Do not get me wrong,The man was a great speaker and powerful advocate for racial equality.But his positive characteristics hardly insulated him from errors of judgment like extramarital affairs for example.

So why would you place any particular value on his opinion on metaphysics?

@NemoUtopian Well, you see... Martin Luther King, in my opinion, was maybe the last man on earth to interpret the real message of Christ. And he proved it right. He said it himself: "Christ gave us the goals and Gandhi the tactics", and he succeeded. Plus you don't get racial equality nor civil rights just for being a great speaker. It is pretty clear MLK was a brilliant man, and as a clergyman, a very studious one. So that's basically why I'll rather stay with his words rather than yours, see?

@robinhoodargentino You posted a video that pretty much equates the prominence of the people within it for the rationality of their theistic belief.

The very fact that you do not seem to realize that their god belief is a claim that their prominence in no way substantiates, well it rather highlights how vapid your reasoning is.

Newton for instance is a master of physics,not metaphysics.His ability to work out gravitational mechanics does not validate his alchemy or theism.

@robinhoodargentino Perhaps you should back up your criticism with examples of where I am wrong about Newton. Do you dispute his alchemy?

Or is it his metaphysics that you think I unfairly reproach. If such is the case then perhaps you agree with his assessment that the concept of the trinity is wrong,and that worship of Jesus Christ as god is idolatry. Do you agree with his rejection of the immortal soul?

Do you by chance believe his prediction regarding end times prophecy?

@NemoUtopian Mmmm... interesting point. I think the metaphysics of space and the wave structure of matter are reflected in Newton's absolute space n' particle conception of matter, plus his concept of God as a creator.

Actually, yes. I agree with Newton. I think idolatry is useless. Actually Jesus said it himself. He didn't want any ritual in his name and, besides what lots of christians (specially catholics) claim, Jesus made perfectly clear that he wasn't "God", he was His son, and so are we.

About the immortal soul... I think I'll agree with Socrates on that one; and about Newton's prediction... well, he said the world wouldn't come to an end before 2060. I don't know about that, of course I wouldn't be arrogant enough to question Sir Isaac Newton; what I do know for sure is that the world, as we know it, some day will come to an end. It has happened once and I'm sure it'll happen again.

What are your thoughts about it?

This shit happens to me all the time; pseudo-intellectual freaks post my vids pretending they have it all figured, and every time I refute their statements with elaborated arguments that include a bit of culture or historical knowledge, they just seem to disappear
