Being a former Catholic my issue was that it's not just Christ working through believers alone it's Jesus + XYZ. It's a mix of biblical truths and what people of the church have injected in over the centuries. also the scriptures make it very clear that only the Trinity can hear and answer prayers not assumed saints based on works. In Luke 1:47 Mary says "And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour" so even she needed salvation and though blessed does not have the triune power to answer prayer
@tripleflip7 For a former Catholic, you know next to nuts about the Catholic Church. Good that you leave. For someone who doesn't bother to study and find out about his religion and still claim that he was a former Catholic is a disgrace unto himself. Christ is bringing more faithful Catholics into his Church. Just as Matthias replaced Judas who betrayed Jesus and later hanged himself overcome by guilt and grief so too another new Catholic will take your place. Goodbye. Go, follow Judas.
LOL, nice "friendly" reply there buck-o. And it's that exact elitist attitude towards Christians that does nothing but cause more divide in the body overall. I suspose you're under the impression that you go to heaven just for being "catholic" and not because one has actually given their life to Christ and repented. I follow the scriptures and let people know the love of Jesus and that He died for them and if they repent and turn to Him, they can have a spot in Heaven.
@tripleflip7 Matthew23: 27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
33 “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?" I am trying to learn from Jesus to be "friendly".
@tripleflip7 Here are your words: " I follow the scriptures and let people know the love of Jesus and that He died for them and if they repent and turn to Him, they can have a spot in Heaven." Are you sure? And here are Jesus' words. “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? See the word 'hell' there. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. You sure of heaven?
@tripleflip7 Too many people think that faith means giving God lip service only ("This generation honors me with their lips, while their heart is far from me", Matthew 15:18) Protestantism is lip service. Say the Sinner's Prayer (Lips). Confess that Jesus is your personal Lord and Saviour (Lips). Answering alter call (Lips). Hallelujah! (Lips) Amen, amen and amen (Lips). Kiss wife, say I love you (Lips) Take the garbage out. Why don't you it yourself. I have said I love you. Isn't that enough?
This video show how in U.S.A the youth is manipulated by fake congregations and creed, created by the sionism in many cases, For this mentality in america the peoples is fanatic, becouse americans are fanatics, Youth of America have to know the real Church wich is the Church with the Universal original message of Jesus. Not Mormons,.. Jeova's witness , amish protestants anglicans, calvinist etc.etc. all this churches are fake, born for the necessity of some human, not for divine ispiration sure.
Brother George Berrian, F.S.C., Associate Professor Emeritus of Education at Manhattan College, Bronx, New York, will present a lecture Sunday 8 April 2012 (Easter Sunday) entitled "Discipline the LaSallian Way". Location will be the Bella Abzug Memorial Pavilion on Mircea Eliade Parkway in Riverdale.
Brother Berrian alias The Dome, who presided over the implosion of Manhattan Prep in 1971, suffers from muscular atrophy, the result of beating generations of defenseless high school students.
the RCC invented to false beliefs.. 1) the assumption of mary.. and two.. the idea that mary was born without sin... so tell me if any catholic can by what authority did these two teachings come from and when
In the New King James version of the Bible it clearly states: Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Pretty clear here, you don't offer up to God money or your good works for the GIFT of his Son ! Among others, Catholics don't even know that this simple scripture exists in the Bible. So sad...
To all those who hate Catholics: well guess what? Screw u guys because the catholic faith is the truth and the only way to get to heaven. If u guys think we worship saints and Mary well we don't. We just pray to them.
some of my friends are catholics and they say the same. but isn't praying to someone a form of worship? besides why would you want to pray to them when they can't hear you. Mary was one of the best women humanity has ever known but why pray to her. she is in heaven now and she is no God who can hear you. just pray to God only One who is All-knowing and have respect on the rest. anyway not that my catholic friends have listened me but this is my say in this.
how do you know they can? besides God made those people pious and righteous so they could lead us to the strait path. they're mission would be over with their death. the heaven would be their reward. God doesn't seem to need people to answer people's prayers. Even if they could how will they answer their prayers. Why do people need intermediates to pray to God what is even the point to it?
@hansikelo how do you know god can hear your prayer? :-)
all the prayers were answered by god because only god can answer our prayer. it's the same with i am asking you to pray for me. i don't know you, cannot see you but now i can ask you to pray for me. internet enables me to ask you to pray for me. god internet enables me to ask the saints in heaven who is with god to pray for me too. why we need intermediates to pray for god? it's because we are members of the big family of god.
I have known enough catholics in life to say this: cathoilcs pray to them not "through" them. they don't ask the saints to pray to God for them instead they ask the saints for favors and protection rather than ask saints to pray to God for them. Now you put it like that but I haven't met any catholics to explain it to me like that. Most of them can't even make the difference. no offence
@hansikelo do you know exactly (in detail) what their prayers are, and the full context of their prayers? anyway, we pray to the saints because we believe they are with god; so whatever the prayers are we actually indirectly pray to god, and god knows all our prayers doesn't he? and he knows the reason we pray to the saints is because we know they are his best friends who are always with him...so praying to the saints actually we glorify god IN them.
@hansikelo , The word "pray" comes from the Latin word precari, which simply means to entreat or ask .Look up the word "pray" in the dictionary.(1) To utter petition to God ... (2) To make a fervent request: PLEAD (3) To beseech: implore (4) to make a devout or earnest request for ( Webster's)
@hansikelo • When Catholics pray to God they "utter a petition to God." When they pray to the Saints they are making a "devout or earnest request for" prayers from Mary or the saints.
@hansikelo the Bible mentions, believers asking saints in heaven for their prayers. (one example from the Bible ) Please read (1 Sam. 28:7-20). Saul attempt to speak with the prophet, Samuel, through the medium of Endor .It would have been perfectly fine for Saul to have prayed to Samuel, asking Samuel for his intercession, but instead Saul had a forbidden medium "conjure" Samuel.
@embalyst 1Tim 2:5 is to be understood in context as written in Hebrew 9:14-15, where it's only Christ who reconciled us to God, whereas the Saints intermediate us to God in praying for us.
Hebrewb9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, ..... 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
@embalyst 'Mediator', from the Greek “mesites” as defined by the bible dictionary, a person midway between two parties who establishes an agreement or relationship between the parties and may act as a guarantor of that relationship .
"Mediation" means a standing in the midst between two (contending) parties, for the purpose of bringing them together.
@embalyst The 'two parties' in this case, are of course, GOD, and mankind. Jesus Christ is this “only one mediator by suffering and dying for us”in 1Tim 2:5 .
” For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. “(1 Tim 2:5-6)
@embalyst The english word “Intercessor” from the Greek word "entunchano ", as defined ,'One who entreaties in favor of another, especially one who prays or petitions to GOD in behalf of another'.
@embalyst While Christ is the only mediator between man and God, Christ is not the only Intercessor man has. Taken in context, 'Intercessions', 'Prayers' and 'Supplications' are asked for all men in Timothy 2:1-4 we do nothing more than to ask to Mary and other saints their “Intercession” and pray for us.
@JCats12 I was a Roman Catholic, I prayed the rosary, went to church, prayed the prays. I testify that there is One Way to Heaven through Christ alone (John 14:16) by faith alone (Romans 3:22, Romans 3:24, John 3:16) I testify that that Catholics do worship Mary, although this isn't something openly admitted.
No Catholics don't worship Mary, we have devotion to her, but certainly not worship. It is against the doctrine of the Church to worship Mary.
To understand our devotion think of it this way. We are called to be one with Jesus, Jesus was a devout Jew, Jews & Christians believe Honour thy Father & Mother so is it not right that we honour her? Don't tar the Church because some of its members do not follow teaching. I hope you come home to the Church. God Bless
@CarefulKaren Check out Scott Hahn or Francis Beckwith or Peter Kreeft or Tim Staples or... There are plenty of reasons to become Catholic, my friend. Wise up, perhaps. I did, after hating the Catholic Church, for most of my life. I am so happy to have found the one true Church: The Catholic Church.
@robhaw99 Irenaeus and Tertullian have within their writings the hints of the coming apostasy, which would drive the church away from fidelity to the Bible before 500 AD. Irenaeus was the source of a dozen or more heresies, one of which was that he thought the book called The Shepherd of Hermes was a canonical book. These writings are what the Catholic church fall back on and uses when they try to prove their man-made traditions.
Merry Christmas. The three priests and the former teacher are charged with raping boys. The administrator is the first Roman Catholic church official cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua charged in the U.S. for his administrative actions. Less than a decade ago, he was involved in a case which held 63 priests guilty of rapes. Brennan is charged with raping a 14-year-old boy from a suburban parish. Pastor to Rape Victim: "He Should Have Killed You. At Least You'd Have Died A Virgin."
Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a TREE out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 10:4 They DECK IT WITH SILVER AND GOLD; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Who told you that only the Catholic Church has the authority to interpret scripture. Was he a religious leader called "father," when Jesus told you not to call ANY religious leader "father"? Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. The CONTEXT is Religious teachers, don't throw a hissy fit and try to change it.
Apparently, Jesus didn't have the same education that ya'll had.
In the Bible the church of the Lord Jesus is never called a "WOMAN" anywhere. The church is called a BRIDE (Rev.21), a VIRGIN (2 Cor.11) and a WIFE (Eph.5)--never "A WOMAN." There is a "woman" in Revelation 17:1-6, but she is a religious prostitute built on seven mountains whose colors are purple and scarlet and whose symbol is a GOLDEN CUP (Rev.17:1-10).
@FlagMeUBigot Not a symbol of a golden cup but she has a golden cup full of abominations.
Revelation 17:4 " And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:"
Oh and the Whore of Babylon is the Roman Catholicism.

Ironically, Origen, who wrote the counterfeit Greek text used for Catholic Bibles, was such a heretic, that today he would be considered a Jehovah's Witness since he didn't believe in the deity of Christ, either. He combined Greek philosophy and Christianity. That's why priests study philosophy more than the Bible.
Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. The Catholic church began at the Council of Nicea in A.D. 325.
@Robhaw99 Ignatius, and other "church fathers," always used the term "Catholic" in reference to the Body of Christ as a group of individuals who were saved and who composed the "church" mentioned in Colosians 1 and Ephesians 1 (like Baptists). It was not until the time of Eusebius and Augustine (fourth century) that the term began to refer to a political hierarchy at Rome which was supposed to control all the local churches.
Christians recognized Jerome's Latin Vulgate as a false translation when it came out 200 years after the Old Latin Vulgate. It took 900 years for the Catholics to destroy most Old Latin Bibles and kill their owners.
Before the Gospels were written, 4 Popes already existed, before the Bible, 33. The earliest chritian writings, some older than the Gospels, are explicitly Catholic dogma. WAKE UP! The word came down in the flesh and was preached orally, not in any written matter. The first chrisitans were Catholic Christians, hisotry doesn not lie about that! There is only one true chrisitan church: the one Jesus founded, the catholic. The other christians are false prophets
@Robhaw99 Augustine 354-430, Jerome 340-420, Origen 185-254, Eusebius 263-339, Irenaeus 200 were born to late to,be "fathers" of anything except Catholicism. Read the REAL church fathers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, John, James, Jude, Peter, and Paul. Referencing "church fathers" is a Catholic thing because you reject the Final Authority of the Bible.
@BetsyJo444 Forget it Besty you don't know what you are talking about. Which bible the original one or the one Martin Luther abridged for his own purpose. Enough said, he catholic church is our church, go worship somewhere else and stop trying to justify your beliefs by putting others down. BTW Irenaeus was Born in 125 AD.
@TobyOMontoya007 The majority of manuscripts match what the early Christians were sharing and collected in Antioch. There was a complete Latin translation by 157 AD (the Vulgate) and it was available to the whole Roman Empire. Amazingly, it spread all the way to England by 200 AD. This is not to be confused with Jerome's later perversion (405 AD).
Thank you for this video. I too am a convert to the Catholic Church and before I began to study the history of the christian faith, I could not believe the Catholic Church could be right. But once my eyes were opened by the Holy Spirit to the truth, I had to become Catholic! Now I feel as though I have found the fullness of the Christian faith and a great treasure in The Church! I love the Eucharist and being connected to all christians back to the time of Jesus ,Our Lord and Savior! God Bless !
@robhaw99 Bible believing born-again Christians are not to be confused with Catholics or Protestants. Neither The bad Catholics I listed, the bad "Protestants" you listed, or the supposedly good Catholics listed in the earlier comment would be tolerated by Paul the Apostle in the early church. Your "church" is a counterfeit Christian church full of proud, ignorant, and deceived people who don't know the Gospel from a rosary or bingo card.
@BetsyJo444 Firstly betsy please lose the tired bingo stereotype. Next you need some theological training. Read the works of the church fathers before you criticize our faith. The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. We are neither ignorant nor deceived. But we are proud of our faith. As far as the rosary goes you should read the works of St.Irenaean, a student of Polycarp who was a student of John the Apostle. And again I am not telling you to be Catholic.
@robhaw99 Just leave us to worship as Jesus told us to. And yes Paul would have approved of us just like John the Apostle did. Finally Read the works of the church Fathers before you reply to this post. God Love You.
@WayOfTheMaster454 We have Moody,B. Jones Sr, Whitfield, Sunday, Cartwright, M. Ham, J.F. Norris, Asbury, Fulller, Scofield, Roloff, Spurgeon, Finney.
You have Lucky Luciano, Al Capone, Baby face Nelson, Heinrich Himmler, Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro, pope Joan, Francisco Franco, Rudolf Hoess, Stepinac, Franz Stangl, Mussolini, Origen, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN (Jer.44:17-19), the Godfathers, and 10,000 pedophile priests (+-).
@BetsyJo444 Betsy, Are you saying that there are no bad protestants. Take a look at the records. On your list of protestants you left out the Westbro Baptist Church, Bob Tilson, David Koresh, Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Jones...the list can go on. As I have posted before, we are Catholic and choose to worship within the Catholic faith. If you don't like Catholicism, don't join. But leave us to worship as we see fit and stop putting us down.
The Holy Spirit who is infinite but he doesn't tell you to pray to anyone but God, otherwise it's called necromancy which is one of the abominations the pagans routinely committed before Constantine Christianized them and their practices for political purposes.
@thegorn68 Does Jack Chick hate Catholics? Quite the opposite. In the mid-1970' when he first began to understand what Roman Catholicism really teaches, he knew it was unscriptural. He also knew that to speak out against it would be unpopular and hurt his publishing company. After much prayer, he made the decision that, no matter what it cost him personally, he would publish the truth that Roman Catholicism is not Christian.
@WayOfTheMaster454 I didn't see anything about any pope in Matthew 16, or any other chapter.
The Catholic historian Dollinger, had to leave the church. He could not stand the monstrous way in which the Jesuits and priests there ignored the entire history of their own church to set up the doctrine of papal infallibility
She doesn't know scripture otherwise she would see how the official doctrines of the church contradict scripture. God's word is really the only authority and when traditions don't line up with it, they need to be rejected. No wonder the bible was once on the list of books banned by the Catholic church.
e.g., God cannot exist in the eucharist b/c he doesn't live in places made with human hands - a piece of bread or tabernacle (Acts 17:24). Deny it and you're only deceiving yourself.
@thegorn68 I know what chick comics are, but that's not where I'm getting my info. The magesterium doesn't take the scripture for face value because they believe they have the only valid interpretation. Scripture is equal to tradition for them, and the bible is not the ultimate authority. Instead, they have made themselves the authority. Jesus commented that this is a dangerous thing to do since tradition handed down by the religious can nullify the word of God, Mark 7:13
The pagan aspect of catholicism's rituals that aren't seen in the early church go back to sun worship (baal).
Jeremiah 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Boys and girls, remember that Mary is your holy mother and you must love her just like your very own mommy. She hears all your prayers just like God can. And, remember, you can't understand the Bible, so don't read it or you'll end up like those naughty protestants. Now do 20 hail Marys so God will love you.
There is pple that speak just to defend their religion or "church" but your religion or church will NOT help you when you find yourself standing before your Creator on judgement day. The only thing that can truly save your soul from eternal damnation is a sincere and true encounter and relationship with God Almighty through knowing Jesus Christ Alone.
[A] At the meeting in the Vatican on "papal infallibility" (1864), the Catholic historian Dollinger, had to leave the church. He could not stand the monstrous way in which the Jesuits and priests there ignored the entire history of their own church to set up the doctrine of papal infallibility: later this was modified to "being only infallible when he pronounced OFFICIAL DOCTRINE."
@AL33355 --Papal infallibility is based on Matthew 16. The pope is "imovable" in doctrine and moral teaching because truth never changes. Many churches have changed doctrines and moral teaching for the worse, but not the roman rite catholic church.
[B] To this day no one has been able to put their finger on ONE OFFICIAL doctrine any pope spoke "infallibly" except the SINLESS BIRTH OF MARY (the Immaculate conception, making her equal with Christ) and her RAPTURE UP TO HEAVEN (the divine assumption making her equal with Christ). And neither of these blasphemous heresies are taught in the Bible or even hinted at.
In chapter 7 of Hebrews, it is explained why Old Testament Jewish priests had to offer sacrifices daily. But, because of Christ's ONE TIME sacrifice, the New Testament church has no need for priests--male/female, gay/pedophile, or otherwise. He only had to die ONCE, not continually and everyday in the fictional and blasphemous mass. Many priests in training leave the Catholic church upon realizing this.
Apostle Paul never prays to Mary, tells anyone to honor her or talk about her, and in thirteen Pauline Epistles, there is not ONE MENTION of Mary as a "mediatrix," "intercessor," "gate to heaven" or any other blasphemous title attributed to her in the official Roman Catholic books (nihil obstat) written by Catholic cardinals and bishops.
I am an Roman CAtholic for 39 years and thank God I was delivered from a salvation of Faith+ works! Thank You Lord for God's Grace alone! "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast."Eph 2:8-9 (NKJV)
James 2: 26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
James 2:24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
1 Corinthians 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
@Christianunity1 works FOLLOW a person supernaturally by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit AFTER one becomes born again! The key scripture by the Half-Brother of Christ James is:...I will show you my faith by my works James 2:18. One must interpret scripture in context. "One must be born again or they will not see the kingdom of God" John 3:3. Works DO NOT save, love is not a work, Jesus said it is finished! only believe and receive the Gift of Salvation: John 3:16, Eph. 2:8,9, Rom.3:24.
Matthew 27:56 Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's sons.
This "other Mary" at the Cross, is revealed in John 19:25 to be the wife of Cleophas. Mary of Cleophas is therefore revealed as the mother of two of Jesus's so-called "brothers", James and Joses.
@rtarasiak by the way pastor Jesus has no half Brothers either While James and Joses are mentioned as Jesus's brothers in Matthew 13:55, it is made clear in Mathew 27:56 and Mark 15:40 that their mother was another Mary.
@rtarasiak Better start reading your Bible you contradicted scripture again with the half Brother of Jesus their Pastor Numbskull gee tell me Pastor what are we judged on in scripture and What does Paul tell us is Greater Faith or Charity (Works) By the way one must get Baptized two their Pastor numbskull
@Christianunity1 Scripture will NOT contradict scripture! For the RCC interpretation it would contradict Christ and Apostle Paul. Just as the body does not have the spirit and is dead, as you quoted above is right! One who is dead spiritually, is not born-again (NOT a baby baptism, this does not qualify to be born again). Thus ones work cannot qualify for salvation. ONLY His work is sufficient enough! We are ALL sinners and all fall short! Jesus finished the work of His Father once and for all!
@Christianunity1 Again the enabling power of the Holy Spirit enables works of faith! Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith! If you think you can outdo Jesus or trump His sacrifice for all sins, go ahead? I will ONLY believe by faith in His work and that it is finished! No need of indulgences, rosaries, praying to dead saints, masses, purgatory, etc.. ALL Not in the Bible, Gods Holy Word. I report YOU decide? Please accept His free gift today? Don't trust man, trust the Word alone!
@rtarasiak gee seems you tried to out do him self appointed holy man of god as you described yourself gee and you complain when the Pope is called Holy Father. Gee where does it say only believe by faith their pastor so much for Christs miracles works.. Gee and all this time I thought Christ promised eternal life so much for that according to you the saints are dead..no need to pray (rosaries) tell me is everything Jesus said in the Bible..yea trust you a man past6or hardly
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
@Stairc how is this being a fundamentalist? fundamentalist is those think ''blowing up'' things is acceptable. i just made a valid point which is ''u need islam for better life'' and every revert says that. u still demanding proof just check out new muslims. love if are truly a muslim and peace if u ian;t.
@alex119251 Hi there, Islam is not the way to the Lord God. The Qur'an was and is man-made for man. How is Islam the way to the Lord God ??? Does hedonism bring you closer to the Lord God in Heaven ???
@dorsi68 well, what God are you talking about? there is just one God. He neither begets nor was born and there is non equivalent to Him. Say, "Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names." And say, "Praise to Allah , who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification." This is True god u talking about and Jesus never said i'm god.
@alex119251 Hi friend, what do you mean that the ord Jesus never said he was God Almighty ??? Are you saying that the Lord Jesus never accepted worship ??? That the Lord Jesus did not state he is I AM and existed before the world existed ??? In addition to this, have you fully read The Bible ??? The disciples and people who knew Jesus knew he was the Lord God, so I do not understand your point at all ??? Kindly explain.
@alex119251 Yes, the Lord Jesus did accept worship and did say he was the Lord God Almighty in the Bible. In addition to this, the disciples, St. Paul and early church fathers stated that the Lord Jesus was God Almighty. The Lord Jesus did not say word for word what you said (ie. "I am almightyGod, so worship me" in those exact words, but did say he was the Lord God Almighty and did accept worship. Kindly advise if you read The Bible from start to finsh and if so, how many times ???
@alex119251 Islam is easily refuted , I'll debate it with you if you want , because Islam is the most vile , horrible and evil of the three abrahamic religions and it promotes racism , prejudice and countless other things. I don't see any suicide bombers leading people to better lives.
@DodaGaming@dorsi68 Some one like you? well, 1st you don't deserve to be answered for generalizing (small amount of peope) for 1.6-1.8 billion Muslims every where on earth including the Antarctica. but i'll be good 2 u. u said Islam ''promotes racism, prejudice'' u r ignorant and need to watch '' there is no racism in islam. if Islam did not exist God would've left no one on Earth cos 4 thier evil sins. and U still do. throw the pride and humbleyourself to ur creator and choose Islam as faith.
@alex119251 Hi again I really do not understand your point. Most Muslim people are good people, where did I generalize ??? Your amking things up as you can go to my point in which i clearly stated that the Qur'an is not the word of God and does not treat equality amoung men and women. Most Mulsim countries suppress the people, thus u see an uprising and a good number of Muslim countries suppress other religions. Are you denying these points ???
@alex119251 You really need to answer what I asked you in regards to how does hedonism in Heaven bring u closer to the Lord God ??? Or do you not beleive that a man can have multiple wives in Heaven ??? Muhammad was a genuine man, but corrupt with power. I hope you know the Islam history that Muhammad hat anywehere from 13 to 20 wives at one point and contridicted many of his man made teachings.
@rangelso MONEY is the idol of the nations. That is so simple my friend, your pastor blind you from the truth. As Satan remove his existence from the mind of every humans and God revealing them from every victim of exorcism. IDOL OF THE NATION IS MONEY. DO NOT POINT IN CATHOLICISM, because we don't pray for the saints but we ask the saints to pray for us. We also do not communicate from the dead because we never use OUIJA BOARD but we pray for the salvation of every spirit from purgatory.
Veronica wiped the face of Jesus and the image of Jesus' face was imprinted on the cloth. Jesus rose from the dead and the image of His whole body was singed onto His burial shroud. On the Ark of Covenant were the statues of two angels. Moses had the image of a snake coiled round his staff to heal the plague his people were suffering from. If Protestants are so sure of what the second commandment means, then they should destroy all the crosses wooden, marble gold or silver. Those are images.
Faith is a gift from God. Jesus: " It is I who choose you not you who choose me". "My sheep hear my voice". On our part we have to ask and we shall receive. We have to seek and we will find. We have to knock and it will be open onto us. We do the asking, seeking and knocking and God will do the giving. How wonderful. This is what we see happens to Anna in the video. Dear brothers and sisters, swallow your pride, pluck up your courage and do like our dear sister, Anna. God bless you all readers.
I find catholic liturgy very little consistent with the Bible - I was born in catholic country, grew up in catholic religion, not even reading Bible for 19 years, my lifestyle having little to do with the Gospel and it wasn't until I make my personal decision for Christ that my life actually started to change. However I won't say you cannot know God as catholic although I don't see how is the sains or Mary worship bringing you closer to God if you can do it directly through Christ with Bible
@rangelso I also was born and grew up in catholic family . But my parents and specially my grand father taught me to read the Bible everyday . By God's grace my family was and is devoted catholics. Me and my siblings grew in faith in God . Today I teach my children to read the gospel and explain the meaning to them . And we do not worship Mary or saints . You cant blame the church for the poor knowledge
@Christianunity1 Most of priests I met neither incourage nor discourage to do so and most people do not know wheter they should pray to statues and wear crosses or not so they mostly practice what others do so how can you blame people for poor knowledge if they're not tought the full truth by the priests ?
@rangelso Praying to the statues is not allowed and it is not teaching of the Catholic Church. But to ask the saints to pray for us is the teaching of the Catholic Church. The reason why the priest encourage or discourage because the priest wants you to seek answer why we Catholics ask the saints to pray for us. Why do we need to ask the Blessed Mother Mary to pray for us? Also the reason why priest never give full knowledge because the priest wants you to join all the activity inside the Church
@3DIFIER unfortunately I think that the real reason for disinformation is that catholic church simply wants to embrace as many member as possible to remain its "dominant" position in nowadays christianity so they tolerate anyone from near-pagan idolotrous practices of adoration to a near-evangelical type of doctrin typical for full-gospel protestant churches. If they'd started preaching the full truth they'd immediately lost 90% of church goers - that's what they're most afraid of
@rangelso LOLS. Please don't make me laugh. IDOLATRY, rubbing is an act of worship. You rub your skin, are you telling me that you worship your self? You kiss your skin or some one, do you worship the person you kiss? Giving flower is an act of worship, did you worship the person you gave flowers? You don't understand idolatry. If you saw two Japanesse bow to each other, does 2 japs worship to each other? If you kneel in front of Bible, do you worship the BIBLE?
@3DIFIER i am not going to enter religious debate with you - it's as simple as this - is Christianity about getting to know Christ personally or is it about nice religious rituals, colourful liturgies, statues, kissing holy images etc ?. I don't care about real meaning behind those motions - God explicitly forbids in the very FIRST of HIS commandments: You shall not form any carved images and you shall not bow before them.... Will you murder someone and say afterwards you didn't really mean it ?
@rangelso God never forbids those statue because we do that as a remembrance of the living saints. MONEY has carved images don't you think about it? If you said MONEY is not the root of evil but MONEY is the source evil. Most of the people killed each other because of MONEY. If you have no MONEY you have NO HONEY. If you have NO MONEY you have NO FRIENDS. US, UK AND FRANCE invades AFGAN, IRAQ, LIBYA for NATURAL RESOURCES for MONEY. Why Judas betray the Lord Jesus Christ? Because of MONEY.
@rangelso --Unfortunately, your kind are far too prevelant in our church, and by "your kind" I mean nominal catholics, who have no real dedication, no zeal for souls, no knowledge of the faith, no hope, no nothing, until you watch some fundamentalist on TV tell you that you need "no sacraments, no priest, no church, no nothing", and you were duped and Satan plain and simple. Maybe you'll be back in 20 yrs and be on "The Journey Home" on EWTN !!!
I'm in RCIA at the moment. I will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation on the Easter Vigil. I have read the Catechism.... People that attack the Catholic faith really have no clue as to why/what Catholics do and believe... Reading the comments below confirms my last statement. People have no clue..
@Archangel866 They don't know a thing about our Church.. Of course they will not debate. One only enters into a debate if they have first hand knowledge on the topic... Now I wouldn't say that fellow believers in Jesus Christ are our enemies, as you put it. I would simply say they are misinformed. Protestants not only disagree with the Catholic Church, they can't even agree with each other! There are thousands of Protestant denominations. There is one Catholic Church.
30 years ago I had a desire to become a Christian. As a child, I had gone to several churches of different denominations with my friends, but never felt drawn to any of them.
When I became an adult, the desire was still there to become a Christian, but instinctively I knew that God intended Christians to be united in one church. I prayed for God to direct me to his one true church. The first time I walked into a Catholic church, I knew I was home.
@bella50008 ..Yes I did and continue to be a Catholic. One of the ways I serve God is by teaching preschool for some wonderful Catholic children at my parish.
@RepentCatholics --And what does Roman Catholicism "really" teach, and can you back it up with sources? For example, if you say "The RCC teaches that Mary is the 4th person of the Trinity" you must find an authoritative source to back it up. I look forward to debating you. Pax.
@RepentCatholics If Jack Chick loved Catholics then he wouldn't misrepresent them to the point of lying. Not only Catholics understand how badly Jack Chick misrepresents Catholicism, but Protestants as well. There was a Protestant magazine that wrote an article about him, and they found his information to be far from the truth as well. It seems as though the only way people could believe such things is if they blindly trust Jack Chick and his lot... not a good idea if you ask me. God bless.
@cburton103 --Isnt it a total shame that some people learn about God and Jesus through Jack Chick instead of Thomas Aquinas or John Damascene? A total SHAME.
@PublicChristianity99 It is indeed a shame. Unfortunately, some people have never thought about the many millions of Christians that lived before the Reformation. I remember a clip in which John MacArthur was asked who his heros were, and was astounded when he didn't even attempt to claim any pre-Reformation heros out of his list of ten or so men. It seems obvious on this side of the Tiber that to ignore your roots is to miss a lot of the truth that God desires to share with us. God bless.
Well done! The Saints in Heaven rejoice that one more is added unto their number. Stay strong in the Faith and don't let Protestant Devils deceive you!
So she admits she was lost and empty, vunarable and whated to join a cult where she felt a part. So it was a matter of deciding to believe in one cult over another. Really sad.
Archbishop Vincent Nichols, the head of the Catholic church in England and Wales, has said websites creating virtual friendships such as Facebook and MySpace are leading to suicides, and we'd all be better off having the same imaginary one as him, instead. Did he realise what he said.
Wait wait you said you thought they worship statues, Are you serious? Have you never seen pictures of your leader bowing before statues??? Please somebody tell me it is a joke right?
@codegoddard Exactly: it is mankind that has created the notions of good and evil. And over time has modified them in the light of reason. This is why cruelty to animals(for example)once a common thing is now regarded with horror by almost every one and is illegal in most countries.- No one could suggest that this developing morality had anything to do with religion, or the church. From there its just a jump to slavery--something the church was happy with for almost 2000 years . See?
@codegoddard Are you saying an atheist needs to produce "good evidence" for not believing in God? Atheism is by definition nothing more than an absence of belief. I might turn your remark on its head and say that "unless there is good evidence for the existence of god then a belief in god is very inconsistent and not convincing"?
Millions of children will die of starvation caused by drought, flood etc in 2011 .If your god exists he either cant do anything about it or just doesnt care.
@CobinRain God wants to help but he also wants us to step in and do something. they are our bothers and sisters dieing we need to help them that is what God wants.
@4455315 Your religion is based on the belief in the existence of an all-powerful God who is everywhere at all times & is the creator of the universe, the earth and all the creatures in it, a God who knows your innermost thoughts and monitors them, at all times.
UNICEF anticipates10 million children will die this year from famine and diseases that come in its wake. They die in squalor and terror often despite prayers for help. Therefore your god either can do nothing or does not care to.
@CobinRain It is estimated to provide basic food, nutrition, clean water and medical care for everyone, it would cost about 21 billion dollars. That's the same America spends each year on ice cream. I don't see why youre on youtube blaming a god you dont believe in for not helping when you (and everybody) has the power to stop it. And no, I'm not even a Theist. But my point is your arguments are just as BS as his.
@106141214 How can you say my "arguments" are BS? You havent understood what I was saying. This whole discussion has been about the existence of God, reasons for believing or not believing. The preventable deaths of 10 million children a year, I was saying, is another piece of evidence that the belief in an all powerful, all caring and loving god must be mistaken. If all powerful why doesnt he stop it? Either he cant or he wont. My point was about not believing a myth, not how to feed children
@106141214 Oh and I would love to meet the optimist who you say "estimated" 21 billion dollars would provide food water and health care for "everyone".
@codegoddard Atheism is NOT a religion. Atheism is simply lack of belief in a god. The lack of belief is based on lack of convincing evidence. And I am sure that you too are an Atheist when it comes to every single other religion in the world except your own. And the reason why(I am sure you would say)that you do not believe in Valhalla and the eternal cycles of ragnorok is "lack of evidence". I am just atheist for one more religion: that old jewish book is inconsistent and fails to convince me
@codegoddard I am sure you are rational about most things. I am equally sure that within the self-evidencing structure of religious belief you might be seen as rational by others in there with you. But I suspect you are not capable of applying reason to your faith. I think this is because it was not acquired by you intellectually. It is emotional and deep.
Religion is still absurd but you cant get to the place where you might see that. I hope you get better. Life without god is liberating
@codegoddard No, no scientist "believes" that the universe came into existence by chance. Scientists dont know how the universe came into existence. But in searching for theories, for evidence, rational men and women have long since given up on the " Sky God Did it as attested in old Jewish books" explanation because it is frankly not an answer.
Is your God then all-knowing and all powerful, do you think? Creator of universes? And interested in what you get up to bed?
The Catholic faith is a gift to all believers & a thing of great spiritual beauty. I thank God every day for being a Catholic- it has enhanced my life to an incalculable degree.
My own dear, late father was a Priest, & my sister & I still own some of the beautiful vestments he wore over the years. Also, we have VOLUMES of letters from parishioners- ALL speak of his kindness & care for those in need.
I have respect for other faiths, but can’t believe they offer what the ONE TRUE FAITH gives.
@SuperTruth77 Are you trying to suggest that MY GOD, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is not the ONE TRUE FAITH? I have respect for your catholic thing and all, but seriously, you should switch. "Fuck your faith" (that's one of the divinely inspired quotes that we Spaghettites know is the word of the One True God). We have felt his presence. We know it is true and we know that you are wrong. Now tell me seriously, you idiot, do you have ANY more to go on than I do?
@codegoddard Ah! what do I THINK? A good question.
I think all religions have their origins as speculations made up by men to "explain" the big questions of life in the absence of science and general knowledge of the world.. And so religions are a reflection of what WE are. Good bits and scary bits alike. It is the same relationship as magic has with technology: todays technology--all of it--would be considered "magical" before scientific awareness caught up with it. Like "miracle" drugs?
@codegoddard There certainly isnt "more evidence for Jesus". How absurd. And 95% of what there is that is anything like contemporary comes from Christian sources and edited copies. I really hope you dont think that "Matthew Mark Luke and John" the gospel writers were the actual disciples of Jesus do you? Textually even the earliest is early 2nd century. Oh I.m sure there was a Jesus--an up-country radical rabbi and faith healer. But Son of God? Virgin Mother? Do YOU believe that?
Amen to you my sister in Christ. You inspire me to grow more closer to God through His Son!

In the New King James version of the Bible it clearly states: Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Pretty clear here, you don't offer up to God money or your good works for the GIFT of his Son ! Among others, Catholics don't even know that this simple scripture exists in the Bible. So sad...

Why do people need intermediates to pray to God what is even the point to it?
hansikelo 3 weeks ago

Most of them can't even make the difference. no offence
hansikelo 3 weeks ago
@hansikelo do you know exactly (in detail) what their prayers are, and the full context of their prayers? anyway, we pray to the saints because we believe they are with god; so whatever the prayers are we actually indirectly pray to god, and god knows all our prayers doesn't he? and he knows the reason we pray to the saints is because we know they are his best friends who are always with him...so praying to the saints actually we glorify god IN them.
For3nity 3 weeks ago
@hansikelo , The word "pray" comes from the Latin word precari, which simply means to entreat or ask .Look up the word "pray" in the dictionary.(1) To utter petition to God ... (2) To make a fervent request: PLEAD (3) To beseech: implore (4) to make a devout or earnest request for ( Webster's)
Christianunity1 3 weeks ago
@hansikelo • When Catholics pray to God they "utter a petition to God." When they pray to the Saints they are making a "devout or earnest request for" prayers from Mary or the saints.
Christianunity1 3 weeks ago
@hansikelo the Bible mentions, believers asking saints in heaven for their prayers. (one example from the Bible ) Please read (1 Sam. 28:7-20). Saul attempt to speak with the prophet, Samuel, through the medium of Endor .It would have been perfectly fine for Saul to have prayed to Samuel, asking Samuel for his intercession, but instead Saul had a forbidden medium "conjure" Samuel.

@For3nity: You say, "why we need intermediates to pray for god? it's because we are members of the big family of god."
The Bible says (1 Timothy 2:5), "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"
embalyst 1 week ago
@embalyst --All believers have a share in the mediatorship of Christ, and we are obligated to bring others to Christ.
Archangel866 1 week ago
@embalyst 1Tim 2:5 is to be understood in context as written in Hebrew 9:14-15, where it's only Christ who reconciled us to God, whereas the Saints intermediate us to God in praying for us.
Hebrewb9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, ..... 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
For3nity 1 week ago
@embalyst 'Mediator', from the Greek “mesites” as defined by the bible dictionary, a person midway between two parties who establishes an agreement or relationship between the parties and may act as a guarantor of that relationship .
"Mediation" means a standing in the midst between two (contending) parties, for the purpose of bringing them together.
Christianunity1 1 week ago
@embalyst The 'two parties' in this case, are of course, GOD, and mankind. Jesus Christ is this “only one mediator by suffering and dying for us”in 1Tim 2:5 .
” For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. “(1 Tim 2:5-6)
Christianunity1 1 week ago
@embalyst The english word “Intercessor” from the Greek word "entunchano ", as defined ,'One who entreaties in favor of another, especially one who prays or petitions to GOD in behalf of another'.
Christianunity1 1 week ago

SpanishDomodeath 3 days ago
@SpanishDomodeath
God Bless

BetsyJo444 1 month ago
@BetsyJo444 Thats false ! where do You think the Bible comes from anyways?
TobyOMontoya007 1 month ago
@BetsyJo444 Firstly betsy please lose the tired bingo stereotype. Next you need some theological training. Read the works of the church fathers before you criticize our faith. The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. We are neither ignorant nor deceived. But we are proud of our faith. As far as the rosary goes you should read the works of St.Irenaean, a student of Polycarp who was a student of John the Apostle. And again I am not telling you to be Catholic.

@uhcocoog The Jack Chick comic books you read contradict scripture.
thegorn68 1 month ago
@thegorn68 I know what chick comics are, but that's not where I'm getting my info. The magesterium doesn't take the scripture for face value because they believe they have the only valid interpretation. Scripture is equal to tradition for them, and the bible is not the ultimate authority. Instead, they have made themselves the authority. Jesus commented that this is a dangerous thing to do since tradition handed down by the religious can nullify the word of God, Mark 7:13

And, remember, you can't understand the Bible, so don't read it or you'll end up like those naughty protestants. Now do 20 hail Marys so God will love you.

AL33355 1 month ago
@AL33355 --Papal infallibility is based on Matthew 16. The pope is "imovable" in doctrine and moral teaching because truth never changes. Many churches have changed doctrines and moral teaching for the worse, but not the roman rite catholic church.
WayOfTheMaster454 1 month ago
[B] To this day no one has been able to put their finger on ONE OFFICIAL doctrine any pope spoke "infallibly" except the SINLESS BIRTH OF MARY (the Immaculate conception, making her equal with Christ) and her RAPTURE UP TO HEAVEN (the divine assumption making her equal with Christ). And neither of these blasphemous heresies are taught in the Bible or even hinted at.
AL33355 1 month ago
In chapter 7 of Hebrews, it is explained why Old Testament Jewish priests had to offer sacrifices daily. But, because of Christ's ONE TIME sacrifice, the New Testament church has no need for priests--male/female, gay/pedophile, or otherwise. He only had to die ONCE, not continually and everyday in the fictional and blasphemous mass. Many priests in training leave the Catholic church upon realizing this.

Mary of Cleophas is therefore revealed as the mother of two of Jesus's so-called "brothers", James and Joses.
martlut 1 month ago
@rtarasiak by the way pastor Jesus has no half Brothers either While James and Joses are mentioned as Jesus's brothers in Matthew 13:55, it is made clear in Mathew 27:56 and Mark 15:40 that their mother was another Mary.

martlut 1 month ago
@Christianunity1 Scripture will NOT contradict scripture! For the RCC interpretation it would contradict Christ and Apostle Paul. Just as the body does not have the spirit and is dead, as you quoted above is right! One who is dead spiritually, is not born-again (NOT a baby baptism, this does not qualify to be born again). Thus ones work cannot qualify for salvation. ONLY His work is sufficient enough! We are ALL sinners and all fall short! Jesus finished the work of His Father once and for all!
rtarasiak 1 month ago
@Christianunity1 Again the enabling power of the Holy Spirit enables works of faith! Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith! If you think you can outdo Jesus or trump His sacrifice for all sins, go ahead? I will ONLY believe by faith in His work and that it is finished! No need of indulgences, rosaries, praying to dead saints, masses, purgatory, etc.. ALL Not in the Bible, Gods Holy Word. I report YOU decide? Please accept His free gift today?

You cant blame the church for the poor knowledge

@Christianunity1 Most of priests I met neither incourage nor discourage to do so and most people do not know wheter they should pray to statues and wear crosses or not so they mostly practice what others do so how can you blame people for poor knowledge if they're not tought the full truth by the priests ?
rangelso 2 months ago
@rangelso Praying to the statues is not allowed and it is not teaching of the Catholic Church. But to ask the saints to pray for us is the teaching of the Catholic Church. The reason why the priest encourage or discourage because the priest wants you to seek answer why we Catholics ask the saints to pray for us. Why do we need to ask the Blessed Mother Mary to pray for us? Also the reason why priest never give full knowledge because the priest wants you to join all the activity inside the Church
3DIFIER 2 months ago
@3DIFIER unfortunately I think that the real reason for disinformation is that catholic church simply wants to embrace as many member as possible to remain its "dominant" position in nowadays christianity so they tolerate anyone from near-pagan idolotrous practices of adoration to a near-evangelical type of doctrin typical for full-gospel protestant churches. If they'd started preaching the full truth they'd immediately lost 90% of church goers - that's what they're most afraid of

If you saw two Japanesse bow to each other, does 2 japs worship to each other? If you kneel in front of Bible, do you worship the BIBLE?
3DIFIER 2 months ago
@3DIFIER i am not going to enter religious debate with you - it's as simple as this - is Christianity about getting to know Christ personally or is it about nice religious rituals, colourful liturgies, statues, kissing holy images etc ?. I don't care about real meaning behind those motions - God explicitly forbids in the very FIRST of HIS commandments: You shall not form any carved images and you shall not bow before them.... Will you murder someone and say afterwards you didn't really mean it ?
rangelso 2 months ago
@rangelso God never forbids those statue because we do that as a remembrance of the living saints. MONEY has carved images don't you think about it? If you said MONEY is not the root of evil but MONEY is the source evil. Most of the people killed each other because of MONEY. If you have no MONEY you have NO HONEY. See?
CobinRain 3 months ago

That's $3 per person.

@SuperTruth77 --Make a request to the Vatican for an investigation into his life so he may be cannonized; that would be neat : )
