...much more than that, her ex-coach mentioned in a interview something about "throwing her career away".He might be right, i saw an interview with laure yesterday...after the event..and she started crying.....and all that. Meanwhile federica, won a gold medal...broke manaudou's record.....and has it all goin' for herself. They are both very attractive women in my oppinion..so that's the only thing they have in common at this very moment, because laure had it all and "threw it away"......

well...i'm a big sports fan, and i also practice some sports as hobby's(American Football being my favorite)..i alos like swimming, and being from romania i had interest in following the 200m and 400m freestyle finals , since our own Camelia Potec, was directly involved. I also followed laure manaudou as well as federica pellegrini,because i was aware of this soap opera going on. i do think that this whole thing had a disastrous effect on manaudou.....continued

Her french coach (ex-coach) was interviewed recently about this whole fiasco , about her personal life , and her results in Beijing and he said that he wasn't surprised , she spent several months without training and he said that she wasn't mentally strong enough anymore.He was insinuating that she was responsible for throwing her career down the drain.

Well , I can't speak for the rest of europe , but as far as france is concerned , i can assure you that Manaudou is a superstar over here. (same goes for Pellegrini in italy) both aren't just treated like your average swimmers. Maybe it' different in the rest of europe though. Not to mention Manaudou is pretty much as huge as the likes of Kobe Bryant , Federer , Nadal , Phelps (in terms of popularity). The attention she's getting over here is enormous.

But her coach was phillipe luca since she was around 10 years old, she has lived with him for 8 years and he was considered her 2nd dad. It was under him in which she had all her success so excuse me for thinking that you were talking about him when you said Laure Manaudou OLD COACH. Also, in case your unaware, UK is in Europe. Honestly, swimming isnt popular in Europe, the only reason Manaudou is in the media is because of her soap opera story.

1) Federica Pellegrini is'nt trained by Manaudou's old coach phillipe luca, in fact it is the romanian camilla potec (excuse my spellings)

2) Female swimmers in Europe are certainly treated like royalty. Federica Pellegrini atracts media interest just like any other atrractive sport star in the world (similar too amanda beard in USA). I can assure you that female swimmers in Europe live on a shoe string budget. Enjoy the race !
