  • i loved Isabels voice....so sexy

  • 3:57 broke my heart- she walked out of the door, but never walked back in.

  • I like Louise but the way she acts can be annoying at times.

  • Lets start a Sanford and Son and Jeffersons Fanclub.. I ShoNuff is one crazy cat when it comes to the Jeffersons and Sandord and son.

  • why does mom jefferson have a blue wig?

  • @FijneWIET She always wore a wig

  • @nickdecarlo76 yeah but why a blue(ish) one?

Was that fashionable in those days?

  • @FijneWIET It pretty much was. Lots of old women used to wear blue, grey or white wigs.

  • I'll never forget an episode where Mother Jefferson and George were discussing something about a funeral and he doubted his mother's memory regarding someone living or dead and she said in her classic tone, "oh George I may not know the people who are still living but I surely know the ones who are dead." This was priceless to hear in the context of that episode and I remember it some 33 years later perusing the series. Being older and more cognizant of the ravages of Cancer Sara was a hero!

  • Thank you for putting these episodes on here. This show is funny

  • Isabel Sanford was 20 years older then Sherman Hemsley.

  • yea.. mother jefferson looks sickly here :(

  • Zara Cully does look very pitiful in this episode. It makes me sad to see her acting in this condition.

    R.I.P.

  • You can see how ill she was.

  • i wish i could go back in time things were so simpler then i was 8yrs old when this episode aired

  • I'm superstitious about black birds/crows. I believe they're death birds. When they're on my fence, I duck or hide everytime they look in my direction. I guess you could say I be dodging death. lol

  • what is mother jefferson carrying n her hand when she leaves take a look mabye its the orchard lol

  • The bloody mary comment was hilarious.

  • So, Marla Gibbs, Sherman Hemsley, and the actress who played "Jenny Willis Jefferson" are the only ones still living?

  • @roz2zie Damon Evans (the second actor to play Lionel), Ned Wertimer (Ralph the Doorman) and Danny Wells (Charlie the Bartender) are also still living.

  • @roz2zie The guy that played Ralph the Doorman is still living as well.

  • @roz2zie No and also Norman Lear xD Even though he was never on the show but only produced it.

  • George likes to set Louise on Florence that's why he asked her for dinner.

  • I remember watching this show as a tiny kid and it's hard to believe that three of these four women are now gone. Zara died in 1978 from Lung Cancer (you can see her gasping for air in this episode); Roxy died in 1996 from Breast Cancer (I always thought she was the most elegant and beautiful black woman I'd ever seen); and Isabel died in 2004 from Cardiac Arrest. Zara and Isabel both died at age 86 and most people don't know that Isabel was 20 years older than Sherman.

  • So why does he ask his Wife for dinner when he has a maid?

  • God Bless Mother Jefferson. That she kept acting until a few months before she left us shows what a great individual she was. Her last words on the Jeffersons "Just tell George his mother always has a room waiting for him. "

RIP: Sara Cully Brown, Roxie Roker, Isabel Sanford, Paul Benedict, Franklin Cover & Mike Evans. The Jeffersons is one of a kind and will be hard to duplicate.

  • 9:05-9:08, Oh George, think first lol

  • You could see she was ill. She is much thinner and shaky. Miss and love Mother Jefferson (Sara Cully). RIP

  • RIP to a lovely and funny actress.

  • P.S. This episode was her last appearance on "The Jeffersons". Zara Cully 1892- 1978 (86 years old)

  • You can tell that the cancer was taking its toll here in the fourth season back when this aired on November 12, 1977, on Zara Cully (Mother Jefferson) RIP. She looked very ill, and not lively when you compare seeing her in earlier seasons. She died three and half months later on February 28, 1978. RIP!

  • @1MrsHaughton876 Yes it's so sad. She even sounds different. If you notice too in the later seasons they have her sitting alot and keep the camera off her. She was so talented and funny. May she rest in peace.

  • @1MrsHaughton876 and she lost alot of weight too.she was thicker in the early episodes
