We r always in Mahabharat mode?? Business collaboration is a better way, but there too there is corporate warfare!!!What about the path of peace by Gautam Buddha, and renunciates??
@narayandivya1234567 I am agree with you but dis is becoz both happened in different YUG and in SATYUG dere were either of angle or demon...but in this you can clearly see the internal war of a human being. Dis is d reality in 2day world. Even being good fellows like Bhishma, Kripacharya & many more dey had 2 support duryodhana. But Lord Krishna had shown that even in these conditions what one can do
If Any One has The Lyrics Of This Song, There Are Few Words i Am Not able To Understand. If anyone have its lyrics please mail me at vijaybaht1918@gmail.com
06:26 to 06:39 best description of Pitamah, probably the best person in the entire epic, certainly the loneliest and had the worst misfortune to be part of such warfare. No father should ever see his children die before him and he had to see over 4 generation get destroyed in front of him.
@worlddada2000 There are only 4 people that I felt for in the entire war: Bhishma, for the reasons that you stated; Gandhadri, because she gave birth to Dhuryodan; Karan, because of who he was and what he had to do; and Vidur, he was good but he had to side with bad.
@nanichick5 I actually agree with you, Gandhari tried her best to make both Dhuryodan and Dhitrashtra understand, that what they were doing was wrong, she lost all her children to this war and still had the enough love for Pandavas, to bless them. Vidhur was bound by roles and duties, that he could not do anything to avoid this war. Karan was really boxed into a corner, since his loyalty towards Dhuryodan and his debt, forced him into fighting a war which he knew he could not win.
@worlddada2000 And the thing with Karana was also that he had the qualities of all five Pandavas and if he lived I really don't think Dharmaraja would have had to of been king.
@nanichick5 that is right, because according to the law of those time, only the eldest surviving son can become the king, unless there were technicalities like with Dhitrashtra, as such if Pandavas knew the Karan was their eldest brother, then Yuddishtra would have never accepted the throne and instead would have given it to Karan, who indebt to Dhuryodan would have given the throne back to Dhuryodan, as such this war could have been avoided...
@worlddada2000 Did you just say Dhrithrasta was the best person? The sole person who was responsible for the war? Who would rather see the pandava's die then the death of only 1 of his evil son? (he had 100 sons according to the lore). Pitamah was yhe counter version of Krishna, the embodiment of darkness with his son as the prince of darkness!
@AnamiLoka I think you are confusing Pitamha, whose is also known as Bishma, Gangaputra and Devratha, to Dhrithrasta, because in none of my previous comments did i mention Dhrithrasta to be the best person. Please re-read my comments again. If you are still confuse with them, let me know and I will try to clarify further. Because no way in hell, I ever did or ever will call Dhritrashtra as the best person in the Mahabharata epic.
Lord Krishna had to show Kunti Putra Arjun his Divine Form (God Himself), in order for the ace archer to pick up his Gandiva and do his duty. Somebody, just tell me - what hope is there for us?
Funny how evrerybody is tense, with a stiff body posture an a warlike attitude on his face. Everybody but Krishna, who seems to be rather relaxed and even amused. See him at 8:19.
I wonder if this was on purpose or the actor playing Krishna was caught with a smile on his face by accident.
@guru257 it was deliberate, notice he is shown right after the line yeh maha yudh hai, and yeh dharm yudh hai plays focusing on him/Him, song makes the distinction between the two sides maha yudh being the materialistic view of war, dharma the inner truth, but the real war for most was happening inwardly esp for those on adharma side
the horses are controlled and guided by Krishna, it is akin to pulling the reigns in ones mind, where the real battle is with ones own self,
@phantrax The many gods are different manifestations of the supreme. I have a 1/2 hr video on my site which explains a lot. sanatansatyam dot blogspot dot com
@phanthrax no krishna is not A got, but THE God. Unlike many people believe, god wont wave a magic wand and make everything happen. If you really want to understand what happened in the Mahabharata, go and read the book...or atleast watch the show, which only covers about 50% of what is written in the Mahabharat. Krishna is all about action. Meaning you have to get up and do what you have to do. GOD will guide you, but wont do your work for you. But I do sense some sarcasm in your comment.
@sunsp4rk Well, as a christian, I believe in THE God too. But how about the many Gods of Hinduism, are they incarnations of one God, or different gods?
I'll read a copy of the Mahabharat, it looks promising
@phanthrax You really should. It is the Foundation Stone of the Indian Philosophy. To know India or the Eastern Philosophy One needeth read the Mahabharata.
@phanthrax Well...the most reasonable answer is that there is/are no god(s), no manifestations, incarnations... etc.
The Mahabharat is one of the world's greatest books. I hope you read it. Of course the historicity of these stories is doubtful (and very unlikely) just like the historicity of Jesus is also very doubtful.
@Mrparrot73 Actually the history of the mahabharat isnt that unlikely (it prolly is inspired by a true event) caus it is an answer why the vedic civilization declined and not long later a new power rised in India (you can say the age of the buddha), Look it up if you are unsure.
ps. Every human being should know the mahabharat! Even today it is still so damn relevant and it teaches us so many morals, jai Mahabharat!
There is only one God in Hinduism, then the God took three forms and roles quite similar to the trilogy in Christianity. Everything else is his creation and incarnations.
And it gets a little complex too, but you shall understand more if you read about it rather than me explaining about it!
Islam is peace, says the Muslims who constantly insult other religions. Islam is peace said the Muslims who invaded Egypt and subjugated the Copts. Dhrotrahstra may have been blind but he knew what was happening and he had the opportunity to stop his evil son Duryodhan but didn't/ This is one of the best serilas ever to have been made.
Awesome direction, songs, and performances especially those of Bheesma (Mukesh Khanna), Karna (Pankaj Dheer), Duryodhan (Puneet Issar), Krishna (Nitish Bharadwaj).... This program will always remain immortal
@shyampatel23 he acted as jamadagni in vishnupuran, peter gomes in yug ,& in many bollywood movies, this serial was a lot to him ,he is very emotional & centre of attraction,he played the role of brihanala exceedingly well & learnt dance from gopi kishen
This is for everyone. If you want to know the effect of the great war in the contextof the rest of the world, read this. This was hell of a slaughter and no one returned home from the battlefield.
WAR means destruction. we saw this in Mahabharata. Pandava were not happy after winning the war.. There is no one for whom they won... Coz when two powers colloid we only loose
Could you please elaborate on this concept of peace? You do realize we prepare for war so that we may have peace. I think blanket thinking such as this has led the country to where it is today.
Lord Krishna gave Duryodhan and Arjun a choice that one side got the Narayani army and the other side got Lord Krishna (unarmed). The Yadavs and Satyaki sided with the Pandavs and Lord Krishna
I know. WHat I am saying though is that Lord Krishna was a YAdav, so was Satyaki and Kritvarma. Satyaki fought on Pandava side and Kritverma fought for the KAuravas
