although i don't play anything like benny goodman, listening to his 1938 carnegie hall jazz concert on the radio late at night when i was around 14 is what made me want toi learn to play the clarinet. nowadays i'm a retired philosopher of science living in pittsburgh.--jim

i'm jim bogen and i played clarinet on the 'burn to shine' cd version of 'suzie blue'. thanks to everyone who commented on it. my inspirations: johnny dodds, jimmy noone (especially 'liza' and 'i know that you know'), george lewis (at the beverly cavens), bob helm (with yerba buena jazz band; thand band includes jim leigh, the suzie blue trombone player). you can find all of these on utube or itunes except maybe the bob helm; you can get that on amazon.

@suzzieqws try acker bilk, or, if you prefer a more jazzy style, try sidney bechet, the andrew sisters, or, as fitzyuc suggested, try benny goodman. always a good bet. muse's You Belong to Me has a sweet clarinet solo in it too, Let's Dance Together by Paul Reeve's MAY not be clarinet, idk, but it's pretty damn good.  and so does Honey Pie by the Beatles.

A new Orleans Dixieland with a song blues feel to it. This song is used in the Cadillac SRX Cross Over 2011 commercial which is how I managed to find this song.
