  • I have this but very hard to buy one here.Much people here use ipod.Microsoft should sell Zune in Vietnam, lot of people here love Zune but it's so hard to buy one.

  • lol. I love my 80 gig red. I got 150 music videos on it, 18 full length movies, 2000 pictures and 3500+ songs. And i still have 48 gigs left on my baby. This is insane. I have literally ran out of stuff to put on it. I think 80 gigs might be overkill. Either way i love it.

  • haha your so right about circuit city. i always go in there and browse, but i somehow seen to only buy my electronics from best buy.

  • apple packages their products better in my opinion god vid though

  • u mean the case around the zune 30

  • how are you wrapping your headphones that makes them break so easily?

  • well if your headphone keep breaking cause of the way you wrap them what do you think you should stop doing

  • they are bringin out a touch zune

  • here's a great idea:

don't fucking wrap your headphones in that "method"?

  • it's just that some headphones can't take the wear and tear of it (even my nice Shure E4c's, which were fucking expensive) Unless you know of a better fucking method, then I will continue to wrap my earbuds this way, regardless of the effect it puts on the 'buds

  • okay idk if you found out already but the circle indent on the back of the 30gb zune was so when you held it sideways you would have better grip on it. I never saw the point in it and i hold mine just fine :D

  • oh so it's just a finger placeholder thingy... not exactly necessary, but I like how it's there, it gave me something to wonder about for a while.

  • and the headphones that come with it are really good.

  • Nice video man, but what about the volume ? is it good ?

  • oh it's excellent

  • the only thing i hate about the zune 30 is the battery life. In my everyday use it doesn't last for a day. I didn't expect to be like that but i still love my zune30. I have to recharge the battery every single day =/. especially if i put in shuffle mode OMG it lasts like 4 hours, and the shuffle mode doesn't even randomly play some are repeated, oh well, nothing is perfect in this world =).

  • hmm... 4 hours seems waaay too short... maybe you should get that checked out. As for the volume issue, I think it's your Zune, but IDK.

  • no i was just comparing to ipod, even other mp3 players ipod has the loudest player i ever heard BUt it was fine, i love my zune better than ipod 30. On the battery, i dunno if it's exactly 4 hrs but i use shuffle mode and i keep changing the song so maybe that's the reason why. Now i turn off the shuffle, OMG the battery last long like whole day.

  • hmm well the audio on my previous Zune (30GB) and my current Zune have always been plenty loud. Anyways about the battery, when you're in shuffle, it randomly chooses songs from all over your Zune's hard drive, so if you make a random playlist and use that instead, it will be able to cache the songs to the Zune's memory instead of reading the hard drive for the song, which results in better battery life. The way they improved the battery life with the 80GB was with a slightly slower processor.

  • Oh thanks for the info about the shuffle, i was gonna make the playlists but too many songs to pick, so yah thanks. for the volume my ear is use to it so it's loud enough now. maybe i just have to adopt the sound.

  • hey i have one more question, I bought this "Music Power duet" USB charger at walmart and it says It can charge your zune, ipod, and other mp3 player. DO you think it's safe to use third-party usb adapter even if it says compatible with zune?

  • yeah it should be perfectly safe, because all usb devices use only up to 5 volts at 500 mA. Zune is a usb device, so it will only use that much power.

  • ha

maybe cuz u have ur screen contrast on high and like never turn off the Zune.

thats basically all wut it is.

and well i had the Zune 4GB and i put it so the light turns off after 5 seconds and the contrast was low and i had battery power that lasted for a looooooooooong time xDD

    iPods suck. ;]

  • i have my brightness on high sometimes on medium, because i want to see the screen clearer.. and zune 4gb has 24 hrs of battery while zune 30 has 14 max, so yah.

  • yea, nice fairy tale

  • that does not make any sense... if i was picky then wouldn't the product of my choice, be a great product to have all of my accommodations?

learn how to spell you sound like a retard with out a tongue

  • i prefer 10x for a device to have weight than to be BIG and BULKY like the zune.

  • BIG and bulky hmmm... You must be blind or crazy to think that adding 2mm makes something really bulky, and insanely ugly. 2mm is BARELY visible on the device, you have to put the devices side-to-side to compare thickness, and in the end, it doesn't matter much. 10x weight, huh? alright, take your 10x device and the 3 belts your going to be needing to keep your pants up... Weight is a much more important factor than size in the case that the sizes are nearly identical and weight is almost double

  • as more as i read your comments the more that assures me that you have never seen an ipod classic IN YOUR LIFE.ipod classic is thinner, more compact, and has a way better battery life this zune is thick and big, and sadly FEELS CHEAP.for example look at the back case, has a plastic feel to it(prob is)the only thing going for the zune in comparison to the classic is the fm tuner.but who listens to their radio on a handheld lately? i mean wouldnt that defeat the whole purpose of having a mp3 payer?

  • No, actually I've been to the Apple store to see the ipod classic before, and yes, it is thinner than the Zune, but so slightly that you won't be able to tell unless you held both devices next to each other. True, the battery life on the ipod is superior, but only because Zune utilizes wifi and a radio, has a MUCH larger screen, and uses higher quality audio chipsets along with using a faster CPU. Zune is only a little bit taller due to the LARGER screen.

  • Oh, FEELS CHEAP?! The Zune's back is made of the same material as the ipod classic, which is aluminum, only difference is that the Zune team made a better decision on brushing the aluminum on the Zune instead, which doesn't allow it to scratch, giving it the rougher feel you speak of, but without the dumb little scratches, smudges and dents in the non-brushed aluminum on the ipod classic.

  • The FM radio is just an added feature that some people like to have. Wouldn't video and photos be considered dumb for an MP3 player too if we all followed your logic?

  • slightly? ok its exactly 2.4mm of a difference, FOR THICKNESS THATS ALOT! it would of been a different story is it was length or width! i prefer to have a little bit smaller screen to get about a 60% increase in battery life!

whats the need of a fast cpu? its a ficken mps player!! wifi on zune is useless! you cannot buy music, nor go on youtube or internet!

i am not saying zune is bad,no, i am saying COMPARED TO THE IPOD CLASSIC, zune is not better.

  • alright, so 2 millimeters is a lot! wow, you're too picky. battery life on the Zune is NOT 60% the battery life of the ipod, and the screen is so much better than the ipod, especially for video. CPU speed is important for the games on the Zune, which, if I didn't mention, are INCREDIBLE compared to ipod games. Wi-Fi is a very very important feature if you listen to podcasts like I do, because it will wirelessly sync all of them to my Zune for me. And another thing- multiplayer games via WIFI!

  • you do not get it, for thickness it matters!

games are equal on both because it has same resolution, no difference

wireless sync? correct me if i am wrong, you need to be connect to YOUR registered wi-fi right so if i am next to my computer, then whats the point of having it sync wireless? think about it, if i am about 2ft away from computer than why do i need to wireless sync something? might as well charge the device while i sync it. it would of been a different story if u can sync ANYWHERE

  • Games are definitely NOT equal, as I or you or anyone can make a Zune game today and sell it if you wanted to, you don't need to be a developer. Also, there are way more on the Zune and they are much better, along with the graphics being much better. Reolution is not the only factor to a game. WI-FI is not a 2 foot wireless standard, it reaches all around my home, so I can be downstairs, and be like "Oh, I want that podcast that airs today", hit wireless sync and get it without going to my pc.

  • like i said, it would of been a different story if i am in another country and i can sync y info... a couple of feet in walking is not a big problem to incorporate a feature.

w.e. man, lets just leave it at this: different people like different things.... fair?

    enjoy your zune

  • What if your USB cable sync left at your friend's house then you really have to sync your song, what would you do? yes that's right sync it with the wifi. And yah you need a router to get the wifi work, i tought i can sync directly to my laptop wifi.

  • what are the chances that you took your only usb cable and left it at his house...

  • w.e. guy i seriously do not want to keep on replying i have better things to do

    enjoy your zune

  • alright seeya enjoy ur ipod or whatever it is u have

  • WOW THATS A HUGE BITCH

  • WTF?

  • the zune is very big

    very big!

    its thick, bulky,

  • Very big in comparison to what??

It's not thick- It's only 2mm thicker than the ipod video, which people don't consider to be thick, and it's neither bulky. If you really think it's too big, maybe the 8GB would be better for you...

  • the 80gb ipod classic is WAY THINNER than this

8gb wont do, due to little memory and feels kinda too small

to be honest i do not find a much difference from new 80gb zune to old zune

  • WAAAY THINNER??? WOW 2MM!!!! SO FUCKING THINNER!! You've probably never even seen the 80gb in real life, but on paper, the 80GB is 2mm thinner, and it's ACTUALLY LIGHTER IN WEIGHT! And weight is still a pretty important aspect when something sits in your pocket all day. SO wouldn't that make the ipod the HEAVY BITCH?

  • your room is so dark, I can hardly see the zune.

  • sorry I don't own professional filming lighting equipment... what do you expect? All of the lights were on..

  • I didn't expect professional lightning, who would be? But since you made an informative video, it should be more professional look at least.

but it doesn't matter. there are lots of zune unboxing here on utube.

  • lol leather case manual

  • I love you.

  • wtf is that?

  • You've made me so happy with this unboxing video.

    Thank you :)

Also, "there was this circle thing on the back of the Zune..." LMAO. I never knew why that was there either.

  • lol yeah the circle, I still don't know what they put it there for. It's one of the only big mysteries about the Zune

  • hi crazysamz,i have heard that illegal songs cannot be synced to zune and since i live in india so we don't get mp3's easily and we have no other option but to download it from p2p's like limewire etc.please help me out

  • yes, illegal p2p's will work with zune, and I'm sorry you can't use more "legal" alternatives in India. But yes, Limewire, bittorent, etc. WILL WORK with the zune, as they are just normal MP3 and wma files, which almost all mp3 players, including Zune, can play.

  • wow i haven't notice that it has a very similar box like the new ipods. lol, can anyone make up their own ideas now-a-days!

  • The 80gb zune is better because it has a bigger screen and you can see everything much clearer and the headphones of the zune are better than the apple headphones, and you can see your videos and podcasts better on the screen, and the zune still fits in your pocket for on the go movement.

  • The Zune has always been the better product when compared to the competition... It's just not as widely known about, which is why you should tell everyone you know about Zune, 'cause then they won't end up with a lousy Ipod.

  • I Am So confused! What is better an ipod 80 GB classic or Zune 80 GB? I Am not Sure no one I know has a Zune But I Want it!

Most of my friends and family have a ipod

They say its cool but I Am amazed by Zune.

    What Should I BUY?...........

  • Definitely Zune, you get way more features for the same price.... also, you get a more durable product, it's screen is glass, it's back is brushed aluminum and it's not shiny on the front, and so it won't scratch like an ipod.

  • BrettH413, you have no proof that iPod is better

  • he will say you have no proof that zune is better but w/e .. i love more the zune, the things on ipod touch like youtube and internet is a little bit useless, i got a couple of friends who have a ipod touch and they only go on internet or youtube at their home.. its not everytime you find a rooter or something in the city, and using internet on a ipod touch when you are in ur home is sooo useless, ur computer is at maybe 10 feet away from you :o

  • in my opinion i feel that the ipod is better..but thats just my opinion..

  • Zune

  • yeah i have a 30 gig but i think im gonna wait for 3rd gen.

    theres also a rumored zunephone

  • I'm so jealous! I have a white Zune 30... maybe I'll wait until the 4th generation Zune comes out before I upgrade.

Also, don't put the camera so close while you're unpacking. You can't see things well.

  • ...you realize that this is the second? the third is coming out in 2009.

  • Yes... I know. My Zune 30 is solid. I'm not going to replace it until the 4th generation Zune comes out.

  • i have one of these, all is well, apart from.. when i drag or add a folder for my videos (wmv files btw) the zune software detects them in the collection, but before i can sync them to the device completely i get a "send error/dont sent error report) and the software closes before i can do anything. they are the right file types, any ideas?

  • Do you have your software configured to automatically sync? If so, don't do that. For anything... except maybe podcasts. Also, I don't think it'll make a difference, but you might want to not have the software running when you add stuff.

  • How would you say this holds up against the iPod Touch? Can the Zune handle 256kbps music files?

  • I would say it's a lot better than the ipod touch, and it can play over 256KBps, I think it goes up to a really high number, but the highest I use is 320kbps. Why the Ipod touch isn't as good?

Get the touch if you want to just look cool, instead of looking cool AND having functionality with the Zune.

(I found 4 people on my floor in my high school this morning with Zunes through the wi-fi, so you can easily find people with Zunes and share content)

  • what about music videos i have several videos i want to my zune but it doesn't work, beacuse of "send error/don't sent error report". is there truly any free converter that really transform music files into "zune wmv"

  • Try super C, it's free.

  • Tanks for the help!

Tis kicks iPods ass dontcha think?

Do you do the unlimited doawnlods?

  • Yea it's a lot better than an Ipod in many ways for most people, and I do use the unlimited subscription service. IN a few years, Zune will be more popular than Ipods.

  • It will, I was just looking at an iPod touch, Waht about them?

A question, When you share songs and someone gives you a song, how long do you get to keep it?

Oh yeah, Zunes will be more popular than iPods in a year or two. Everyone just pays for stuff that has the Apple logo on the back.

  • Is the Zune Market place good?

The the Zune 80 have hard drive errors or skip songs like the iPod classic does?

Is it okay for running or working out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

  • The Zune Marketplace is excellent, it has a variety of different artists and is affordable thanks to it's wonderful subscription service- Just pay $15 a month for UNLIMITED Downloads!

The Zune will not skip songs if you mean skip accidentally, and all hard drives eventually die, so yes, it will eventually get the hard drive failure on the Hard drive based Zunes, but it will last a good few years, most likely 5 (average life span of a hard drive is 5 years)

  • It's great for running, even though it's got a Hard drive. This is because it only reads the hard drive at the beginning of a song for about 3-10 seconds, and then the song is stored in the Zune's flash memory, so it doesn't need to read the hard drive until the next song. Just be careful not to drop it when changing songs.

  • unfortunately not without parallels or boot camp.

  • I Hate That circle on the back of the 30GB! WTF! What is that for! Who thought of that! and another thing, who thought of faded rubber on the 30GB!Its crap, Faded crap. i still love my zune but that rubber is probably the reason its so big!

  • i just read that you need vista to sync this thing, no written text anywhere about xp (i don't want to switch to vista) do you use xp? or do you know weather its compatible with it? thanks

  • it works on XP

  • Yea, it works on XP as long as you have service pack 2 (free download, you probably already have it installed).

Sorry I didn't respond, youtube was down (at least for me it was)

  • youtube was down for everyone. just finding the answers to concerns since i'm still saving the money for it. being patient once and for all instead of getting stuck with another flash based/skip through player, i have alot of music. all my doubts are gone either way, thanks alot for your help

  • r u high

  • What?? What kind of question is that??

  • what is the soud quality like on that?

i have alot of music and i'm saving for a player that can hold all my stuf once and for all

i heard that the sound is "tiny" on this. i really like the zune, but the sound quality is my only doubt because i actually dont know, loud/bassy enough?

    thanks

  • The sound quality and volume is incredible on the Zune (Much better than most mp3's, including the entire Ipod line)

The bass is excellent, the headphones are awesome, and the build quality is phenomenal.

You will also be able to store your music collection along with your pictures and videos with it's large 80GB capacity.

  • i know my music is around 50gig, i plan to downsize. i wanted an archos at first (they have ridiclious hard drives), but i want the focus on music and the zune is great for that, archos focus on video alot more (i still love archos)

thanks for your reply, i know for myself the sound quality on ipods are great so if this is a good match i have nothing to worry about. thanks

  • I concur, I have to disagree with you with the audio. I have zune 30 and the audio is not loud enough and the bass response is also not enough compared to ipod nano. But i dont know about zune 80 maybe they fixed it.

  • What headphones were you using to test this?

  • I am using the zune 30 headphone. Actually my brother has ipod 30gb and the highest volume on ipod 30gb is way too loud but on my zune 30 i have to keep pressing up for volume hoping it gets louder. I was disappointed but it was fine i can deal with it, do you think that's normal? I wish i have a friend that i can compare my zune with the same brand.

I was using the same headphone to compare both.

  • you need a ipod touch

  • No thanks, I want all of my music with me, not just part of it, 32GB is too little for me, and $500??? Are you insane?? I can get 2 Zune 80GB's with that!!! And I want to ave some actual buttons, button feedback, you know?? Plus there's no reason for me to get one, I already have a smartphone that does more than the Touch.

  • Do u have problems with wireless sync on yours? cause mine wont sync and i have called ms.

  • No, mine works fine. Maybe you should try a different security method on your router, it didn't work with WPA-2 + Tkip security, so I used WPA security + Tkip, so it works fine now.

  • haha o cause i think thats what i have set is WPA-2 tkip. well thanks i will just have 2 use a different one.

  • You need to replace that burnt out light bulb!

  • I have a burnt out light bulb?? where??? If I did in the video, chances are I've already replaced it (This video is almost 5 months old)

  • what headphone raping method that u use that breaks ur headphones lol

  • IDK, I just wrap them a little

  • Which shure headphones are you talking about in your video? Which model?

  • they were Shure E4c's

  • Is there a magnet on those in-ear plugs?

  • yes, they go together for portability

  • last commen...sorry for the constant posting....u can rate ur songs right?

  • Yes, you rate them, but instead of star ratings, it's an "I like this" or "I don't like this" approach, done with hearts (you'll love it)

  • Thats great dude awesome. They were gonna support me the problem was they decided to check it and said:"We really dont see any problems with it, it's running fine" then I go: fine?! The volume is messed up I can only charge it, I can't seem to sync it or format it for that matter Then they said: well we tried it here and it seems to be working so i'm like: you know what? screw you guys im out. I feel so used..anyway, how strong is the volume?..can u set it to a point where u might just go deaf?

  • yea, the volume gets really high, but I prefer to use it from volume levels 8-14 most of the time (20=MAX volume level). Sorry about what you had to go through with your ipod. Oh, and you'll love the Zune software (So much better than itunes)

  • Yeah im using it right now...i dont understand the monitering folder thing though...i can drag my music to the software and the song is there, even if i have a monitered folder or not...so i dont really uderstand the moniter folder thing...why is it there when im just simply dragging my mp3 files to the collection?

  • it's just so that if you have auto-sync setup, you will be able to just put your music in the folders (or have files automatically download into those folders) and then the Zune software will automatically sync it to your Zune.

  • cause i wouldnt want like u know they break and i cant use my radio anymore lol...cause the customer help from microsoft told me they are kinda like an anttena too

  • so u got the 80 gig zune...i must know please crazy...is it more durable on scratches?...like does it scratch easily like the ipod?

  • No man, this thing will not scratch no matter what! It's extremely durable, because it's got the glass screen that will not scratch, and the brushed aluminum back, so you're good to go. The only thing is because it's such a big glass screen, you may want to get a case or make sure you don't crack it, it's easier to break the screen, but it won't scratch.

  • I personally use an invisible shield, but that's because I'm always cautious about dings on my devices, which is why I have a screen protector on nearly everything.

  • cool dude cool...it just there are 2 things about it that i found out thats bringing me down...is it true that it has no clock or EQ?

  • yes it is true that there is no clock or EQ, but there's a reason why you may not care about that. The Zune already has great audio quality that is supposed to compensate for, if not do better, than an EQ. The audio quality is awesome on this thing (I've got Shure's, so I know a little about audio.) Also, the thing that makes up for the lack of a clock is that the Zune isn't trying to be an "all-in-one" device, it's trying to be a media device. (as of now) That's it's sole purpose: Media.

  • Oh awesome, man i should have thought of that thanks...another thing...lets say my earbuds broke right?...i can use other earbuds and i would i still get like the singnal for the radio right?...cause the earbuds that come with it are special also for that reason

  • yes, any earbuds will work for it and work along with the radio. The higher quality the headphones, the better radio signal you get. (at least with my cases that has been happening) My shure's and my Zune earbuds get me an excellent radio signal, but my V-moda vibes did ok, and my crappy earbuds I could find didn't too that bad, but they could be better. The reason the Zune 'buds are special is because they are like a cloth, it's really awesome, and they're very durable, so I doubt they'll break

  • cool dude...have u encountered any problems withur zune 80?...if u can tell me that i would greatly appreciate it....because my zune is coming through the mail...a Zune Original with a tattoo engraving ^_____^

  • nice... The only problem I've had with the Zune is... actually, I can't remember any... I can't imagine why?? Because it's such an awesome PMP!

Well, about the only minor annoyance is this- When it's sitting in the dock, and you have wireless sync set up, if you pause your music for one minute, it will start to connect to your pc and sync, it's just kind of annoying I can't set it to 5 minutes or something a little longer than 60 seconds. It gets annoying when listening to podcasts usually.

  • Another thing I would like to know...the video?...is it in good quality?...and also i have alot of mp4 videos that were on my ipod which i have em as files on my desktop...will they work on the zune?

  • THe mp4 files should work (I believe the should...) and the video quality is excellent, you'll feel like you are really watching it on a TV. (3.2 > 2.5 inch screen, no matter the quality) The quality of the screen and video is both excellent.

  • Hey man u been a great help i feel more confident about the zune now...i especially loved the fact that its much more scratch durable...you know that my old 5th gen ipod has a ton of scratchs?...it can easily get scratches just by putting it in ur pocket...i hate the scratches...other than that im getting a Zune cause my iPod broke and apple idnt wanna help me so...anyway, hos is the touch pad on it?...does it feel really nice?

  • the touch pad is awesome, you will love it compared to the scrollwheel. Trust me on that one. Too bad apple didn't support you for a new Ipod, but what do you expect, it IS apple!

  • how in the hell do u break headphones in 3 days by raping them lol

  • i hate you cuzz you have a 80 g i want it so bad

  • How much does it cost. You know?

  • only $250. its really not that bad, atleast i think so.

  • I hope Microsoft would create an upgrade that enables Internet connectivity so you don't have to buy another one if ever they release another generation. (just like the PSP)

  • GUIYUIHUJHJIOHUOHBUOHUIOHUIHOUHJBUHO

    aAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! NIGGER

  • What the hell is this??? What kind of comment is this??? It serves no purpose, has no point, and doesn't make sense. I'm not even black, so why would you ever even put that word in your comment?? Maybe when tomorrow starts (Black History month), you'll learn to never use that word, douchebag.

  • i say... that word, but im not raciest, im Mexican, so im more welcome that white people, i have black friends and thats just how we talk you kno how it izz, but that other fagget is...

  • HEHE. i was just kidding. picking zune or ipod has to do more with preference than with intelligence or coolness. they both have their good techs and their "cool" factors.

  • shut the fuk up

  • No, u shut the fuck up. Make a point before talking!

  • hey have you have any problems of any kinds with you zune 80 headphones. b/c after two or three weeks my the left head started to stopped working, only i could hear a sight echo. and which headphones is the best for working out and hearing the best sound possible

  • If you want some good work-out headphones, the ones for the 8gb Zune (which I believe are sold in stores separately also), and they're pretty good quality. For the Best listening headphones in terms of sound quality, I have a pair of Shure E4c's, but they have newer, more affordable Shure earbuds out there for about $100 that sound amazing.

  • damn 100 dollars that is funny right there, but thanks for the information. i may need some new headphones, b/c it's stop working in one head. i'm also planning to find a alarm clock iHome w/ working radio

  • If you want some cheaper earbuds that sound pretty good, I'd just stick with the Zune Premium earbuds, they're pretty good. For an Ihome/alarm clock for the Zune, they have a few, like the ihome ZN9 Dual Alarm, Stereo Clock Radio: First clock radio for the Zune, the ZN9 is also based on the iH9 and will offer similar features to the iP9. It's not coming out until march though :(

  • did it comme with the 14 trial to the marketplace

  • everyone knows being cool is better than being smart.

  • You've got a lot to learn about being both... Oh yeah, never mind, you'd never UNDERSTAND.

  • all the cool kids have ipods =)

  • Really. The "Cool" Kids. All the smart people own Zunes. What's better, being cool, or being smart while being cooler?? Why don't you decide??

  • or u can just get an ipod and be popular with all your friends...=D

  • Be popular with your friends?? I have 5 friends from my main group of friends that all have Zunes, and I send songs to them nearly everyday at lunch. So what do you want me to do, have an Ipod that can't share and stay in the corner and listen by myself?? No thanks.

  • OMG guys! Tet is coming (lunar new year/ chinese new year) and i am getting 300$! woot! its a traditional thing to the vietnamese ppl. anyway, i saw your vid and it blew my mind like almost literally! i haven't seen any vid on youtube that goes into detail as you did it. you seriously convinced me on considering a zune. lol. thanks man. btw, can i ask you how much do you recommend me a zune more than a classic ipod video? should i get zune 4/8/30 instead? ty

  • Well, here's what I recommend- If you have the money, definitely get the 80GB model, it's worth it. You don't really need a screen protector, because there is basically no part that will get scratched on it (unlike the ipod classic). You also get a HUGE screen with high quality glass on it, along with radio, wifi and some excellent headphones. (much better than ipod's ear buds).

  • You can even get recorded TV shows on your zune for free! Legally! All you need is a vista media center machine with a tv tuner card!

  • hi guys i have enough money buy to an ipod classic OR zune what should i vuy wich ine is really better?

  • I suggest you get the Zune 80, you get a subscription service for music, you can legally record TV and movies from Windows media center and put it on your Zune, you get radio+ wifi, and you get a much larger screen. You also get some awesome headphones with it!

  • OMG!! Can we please stop talking about zunes and ipods!?!?!?! Seriously this arguing is getting us nowhere. Zunes are nice, ipods are nice. They have different features and u shud just get the mp3 player whose features appeal to u more. Ok done CASE CLOSED!

  • Is Zune really better than iPod Classic??

  • Yes, it's a much better value for the same price. You get wifi, and if you have Vista Media Center, you can record TV shows and movies legally, and I have a program that automatically deletes commercials for you, so you don't have to pay for tv shows. And the Wi-fi is also a great feature. Once you go from the small 2.5 inch screen to the 3.2 inch, you won't be able to go back.

  • Thanks a lot.....Really Appreciate it...

  • ipod fanboys? u have dreams of people getting ipods and u call it a nightmare? and apparently your sister who doesn't even have a PMP hates ipods too. hmm I think you're calling the wrong people fanboys...

  • I said she likes Zunes, I didn't say she hated ipods. The reason being is because she uses my Zune account with my unlimited downloads subscription service, and so she likes the software/music and she has seen and used my Zune, she says she likes it better than her friends nano.

  • lol, I had a dream- excuse me, a NIGHTMARE, that my sister wanted to get an Ipod touch. LOL, I know she would never do that, and she likes Zune's better. She doesn't have one, but if she was to get a PMP, it would be a Zune. I've been reading too many ipod fanboy's comments lately, maybe I need to stop. Then the nightmares will stop. LOL.

  • Zune=FTW

    Ipod=FTL

    Nuff' said mutha truka

  • hells yeah!!

  • sansa sucks. I had one and I dropped it once and it was totally ruined. it wouldn't turn on the music wouldn't play. it was my fault for dropping it but still...

  • actually, sansa's are pretty good. My mom got a Sansa e260 (the 4gb model), and she doesn't take the best care with it, she drops it often, but it runs fine. It does what she needs it to and she knows how to use it fine.

  • 1 more thing idk if u use limewire but i do do u know if the songs downloaded of limewire work fine on the zune nd how do u get videos on it??
