Religion is supposed to help a person become moral and righteous, that is the only purpose. To whom is God relating to when saying disbelievers you think? Jews and Christians are called the people fo the Book, since Christians have the Bible and the Jews have the Torah, both recognized as Holy Books in Islam. I believe that it referrs to atheists and satanists, but of course I could be wrong..
