@asianRSXdriver91 yes, the 05-06 RSX-S is rated 201hp 140tq. they use to advertise the car uncorrected saying its 210hp. but thats wrong.

anyways, the type-s vs a new Si is a drivers race. should be just about dead even. take that passenger out the RSX-S and make another video.

The gearing is the same. The 02-04 Type-S had higher gearing, 4.34 IIRC, then they changed it to 4.74 in for 05-06 - same as the Si.

It's not JUST about what numbrs come up on the fact sheets... WHP numbers differ for each car... and the Si is known to lose VERY little to the wheels.

Driver error too as mentioned. Is the gearing the same?

yes gearing is the same. I think on top of it, the SI is power shifting, it didnt sound like the RSX is power shifting (keeping gas on pedal while shifting gears)

si is shift at exactly right time, to go from peak hp to peak tq. It's all driver, otherwise RSX should win if same driver was driving either car.

in 1:52 you can see the BIGGEST PROBLEM for the rsx-s... his suspension is soft as hell... the 07 SI still has a pretty stiff suspension compared to the 2 year old type-S... he's losing momentum with a bounce that bad... he would've been a little bit closer if his suspension was better but he still would've lost...

you'd be suprised how much you pull ahead of an equal car as yours if you weight less and or if you shift much faster. This guy shifts pretty fast. So most likely the RSX wasnt as good of a shifter or as quick of a shifter as the Si driver. Nice kill

on average tho Stock Si's do dyno those numbers u mentioned... which is better than stock Type-S's which are AVERAGE around the lower 170's...
