keep your foot locked down so your toes are facing the ground, make sure when you swing your leg through, you go THROUGH the ball, and not through it like you would be kicking a field goal...also, this is helped by keeping your head and weight down and forward over the ball

yankeepimp93- foot pointing straight or out depends on what you want to achieve and your position in front of the ball. if you about two yards to the side, your foot should point out; if you are about half to one yard, you can shoot it straight.

if you all notice, at the end of the video, he shoots the ball well but lands on his stand foot. if we want power, we must land on our shooting foot.
