Sergeant, how do you define moving with a purpose? Are you talking running? Running and shooting in a CCW situation can cause collateral damage. Do agree with moving to cover/concealment if you can, then shooting.
Miles training was the most fun I had, but our defence forces doesn't have anything like the simunition guns.
The biggest flaw with the older Miles systems or TASI as we called the lazers were firing some times on their own resulting in many FF kills and once all of my squad died inside an APC because of some fluke.
Also because we mostly fought in forests the lazer would also get hit in the smallest of branches and stops there. That's why simunition would prolly be better. :)
Shouldnt you be fighting with purpose first.... while moving? Whats best for civilians isnt really whats best for the military bud. Thats why there's so much talk about bugging out and caching goods. Since most of us dont "live on base" in Government housing, what you would do on the battle field, away from your house, that wouldnt apply back home for most people. Your pulling yourself back into the military mindset again brother.
@WyomingJoshuaAK47 ...I like how you tried to reload your Glock with an AK47 magazine. That is pure tactical right there. :)
So when are you gonna get some real training? You are making videos now like you are qualified to teach tactics. I like how you read a book, took a class, and now you are trying to instruct.
I also like how you say you would shoot someone for "running their mouth" outside of your house in a SHTF situation.
@millerusaf Thats what i get for not indexing my gear once i put my belt on then huh Brophy? Maybe you could make a video about that today? Least that would be something the civilian could use.
I've been to class, more then once. Know you AF snobs dont like to here that. Everyone should read, your stupid if you think otherwise. Im not trying to instruct anyone, other then to clue them in that a great deal of your thoughts are wrong and wont work out all that well for them.
@WyomingJoshuaAK47 Which classes have you been to? Why do you hesitate to answer that simple question so much? Show me your credentials and maybe I'll take you more seriously.
@millerusaf If the country collapses, your gonna have to be a predator. Listening to your thoughts, you dont believe that day will ever come. Once again, im not a cop or in active service status. People start getting upset for one reason or another, your gonna have to do something about it, and do it quickly. Get those Alwood books from Amazon that are in that video i made and read them. Pretty sound advice, a threat is a threat, closer to home, tolerance of people needs to drop for safety!
@WyomingJoshuaAK47 ...and when you pop the "loudmouth", his buddies and family proceed to exact their revenge and storm your house killing you and your family.....great plan, hero.
lol...you gotta use your own brain and stop parroting what others think. One day maybe you'll learn that. :)
@millerusaf Exacty!!!! Thats why you pull out his wallet, or look for other clues on his person to find out everything you know about him and then go out there and take care of the problem. Get those Alwood books and read up on what happens. Soon as people find out you have something worth fighting over..... get those books brophy! Good advice in there.
@millerusaf Better alive then dead right? Im not under some rule of warfare NATO treaty am i? Get that book by Fernando, you'll read what life is like during collapse. Its not pretty. I know you dont like to talk about protecting yourself and your family by any means necessary, actually killing the bad guy, and nipping the problem at the bud. It might come to that dude, if your gonna talk to civilians on here about what they need to do.... might want to throw in some blood and gutts a bit.
@millerusaf BUY THOSE ALWOOD BOOKS MILLER! THEY HAVE DONE AND SAW MORE THEN YOU HAVE! Know you and the squad dont like to hear that. Buy that Fernando book also, protecting yourself and your family takes on a new meaning during collapse. Im not talking about running out the front door and down the street killing everyone i hate or dont agree with. Its called running off your gut, discriminating people if they mean me or may family harm. Buy those books, or buy them for your wife, mine likes them
miller the "lazy" side to side movement isnt necessarily wrong, theres a time and place for everything. the reason for the side to side is for very close range, so the bullets have less of a chance fo hitting your most vital organs; because 3" can save your life. but overall you are correct about movement...
@danthman114 I will say that the lawyer wasn't moving lazy at all. He did still get hit, but if he would've moved slowly he would've taken a round in the face pretty quickly.
even while you move need to be in the low ready like miller said move to slow its cause you view of movement it harder and easier with low ready i use it and its better
Good points made, Miller. I like hearing from guys like you who've had the Force-On-Force training and experienced how hard it can be to track a target while getting "off the X". As you always say: you have to PRACTICE! Can't get to Carnegie Hall without it.
<~~~ Currently taking donations: Trijicon ACOG. ;-) LoL!
@bluenuns808 you have to be 21 to buy a pistol, but you can buy a rifle or shotgun at 18 in most states .I think for a new gun owner you should really go to a shop, so you can hold the guns and see which ones you like.
I have done lots of force on force training both with simunitions rounds and redman gear. I agree, its a real eye opener.
It really chaps my ass when I see people teaching martial arts classes or weapons classes and have never been in a real fight or at least some F on F training.
@545Krinkify Oh, that's where you got your PTSD from. Paintball. I have a new found respect for you friend. I thought you got your mental problems from Call of Duty.
So, did you see chocolate goo coming from your buddy on a paintball field?
@ Millerusaf...great video once again. Your videos give us a break from the fantasy "Point and shoot" garbage we often get on some of the other channels. You bring reality and logic, as well as some seemingly simple fundamentals that could easily be overlooked or discarded during a real life confrontation. Please continue to do so. Subscriber for life!
@545Krinkify I wan't really referring to my long range skills. I shoot known distances and I have no illusions of being a sniper. If I can laze it and read the wind then I can probably hit it. But rangefinder batteries die fast and I'm not very good at milling targets for range. The skills I was referring to were more along the lines of camoflauge and concealment. I would avoid a gunfight if I could. I do a lot of predator hunting and you learn to become pretty stealthy.
one other point that must be reiterated: keep your head, think, then move with purpose and with lethal effect..do not lose your shit, panic or get emotional. How to do that? Stress yourself out: deprive yourself of sleep, place yourself in uncomfortable physical environments (cold, wet, hot, etc.), and/or deny yourself food for several days. It is better to do this when you are training and know what you are made of, then Joe Shit the Rag-bag through it and fail miserably when in the shit.
I think I'll continue to lay on my slight beer belly and engage stationary steel targets at known distances. In the event of SHTF I'll fight my way to the nearest liquor store, secure a large amount of Michelob Amber Bock, Budweiser, and Maker's Mark, return home, and get drunk as hell before "they" come for me. LOL
@MrSurgicalPrecision Taking a drink then sending one downrange isn't mixing shooting and drinking......silly. You are still doing each one at a time.
...besides, you can't get a good cheek weld if you are trying to take a swig while attempting to aim down that so-called crap US Optic of yours anyway.
@millerusaf HUSH! Don't say things like that! Some one is bound to post a YT video with them drinking from a can or bottle duct taped to their rifle buttstock as they're shooting.
@MrSurgicalPrecision: well, at least you will die numb and drunk. LOL. And believe me, "they" are going to come hard and strong..."they" are already doing just that and people seem to think "they" are just going to self-correct their abuses and stop oppressing their Constitutional rights. Anyway, hope you do not have far to go to get to your local liquor store.
@SpecialForceOperator Truth be told I usually keep plenty of booze in the fridge so I probably wouldn't even have to leave the house LOL But seriously if it ever comes to that I have some skills that are valuable in that type of situation. I'm no operator, but I could hold my own against probably 90% of the population. The guys that actually train and do drills will have the advantage over me for sure. I just don't really think it's going to come to that in my lifetime.
@MrSurgicalPrecision If I'm walking across a field and I notice empty beer cans, tons of range markers and little flags on sticks in certain areas, I'll know it's your land and I'll get the F*CK OUT!
@MrSurgicalPrecision: I am not much worried about the 90%, it is the fascist gang thugs that come a calling because they say you are a terrorist and represent a threat to them. Just be safe and make them regret ever deciding to fuck with you. Watch your sixes.
