This is in Bremgarten (AG), Switzerland. The river is called Reuss. Kayakers come here from quite far away, there is a similar wave a few hundered meters further down this river. I have put now a link to an online map in the video description. The wave in the Video is right below the letter "w" of the word "Reussweg" (from where I actually filmed it).

I dont't kayak but I have seen crazier stuff.
I passed through this wave with my canadien canoe... hahaha! the canoe was completely flooded which turned it into a submarine...
