This is a very good instructor, he fully know what is he doing and he put his knowledge in word. In term of power coming from relaxation, how does it compares with TaiChi ??
@billylai6 That's a good question. The idea in Wing Chun isn't to fight force with force, very similar to Tai Chi. However, Tai Chi relies upon redirection of the physical mass itself, i.e. Cloudy Hands (Tai Chi main block) is used to deflect punches, not necessarily the force of the punch itself. In Wing Chun (the Chu Shong Tin lineage) we deal with the force, rather than the actual attack. We prepare our bodies, using the mind in a certain way that allows our bodies to receive huge pressure.
hahah... there's a lot of stuff on WC out there (as you can see on youtube), but this is truly unique and I haven't seen anyone else (outside this lineage) that understands WC like this.
What lineage of WC did you learn if u don't mind me asking?
nice details in the video ;-)

Simple but not easy. If ratings weren't disabled, I'd rate it a thumbs up.

@anon124 I think it's Ip Man > Tsui Seung Tin > Jim Fung > Tony Psaila.

@sixboltmains then you should probably find another WC school if the one you're going to isn't teaching you these mechanics.
