Skid Row's - Subhuman Race showed what posers Skid Row always were. The sloppy lead guitar playing, which was done on purpose in an effort to be trendy, was a disgrace. In 1995, in the wake of the cancer that was Nirvana, it wasn't cool to have talent. So Skid Row tried to pretend like they were talentless....I think I had it on tape and I put the thing in the trash where it belonged. Snake and Scotty Hill can play, I just couldn't listen to their efforts to try and sound like they couldn't.

I don't think the lead guitar playing was sloppy, and I also don't think it was an intention to be so. Probably you can criticize them for this album because it was obvious that they tried to departure from glam and move to alternative. But I personally I like it very much because it's sound it's very angry, and also very raw, only with distorted guitars, bass and drums. It's exactly the kind of album that I want to listen when I'm angry, and for that I give it 10/10.

In the 80's people partied, not as much as in the 70's but the world was lit up. That was the decade of excess. Chicks loved Rock music and whether you played in a band or you were just a fan it got you laid.
