I'm an American and I supported the Vietnamese and their independence. The French think they can just leave their colonies to the Japanese to be ravaged then show up again expecting to pretend nothing happened. People were dying from French rule, colonies were being free and Vietnam was not. I don't care if Communism was on their minds, they deserved freedom. Come on, we Americans did the exact same thing in our war of independence.
@FrancoPhobe001 they did it and fucked you for 100 years hahaha thats why french is the secong linguage of your counry, and you have catholics cathedral and french architecture all over your cities, what about your alphabet? hahaha, my only regret is that americans couldnt save vietnam againt the red devil, dont be mad gook hahaha
@usa466 , fucking French catholics cathedral and french architecture were destroyed, we don't neet them, the fucking French were destroyed in our territory ,too, so you are a fucking American who are crying for the loser French , you're only a bastard :0)
The French began invade the Viet people's territory by military force at the end of 19 th century, historians call them COLONIALISTS, they were cruels,..., and They MASK on THEIR FACES "CIVILIZATION","ANTI COMMUNISTS", "DEFEND THE FREE WORLD","HUMAN RIGHT",...they must GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY AFTER THE battle of DIEN BIEN PHU in 1954...
Hello French people, How do you think about many vietnamese civilians, viet compatriots who were killed by French Colonialists under French Colonization?, I think these sort invaders must be exterminated so we, the Viet pacific people will be in LOVE and PEACE
I'm interested in hearing from people of Vietnam and their opinion and experiences in the war. I've read the French and American information but not much is published from the Vietnamese perspective. Probably too much to expect a perspective from anyone involved in Dien Bien Phu but anyone have any relatives in the battle? How are things in Vietnam now? Was it worth the price? I'm serious, I'm very interested in your opinion, if you're from Vietnam.
I come from Ha Noi,and take a wide guess,i'm only 20(^-^).Come,my friend. We welcome you all.Come to see a country not a war.Come to see our people, our land. How we live and die.
In 1954 in VietNam ( at Dien Bien Phu), the French Foreign Legion was paid by the United States for that reason the viet people called them " SLAVES OF AMERICAN " ...
They are all Frenchs, Christian de La Croix de Castries,Marcel Bigeard,... are French,René Cogny (April 25, 1904 -- September 20, 1968) was a French Général de divisionn, The French artillery commander, Colonel Charles Piroth, distraught at his inability to bring counterfire on the well-camouflaged Viet Minh batteries, went into his dugout and killed himself with a hand grenade,...,French army was broken by Viet Army, NOT German army was broken by Viet Army...
yeh its true, after ww2 lot of german prisonners were given the choice to join the legion and fight for France? but onylthose who proved themselves to have fought well. However most of the commander of the legion are from the french army.
25000 viets died at dien bien phu, only 3000 french soldiers were killed... 8 divisions agaisnt 1 division runing out of supplies. French lost but they fought like 10 soldiers each, they can be proud.
Thanks sizzla, thought I was right.Of course the legion was officered by Frenchmen, But as I said there were an awful lot of ex. German army soldiers there also.

The Chinese had try to enslaved, colonised, genocied us for 1000 years so do you think the French and US are really much a deal ?

I did hear that 80% of the French Foreign Legion at Dien Bien Phu were ex German army soldiers. I could be wrong on the % but it was very high.
