i read somewhere that Inara was terminally ill and had the series continued would eventually be killed off. Now, is it me or were they planning to have Saffron continue to cross paths with the Serenity crew until she eventually warmed up to them and became this sort of unofficial crew member, taking shelter every now and then and replacing Inara as Mal's love interest? because let's face it, Mal has great chemistry with Saffron, more so than Inara IMO

@TacticusPrime that's what drives me crazy. There was soooo much in this show that could have been fleshed out really well, and you can tell they had every intention of doing so. I absolutely hate that it got cancelled. Still, I'm glad that they didn't rush resolutions like that in the movie just to tie up plots but it drives me crazy all the same
