I was diagnosed with a sinus arrhythmia. I can't eat spicey foods, meat (fish is ok) or drink too much alcohol or caffeine. As long as I do that and maintain a healthy diet and workout routine it seems to stay fairly regular. I see an accupuncturist because after trying to mess with western doctors it was too expensive and they just made me afraid of everything. Since I stopped it's been ok for me. Mine isn't necessarily fatal but I make sure to keep healthy. Good luck girl.
I'm 17 years old and I believe that I have this problem... Sometimes my heart skips a beat or it beats an extra one. I've been heaving this problem for about 3-4 years and I just found out that it can be fatal. Do you take medicine or Is it a way to fix this permanently??
@666Adrenalinboy666 You should go to the doctor I take medicine every day. I had a Catheter Ablation procedure done but while the doctor was working on my heart he had to stop because it got dangerous. So that is why I have to take medicine

Don't listen to blacknmagic's religious mumbo jumbo. They have medications that may help. If you have a very fast beating heart such as Supraventircular Tachocardia (SVT) try meds (usually beta blockers) if they don't work or you have a severe case of SVT you probably will have a Catheter Ablation. I know someone who had an ablation and is doing great after 6 years. But there are risks. I have SVT and am trying to decide on meds or surgery. I wish the best of luck to you!

I figure if we all have to live with it and doctors acting like they don't know for sure how to solve the problem then I might as well share my home remedy for bringing arrythmia under control when it happens. I actually learned the procedure or manuever on a medical channel I think is call Discovery Health on my cable station. Another remedy that helps me is a health store capsule called Taurine taken twice a day.
I have Cardiac Arrythmia SVT where my heart will out of the blue start beating 200 to 250 beats per minute. The first 3 times I had them I went to the emergency room and they administered adenosine and billed me $2000.00 each time. I later learned about a maneuver called the vagus maneuver where you lay on the floor and do a crunch making yourself strain like taking a dump pressing for a 10 second count or gag yourself and cough really hard and that will bring it under control.

I have ventricular ectopic beats and are on a beta blocker, but they are uncontrolled and I cannot do a lot of exercise cause of the tablets, but can't come off them due to the symptoms that arise with it. The should be able to hear it even when your not having palpitaions. You should ask them if you can take a holster monitor test. And see if they can find the problem.
if not a "holter" moniter a stress test would show it or also a king of hearts would find it, a doctor could only hear the problem if it was a problem with the valves of the heart. not a true arrythmia

I used to have siezures, and I had the wear that monitor for 24 too.
My siezures have gone away, but theres a good chance if I ever lose my breath frequently or go faint they can come back, thats the reason I dont run anymore. Goodluck!

From the time I was 14 until 18 when I got pregnant the first time I was a really really bad person and that first pregnancy..I lost my baby and that changed me. My siezures have gone away, but theres a good chance if I ever lose my breath frequently or go faint they can come back, thats the reason I dont run anymore. Goodluck!

Thank You. For about a couple of months last year. I had to slow down on my exercise.When I started taking my new medicine in January of this year 2008 after my surgery. And the medicine started working.My doctor said that I could start back exercising.But know my limit.

girl my grandmother had Arrhythmia and she survived until she was in her late 70's and you will also live a full, fruitful, healthy happy life. stop saying u are going to die Stay strong and you will be fine

thank you for letting me know about your grandmother. Last year my arrhythmia problem was real bad. My chances where not good. But now that Im taking my new medican my chances are better. I never want a surgery like that. Im gonna let people know in another video.

Thank you for being so brave and posting this video online! And girl, don't be scared..be strong! And you talking about being a bad person..I am 22 now and I have 2 baby boys and my life is 100% turned around. From the time I was 14 until 18 when I got pregnant the first time I was a really really bad person and that first pregnancy..I lost my baby and that changed me. When I lost the baby I was soooo sooooo ill from it that I almost died and I thought the same thing..
