I love Elton, I sang some of his songs in High School. We may not have his talent, but using his music as our roll model says a lot about how much respect we have for him! Isn't mimricky one of the best compliments we can give someone? Rock on, babe!
this is a brutal murder of one of my favourite songs with elton ! SORRY .. your piano isn't bad (most often) .. but your vocals isn't to nice .. sorry ! But everybody have to stand some negative critisism too ! well..
Very nicely done, to say the least. (Also a very nice keyboard... what kind?) Anyway, I've been looking for score to this for a long time. If you used one, what was your source? (I REALLY like the way you play it!)
The vocal processor I have is...uhm, can't remember the name of it right now. But it has footpedals on it that you can hit with your foot. However, I had someone working it sitting in front of me. I only had it a month before I had my concert/recital. When I find the info, I'll send you a message about it.
Very easy... well, not really. It's a vocal processor. I forget the name of it but it's not cheap. Mine cost around $700 and you can do 50 million things with it. THanks for the comment.
hi again, liked your other ej tracks but this one seems to be causing you a few problems, i would imagine it is quite difficult to sing/play the chorus though sounds fine - another one of my favourite ej tracks - tribute to lennon from the wonderful Jump Up album.
Hi Darren - actually the song is very easy to play. Emotion and distraction got to me during this song as everybody was crying and I was on the verge of tears playing it. I guess I'll explain it here. My cousin, Michele, the one in the red shirt, was with this guy John for 10 years. Although Elton wasn't his favorite, he loved this song, both cause of Lennon and it had his name in the song.
John was killed in a horrific accident 4 years ago - and this song has eerily become a tribute to him in the same way. John was a guitarist & the first person to ever ask me to play with him. I figured that I would have eventually played with him on a more professional level. Singing this song was the first time that I was singing it in front of my cousin, Michele and the rest of my family who were all crying. Long explanation, but that's why I fubbed up so much!

This is absolutely beautiful. The 'fubbs' is what makes this so special.

ooh i see! They sound worth having! How do you use them? do you have to get someone offstage to operate it on the words?

nothing wrong with your performance! I was interested in how you got the backing vocals?
