'Jana Gana Mana' is an insult to India. Perhaps people should read up the history of 'Jana Gana Mana'. It was written by Tagore in praise the English monarch George V, the lyrics actually praise him as the overlord of India. Through out the independence movement, the inspiring slogan was 'Vande mataram' not Jana Gana mana, precisely because it was pro British. The INC sang Jana Gana Mana in 1911 (when it was pro British) to swear eternal allegiance to the newly crowned George V.
Vande mataram is the rightful national anthem of India. These were the words that inspired millions of Indians during the independence struggle. It was emotively very powerful and the British went to the extent of even banning it's very utterance. Both Tagore and Nehru were British chamchas, they loved the Aristocratic English way of life, their only grievance was that they were invited to the exclusive club of English gentlemen.
Vande mataram was not supported by Nehru and Tagore as the national anthem for two reasons. It was too 'Hindu' even though many Muslims too sang it. It was too Indian, too traditional and not modern or Europena enough for these two English chamchas. Secondly Auchinleck and Lockhart, who was the Commanders in Chief of Indian armed forces( 1943-1947) suggested to Nehru that Vande mataram with its intense Sanskrit could not be played by British trained military bands !
So we have a crap song that sucks up to the British adopted as our national anthem.Vande mataram just does not get the popular support of the 'educated middle class' today because every semi educated idiot talks about secularism and not hurting Muslim sentiments. man, not all the states were formed when it was written. also, if you know a thing or two about poetry, you would notice the meter the sing is written in. it comprises of 4-5 short words per line. and also "Sindh" moved to Pakistan, but it's stiil in the anthem.

This song is created to wake us up. Its very easy to criticise anyone but to come up with something concrete it needs guts. RGV may not be great like Karan Johar (Most people would rather watch his films) but he has his heart in the right place. He wants us to see the reality. man, not all the states were formed when it was written. also, if you know a thing or two about poetry, you would notice the meter the sing is written in. it comprises of 4-5 short words per line. and also "Sindh" moved to Pakistan, but it's stiil in the anthem.

Obviously if you add a word and change a millisecond worth of a tune it's not theoretically the national anthem, but the point is you are trying to show a modified version of an anthem which is strictly against the law. i think the national anthem isn't being used negatively in RANN. It speaks the truth and ja na ga rann hai isn't an exact copy of the national anthem, it uses part of to show the issues in india. I just hope that RGV puts more of his efforts into filmmaking rather than creating unneccesary controversies with our National Anthem... the Anthem is most beautiful bit of music ... and I don't think RGV has any right to try and get cheap publicity from it !!! Get back to getting your basics right RGV !!!!

This song is created to wake us up. Its very easy to criticise anyone but to come up with something concrete it needs guts. RGV may not be great like Karan Johar (Most people would rather watch his films) but he has his heart in the right place. He wants us to see the reality. It is worth the effort if it inspires some of us to change our hatred towards others.

well you all mindless fu*cks nobody is freaking criticising rgv(whose movies arent that great btw) speaking his mind out. he is free to do what he wants to do. but the least that anyone can do is not disrespect our national anthem. i dont think any of you know that amongst our fundamental duties one is to RESPECT the NATIONAL ANTHEM, FLAG and EMBLEM. inspsirational songs can be written without using the anthem!!!
p.s: writing 'out-of-the-box' ten times doesnt make anyone cool!!

I like the song ... its a vangya ...but somehow its the national anthem... i want Ramu to issue an open apology and acknowledgment of his sovreignty to India b4 he uses it and hope its not 4 pubilicty and if yes Ramu pay gud money to ppl who burn ur posters and btw really India TV? kuch to standard rakho sirji we expect more from u... ur our martin Scorcezi

awesome video, though he made a huge mistake by using national anthem, but at the end of the day, he's showin us the reality, what's the use of patriotic feelings, if we are sitting quite at home, and doing nothing for our country, people here are good enough to make comments on national issues and are ready to discuss almost each and everything, but when it comes to actually do something about it, we just run away, remember 26/11, we saw ppl protestin, but durin elections dey dint cast der vote
