I think I like the looks of the lights, but there is a lot of other things i'd like to buy for the 1200 bucks (give or take). was it a pain to install those, or did you have them professionally installed? any feedback would be great! sick vette but id loose the head lights, people probably think your an import until they see your car. get in another car and look into your headlights and tell me that its not irritating..again very nice corvette!

Headlights are much crisper looking now. HID's were new and took a while to burn in.....definetely not irritating through true high quality optics which these have. Thanks for the props!!

well since i left that comment my dad bought a 2008 vette and the headlights are like this and it really does improve you sight, i was very impressed when driving the car. but what? aerodynamics? how do head lights improve aerodynamics??

@pootietang420 think about NIGHT TIME aerodynamics. 97-04 vette use pop up lights to shine the headlight, obviously. when the pop up lights are up, that creates wind resistance for the car. Now the driver might not even notice it at all while driving but wind resistance is more apparent at higher speeds. a car with fixed lights can manage higher speeds better than a pop up light car.

i actually didnt even notice these were fixed in place..might create the small difference but really when is this guy gonna go top speed? and it totaly takes away from the C5 look and makes it look just plain bad. i would go back to the stock light with LEDs or just get a C6..

pop up lights holds the car back at top end speeds, its why gm got rid of them for the c6. top speed c5 is around 186 c6 is 196 and the lights has alot to do with this. c6 has about 50 more hp. stock but not having the pop ups helps for wind residence it was like having two lil walls on the front end. i had a 2001 c5 and that kit was like 1500 at the time. its not just for looks.

at the beginning the back is a c5 then when the camera is on the side and it looks like a c6 then the front is a c5... never seen one like this it looks like a c5/c6 which is cool. nice car :)

It was filmed underneath an awning at a car wash which magnified the amplitude of the sound. Also the video was filmed using just a digital camera rather than a camcorder, that is why the resolution is so grainy.

No doubt. My uncle has a C5 Z06. Bigger cam, new headers, underdrives, flywheel, etc. He puts out around 500 to the wheels. Took me out on the highway once and my feet went numb from the blood getting pushed back into my body lol. He runs constant low 11 second passes. He burnt out a $1600 racing clutch in a year and a half though lol. Daily driver too. Gotta love the vette's. America's sports car since 1953.
