How does a great musician like this give us something beautiful, and it turns into a agenda on race? What a shame. This guy is great. Think Louis Armstrong, who I know wasn't a blues man specifically, had a great voice? I wouldn't mind so much if this guy couldn't sing, but he has REALLY, REALLY good pipes. Let the music take your mind people. There are serious issues o worry about and whether or not this guy sounds "bluesy" enough isn't one of them!

First off ... this guy is AWESOME!!! Secondly, reference the point about who can sing better blues ... it's not about "black" or "white". Some people are "singers" and some can do it better than most. But ANYBODY can sing the blues! You don't have to be a singer to 'express the blues'. It's like traditional folk music - it's 'traditionally' sung by people who aren't singers!

The only problem I have with this is his voice isn't quite as raspy as I like my blues singers to have. That's something most White blues singers have; "Cleaner" voices. Still a great Bluesman, without question.
