@joelfeuk A rare, quality comment on YouTube. Seems SP were terribly misunderstood by many. And yeah, F242 is more about critical thought than support of ideologies I would guess.
The Road to Hell is Paved With Good Intentions...
Another "leader" who thought he had all the answers?
l'origine du nom du groupe reste sujet à discussion comme exemple la résolution 242 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies.L'idée selon laquelle la ligne de démarcation du 4 juin 1967 est la FRONTière légitime d'Israël. FRONT 242
honestly watching the CNN footage of the missile launches with this in the background...watching richard 23 flail around and growl "KADHAFI"...most relevant EBM track in at least 6 months.
@rtmnmk Opening sample is of Louis Farrakhan (Nation Of Islam leader from 1977 to the present) addressing the 1985 "saviours' Day" convention in Chicago on February 24, 1985 and introducing al-Gaddafi who attended via satellite video link:
"We who are opressed love those who fight against oppression and the opressors."
"Brothers and sisters it is with great honour and privilege that I present to you the leader of the Intifada Revolution ... from Libya, our brother Muammar al-Gaddafi!"
Secular dictator to be replaced by dictatorship of the Muslim Brotherhood? Muslim Brotherhood calling for the head of Gadhafi. the irony. the lesser evil?
@skywalker2150 gotta admit that. belgium started that dope! i still remember my ever first LP when i was 12... "This is Electronic Body Music" with Front 242's "Body to Body" on it. Can you image a 12 year old listening to that womans moaning on that track? lol

Loved this song more than 20 years ago, still is very cool today! Seems like yesterday... I was dancing to this music, wearing those big old steel tips Dr Martens, clubbing in NYC...Now i have 2 daughters in college. Time flies and it flew by me. Happy memories...
I think this track sounds a bit more like electro-industrial, its less rythmic and more... frenzied.
I mean I realise earlier EBM was much heavier then what people are used to nowadays (and that includes later F242) but I think since this is less dance orientated then the rest.
I saw them In Lens in 80's at the Sylver club, one sucker throw lacrymogene in the hall, but it was fun anyway.A good band, remember also neon judment era
Its not a movie, it is Kadhafi's voice from the 1970's when Khomeini Ayatollah gained acceptance (and, with this, power...) in Iran
Kadhafi founded the El Fatah movement, to fight against ZIONIST oppressors in Ghaza strip and elsewhere - look at the war crimes what the zionists committed this january, or in the summer of 2006. They did so according the Talmud which states that only the jews are humane, others are animals to serve the jews, and can be slaughtered without mercy
i bought the 00:00:02:42 OFF album (the one with the chick singer) like 10 years ago when I was in junior high and it changed my world. that instrumental track Junkdrome was just something I'd never experienced.
unfortunately I've never gotten into any of their other music/albums... kind of weird. I guess they are a 'live' group, but that one album just seemed like a really trippy concept project that was meant for headphones
The live version is without any doubt in my mind the best tech industrial track ever. I prefered Nitzer ebb, foetus and Puppy at the time but this song has always sent shivers up my spine, nothing is harder or funkier. Hoohaaargh
Me toco la suerte de verlos en el Hard Rock Cafe en GDL Mexico en el 2003, fui acompañado con el amor de mi vida, lo de llamar la atencion fue que los organizadores, en el previo programaron rolas de nitzer ebb

still my favor from the super top boy's of belgium the Nr one group of electro body rock gewoonweg toen nog new wave dit zal dan ook altijd mijn favorit blijven dit nr heeft mij toen der tijd verkocht aan hun helaas word het nooit niet meer gespeeld door hun toch top om het hier te zetten

Reply to the contrary that this would be a “pro Gaddafi-song. (positive/supporting)
This track in NOT A PRO or glorifying Gaddafi track. Equals Non supporting!!!
Front242 general message is non political and the actual message is, WYSIWYG Find out for your self, the “official version” is not always correct.
Front242 where often misunderstood during the 80’s Just like so many others (SkinnyPuppy)
( I did host/arrange live events in Sweden with them both during the 80’s)
242 still rocks!

An EBM band, but not _any_ EBM band. 242 invented the genre and this is an EBM track.

Maybe youre right.
warjunky444 2 years ago
It's very simple. EBM borrowed noise from (early) industrial, repetitiveness from Kraftwerk and mixed it with the pop compositions of synthpop.
It's an EBM song made by the founders of that genre.
And btw, I could easily dance to this! 8)
