@Xhiizors Yes, set 2 contains 10-18 and set 3 contains 19-25. The last 4 DVDs can be stored in the big box from set 1 :)

And does anyone know where I can find this set cheap? I live in the Netherlands, and of course Europe doesn't get the limited edition :(

I don't want to buy the normal editions, because English sub > Dutch sub and the final R2 DVD isn't released yet in the Netherlands.

Why does it matter if its english? Sure, there are some animes with horrible english voice overs, but i really do think that Code Geass's english dubbing was spot on. Better than I thought it would be. Johnny Yong Bosch nailed Lelouch's voice perfectly, so I really don't see why it matters if it's in english or not.

That is true, but some people still prefer the japanese audio, myself included. If everyone else was as good as JYB and Yuri Lowenthal, Steve Blum and Jamieson Price I'd probably go for it but the female character's voices irk me no end, CC and Kallen especially.

i do agree that kallen is a bit overdone. cc not as much but shes not good enough. JYB is by far my favorite voice actor and i like anything that has him in it, including Devil May Cry 4. so i mean, it might be my bias talking, but i still think that code geass is just fine with the english voices.

Oh I agree, JYB is awesome. At first I thought he was miscast, but when I heard him I thought he was great. I still have a soft spot for the original japanese though.

well a lot of people do. again, i really enjoy anything with him in it, except maybe Power Rangers now. I think the only english one i hated was Naruto. He was annoying in that. I'll have to see what Naruto Shippuden is like when it comes out on Disney Channel. (yeah its true, its coming out on disney channel...)

I like him in anything, the problem is not everyone else is as good, or right for the part =P. Like Haruhi Suzumiya. He's a perfect Koizumi, but I think Crispin Freeman sounds kinda deep voiced for Kyon

its the same thing with stuff like Klonoa. The new voice should have been done by a girl for the english version, not a guy. it sounds both too deep and too gritty.

but for some reason it always seems like JYB is cast perfectly. Just sucks for other VAs who arent.

Heh, truedat. I think it's worse when good VAs are miscast. Like Brad Swaile in Gundam 00. I thought he was great in Death Note, but he's too aggressive for Setsuna I think. But then I think Gundam 00 made a lot of dub mistakes, so I prefer the sub.

psh i dont even watch gundam. i think its overrated. i got bored whenever i tried to watch it. it may have been the voices. who knows now?

well like, miscasts are the same as the disney characters. some work and some just fade into the background cuz they dont make sense.

Well, I only got into gundam 00 and thought it was great. Started Wing and Seed and found both of them thoroughly uninteresting. I hink I liked 00 cos it had some thematic similarities with CG.

well, same creators right? not every storyline is unique. actually, I found out that The World Ends With You has one of the most unique and plot twisting stories ive ever seen. im playing it now and its extremely good. bunch of surprises.

Nice review. I'm really disappointed with the set actually for the DVDs themselves. When I read "Code Geass Part 1 Limited Edition" I assumed it would be the Part 1 DVD in the set (The really nice 2-disc set that has C.C. on the cover) not just the regular Vol.1 and Vol.2. I was going to get this one, but honestly, I would rather spend the $25 less and get Part 1 with the epic C.C. on it over this, the manga is awful and I have the drama CDs downloaded, so there's nothing special I need from it.

I was going to get this mostly for the OST and manga but I heard the manga isn't anything to special and I've seen the episodes that come with the DVDs on Adult Swim. I find the dub pretty good (better except for a few voices imo, some people prefer it as well). It makes more sense for them to speak in English anyway since it is Britannia. Anyway nice review. 5/5
