I had to read the other posts to understand what this video was about, it certainly was not Aikido? the master was supposed to ward off the fighter without a punch? The old man was obviously a fraud or mentally ill, so why hurt him or inflict damage? seems to be more ego than anything else. Also, he would close his school if he was defeated. Because of the reputation of the school, it did not have any challengers for a long time. An MMA school took the challenge, and beat him. The only human acting poorly is you for your negative inference and not knowing what went on, purely based on viewing a video.

Ok, can anyone explain this to me. I've read he claimed to have won 200 ValeTudo fights, which must be a scam, but then he actually accepts a fight with people looking on. Actually the old guy was doing quite well in his business until he started believing his own bullshit. This is the reason you will almost never see any Aikido, Hapkido, Systema, Ninjitsu master accepting an open challenge; they need to protect the credibility. They try to capitalize on people's insecurity and lack of self-esteem to form their group of clients. In return of your time/money you get some sense of accomplishment, self-worth and belonging...at the cost of real life experience.
I can assur you that 90% of Aikido guys would go down just the same. This guy was a fraud all around. Master Kiai. He should be in jail for brainwashing his students. But most Aikidoka can't take a punch, a set up punch or kicks. They also practice in a vacuume running around with open palms after one another. The toughest Aikidoka I ever saw had boxing, judo, and karate experience. So in a fight, they would fight. Otherwise, its all BS

柳龍拳のホームページで盛んに私「岩倉豪」への再戦を言ってきているが、柳龍拳からの直接の電話や連絡は無い。一度迷惑だから警察に相談するのを前提に話を伺いたいと電話を入れたが、会話にならなく再戦したいの一点張り、だったらアマチュアの試合から実績を積んでからブラジリアン柔術で勝負しましょうと言ってが、何を考えているのか聞いていただけませんでした。RISINGONの田邊代表から安全なルールで戦うなら場所を提供すると申し入れがあり、柳龍拳にも同様な話を連絡したと伺ったが、それっきり柳龍拳から連絡はありませんでした。北海道の「きたえ～る」に電話して大東流の柳龍拳がホームページに「きたえ～る」で対戦したいとありましたが？ と質問の電話をかけてみましたが大東流との対戦の「きたえ～る」んも使用許可は出しません・・と言われました。あのRISINGONでやらないなら柳龍拳と生涯戦う事は無いでしょう。

Actually the old guy was doing quite well in his business until he started believing his own bullshit. This is the reason you will almost never see any Aikido, Hapkido, Systema, Ninjitsu master accepting an open challenge; they need to protect the credibility. They try to capitalize on people's insecurity and lack of self-esteem to form their group of clients. In return of your time/money you get some sense of accomplishment, self-worth and belonging...at the cost of real life experience.

I can assur you that 90% of Aikido guys would go down just the same. This guy was a fraud all around. Master Kiai. He should be in jail for brainwashing his students. But most Aikidoka can't take a punch, a set up punch or kicks. They also practice in a vacuume running around with open palms after one another. The toughest Aikidoka I ever saw had boxing, judo, and karate experience. So in a fight, they would fight. Otherwise, its all BS
