This video is neither comprehensive or instructional. Especially considering the root of all the problems you point out are never addressed- the gymnasts lack of external amplitude. For you simple folk, she doesn't have the power to keep proper shape.
So i started team yesterday and we practiced vaulting a fronthandspring and i got it, except my coach kept telling me to do arm circle then jump into it and i do not get it! Helpp!
@GymnasticsFreakk the step before yer feet are on the spring board is the hrdle, or the jump iguess, and as you take that step, circle your arms . this is important so that when your hands hit the table your in a full handstand position and that your shoulders rebound. good luckk.
I thought this would be dificult, got it 1st try ( not perfect but didn't hessitate, landed on my feet and fell forwrds, i use a brick wall 30cm high and concrete to practise though no better place -.-" ) and was good at it from there on =], just wanna find good materials to practise back handspring on, can't find any were to buy it or any house items, stupid spain -.-". Wish me luck =D, Good luck to all that are trying gymnastics, parkour or free running! =D

That's really easy, and soooo over-complicated. I practice parkour and can do it over an object that is about chest high without springboard (or whatever it's called)
The mats do make it harder, but that is the point! If the gymnast has to land on their feet on top of a mat stack their technique has to be perfect. It is a good progression for handspring front too. Really good video, thanks!
yea, during competition there is only one mat, but what they did here was also a drill many gymnasts use to get a front handspring entry straight salto vault.

It's a crime to be in-depth, then? I wonder how you did the first time you tried it, if it's so "easy".
