  • brave fighter of palestine hiding like a coward..he looked like abbas serious small grey hair no brain...GO HAMAS

  • ya shabab e7na elly daya3na falastine(the problem is us and we should'nt plame others for that)

  • No Palestinian leader in his right mind will ever accept what Barak offered Arafat, which is a Palestine on essentially 12% of their historical homeland. My question to the Israeli apologists is if this deal Barak offered Arafat was so "generous," why did he insist that Israel be allowed to annex 10% of the West Bank, when the whole world recognizes under international law that the West Bank is occupied territory which does not belong to Israel and which they are mandated to give back?

  • This deal would have been a "state" equivalent to an Indian reservation or the bantustans the apartheid government of South Africa offered to the blacks.

  • You must be very pleased by current Palestinian situation and don't forget to congratualte Arafat for refusing the opportunity of peace.

Lot of good has come out of Palestinian area in last six years, well done ;-)

  • i agree, very true! what kind of state woulld that be , they have no control over their airspace or who enters their country. They only get a flag and a national anthem

what a bad deal! Nobody would ever accept this deal.

  • Here's the "generous" deal Barak offered Arafat:

1.Israel would be allowed to annex up to 10% of the West Bank, which would leave the West Bank carved up into small enclaves due to the fact that the Jewish settlements would have Jewish only roads protected by the Israeli army

    2. No right of return for Palestinian refugees

    3. No control over their own borders, airspace, or seaports

Would anyone accept a "state" like that?

  • Even if this was the Barak offer and was unacceptable to Arafat then why did not Arafat come up with counter proposal?

The reason Arafat did not come up with any counter-proposal was that he feared Barak might accept that, and then he would have to stop terrorism and give up on his wet-dream of destroying Israel. Arafat never intended to end this conflict, he used to speak "peace" in English and "jihad" in Arabic. Arafat was the worst leader any people could have.

  • well vksharma20 has no idea what he is talking baout because israel works with hidden hands so i wouldnt open your mouth and talk rubbish. People are allowed to defend themseleves, hamas use small rockets & you are complaining we are terrorists when IDF built a wall round gaza using tanks and jets. Both parties to blame..u just kick out democratic party chosen and put one you wanted....please get serious...

  • Well I just have to look at Hamas manifesto to see how peaceful and democratic they are and I am sure the recent "peaceful and democratic" transfer of power has proved their commitment to democratic values :-)

Aren't you happy for Palestinian people, the will of people prevailed. Their government delivered what they promised and what Palestinians asked for.

  • hey my brown friend...ONE WORD: DAHLAN..so silencio!

  • I'm too busy watching a great documentary about Palestinians killing Palestinians. Its name is: Planet of the Palestinians. I can't wait for the next murdering episodes. I just nuked some popcorn and got my large coke. Oh how exciting! Man did you see that guy being thrown off that roof. Handcuffed and all, awesome, and those kinder kids running from the cross fire, what drama. I hope they have a cease fire soon, all that coke, I have to go to pee and I don't won't to miss any of the action.

  • Think for a second about your stance on globalism (it's probably pretty simple minded, I'd guess you'd try to cite laissez-faire or something but then you would be both stupid and wrong).

Maybe you should read more, guy. It's common knowledge that western intervention is one of the biggest factors in what the CIA calls "blow back".

  • How can a "victim mentality" take hold of an entire region? I think its obvious that you are over simplifying and it's making you look shallow and callous. People do things for a reason. It's not like they woke up one day and decided "lets make it our life goal to kill innocents." No, thats more like American politicians supporting a war because of a political agenda as opposed to a social one.

  • Palestinians killing each other. Sunnis killing Shia. Lebanese killing Lebanese. AIPAC ruling Washington DC. Zionists happy.

  • Palestinians killing each other on roads, in hospitals, in mosques, throwing each other from buildings and this is the fault of Israel, US and EU. Wow what a great analysis, could Palestinians suffer more with victim mentality?

  • This is a result of the divide-and-conquer policy of the Israelis and of the utter failure of the concept of Arab nationalism.

  • Muslims kill Muslims and as usual you want to blame Israel.

  • The second part of my comment did blame the Arabs, but Israel is the entity forcing people to live under martial law for 40 years.

  • No, the blame goes to the arab leaders. They could of made peace in '67 but said no to peace, negotiations and recognition. Barak offered Arafat almost everything he wanted but Arafat turned him down without even a counteroffer. Put the blame where the blame goes, on the Arab leaders!!!

  • Barak offered Arafat almost everything

Arafat turned him down without even a counteroffer

Wrong. Wrong. Get out of the Dennis Ross paradigm. He's been debunked, incl by Israeli authors, and incl by Clinton. Arafat was manuvered into a corner. Ari Ben Menashe, fmr Mossad, wrote about Isr secretly USING Palestinians for covert ops, hit teams.

  • Anyone who believes what Ari Ben Menashe says is a fool. Time magazine has caled him a spinner of tangled yarns. He was nothing but a low level translator for the Israeli govt. I will believe Ross, Clinton and Prince Bandar before I believe Ben Menashe. All three of the former said Arafat blew it. As a matter of fact Prince Bandar told Arafat if he turned down the deal he would be comitting a crime. Well Arafat comitted the crime.

  • Yeah but it wasn't really offered to Palestinians, it was offered to the Arab neighbors.

  • I don't understand your response. Arafat was the leader of the Palestinians. What do you mean that "it was offered to the Arab neighbors."?

  • You said 1967, what did Israel offer the Palestinians in 1967?

  • You are correct. In '67 peace for land was offerd to Egypt, Jordan and Syria. So we have to go back to '49. When the cease fire was signed with Egypt and Jordan they kept controll of land that was ment for the Southern Syrians a.k.a. the Palestinians. Therefore the original occupiers of the Pals were Jordan and Egypt. Good point on your part. But at Camp David and Taba it was Arafat who turned down the Barak offer and didn't bother to make a counteroffer.

  • Watch "People and Power - Depopulation of Hebron", and tell me who is ethnically cleansing.

  • What was the Palestinian family doing on the beach in Gaza? They were all killed by an Israeli naval shell. Oh yes: "terrorists do what terrorists do, they kill". Watch the video above how Israeli IDF kill a family in Hebron, then tell me who the terrorists are.

  • Israeli did not kill that family celebrating graduation. Pals were firing rockets 100 feet from that family and one rocket went bad and killed the family. As usual, as nice they are, Israeli apologised for the killing. But it was later when they realised that they did not even fire in that direction they retraced that apology. And the world realised that Palestinians were trying to pull another Jenin like propaganda again, Palestinians killed their own then as usual blamed it on Israel.

  • according FOX news, saddam had nukes, bin laden is democrat voter, aliens and UFOs supporting islamist... come on...who are you? an ordinary person who read/watch news... you are not mr. wisdom..so dont post trash

  • What were Palestinians expecting by selecting terrorist for government? Terrorists do, what terrorist do, they kill. Palestinians deserved every bit what they are getting. They have to face the consequences of their decision they took, like any other people in the world.

  • bla bla bla... you never lived as a palestinian..its easy to say: "make this, do this, vote that" sitting in safety, having enough food, dont fearing to lose relatives
