You are right about how well teh game plays sence i have played it several times, but im just worried is how are they going to fit the imperial guard into this? They rely on large forces and tanks wich in this game ti seems is in short supplies. I may be wrong , but as a imperial guard fan im just worried.

Yeah the Beta is sweet, havent got to play it that much, been at work. Its like CoH on steroids, not as calm. Games for Windows Live fucks up too often, mine is fine, but i was at my friends house and he got fucking dropped. Eldar still are weak. Dunno who said the marines are weak, i've got like 30 wins and like 17-20 were with SMs. Nids arent as lame as i though they would be, but they dont match the fluff nids. Waiting for this and Empire Total War. Hope Microsoft gets their shit together.

Glad that you enjoy the game. I do have some gripes but nothing too major. I would really love an AI overhaul though. I know, I know "get online" but with the GFWL bullshit I'm thinking I'm going to be sticking to offline compstomps and LAN games.

Are you referring to the Relic community forums in this vid? I've been dropping in there quite a lot the past few days giving some feedback and reporting bugs. Overall the game is quite good and with some patching and DLC/Xpacks it'll just get better.

Kinda. Gameplay wise I find them to be a fun race to use. Fluff wise... well not so much. While their squad sizes generally contain more troops than the other races it doesn't exactly feel like you are commanding a large swarm (like you should). I will say this though, the game does generally have the feel of a small scale TT match, even the nids. I do love playing them in DoWII but I'm not sure they are appropriate for the way the game is designed i.e. small squad tactics.Just my opinion though

Haha, yeah, the beta is absolutely awesome. Personally, me nor my friends do have any problems with GFWL, but it's slow as hell... If you just want to invite a friend, pressing the Invite a Friend button doesn't take you to your friendslist... nooo, you have to actually type their name... Oh well, I hope Microsoft actually tries and fixes some stuff... Also, I thought it'd be fun to play against you, but seeing you're pretty high in the rankings... I'll abstain :P I'm not that good XD

WTFL is pretty poor, but it's a lot better then Relics lobby system, Relics lobby system killed every game after Winter Assault (Including CoH'S expansion) because near on 90% of people could not play online.

More people are able to play now then on Relics system, Although that's not really acceptable in today's gaming industry.

At least EA didn't get there grubby mits all over it though, eh.

Aye frickin awesome game but start of open Beta, Live went stupidly wrong, it became worse than normal, half of those that could get on either lagged or got kicked off. I think it could actually be worse than gamespy. AND THATS SAYING SOMETHING.

I've had a few problems with it myself and I too have a pretty high end system. thankfully our games together have been pretty sweet.

Dawn Of War II Beta is awesome, and looks really great. I love playing as Orks. With a deep focus on brutal melee, that has a really nice effect. But yes i agree with you, i think that it will kill the game...the best online gaming program ever is Steam, i wish Windows Live was that simple.

Ah, Games for Winblows Live. I spent several hours on their support forms before I found something that worked. I had to reset my TCP/IP stacks. Still not sure what kind of hell that's going to raise for me. Fucking Micro$oft.

My biggest problem is that my windows live works, and my xbl profile loads up but whenever i try to connect to a game i get a "cannot connect to host ping timeout"

And i get that for EVER game i try to join, ive been reduced to playing nothing but bots. If anyone knows how to fix this, or point me in the right direction please let me know.

sounds like a NAT configuration problem... if your using a router, log into it and be sure to disable its NAT configuration that is sure to be found somwhere in the slew of menus you run into.

I couldn't agree more, Windows Live is the stupiest idea ever, especially for this game.

The Beta is excellent so far, and the tyranids in my opinion aren't nearly as bad as was predicted earlier (myself being a Ravener Player and Collecter IRL). But yea, my friend has constant dropouts for no reason and windows live is obsolete anyway.

Xbox Live accs work, if thje game will recognize you and log you in.

You will be able to go online with DoW2, but if you plan on multitasking with Xbox Live (On the 360 of course!) or talking with friends in a party chat on the 360, you wont be able too, the both wont work together, sadly.

I totally agree, gaymes for windows live is going to ruin at least the multiplayer player portion. The singleplayer is the main focus of this game, so it is still worth the buck for sure. I play Orks also, only played ranked twice, 2-0 for now. Getting new graphics card, better RAM and updates tomorrow so I'll see you then.
