it would be nice if you showed a little bit of respect for a very entertaining game at the time.....of course its not awesome when your 40 yrs old and used to xbox 360...but sonic the hedgehog was a HUUGE steping stone in video game history and maybe this was not a classic but it definetly made an impact. hats off 2 you awesome possum :)

Awesome Possum was not a huge step forward. The only that the game had going for it was extremely good voice clarity. Considering that Sonic the Hedgehog was indeed a huge step forward, the large amount of people trying to ape the formula often were way off the mark.

The ultimate question about any game is if the game is fun. Awesome Possum is not fun. I enjoy playing games that came out before I was born and I can tell you that this game, ultimately, is not fun.

@Kikoskia I think that depends Mostly of which people plays it, for example, I think you will laugh at this, but When i was a kid My Mother Bought me this game, I started to played it, and you know I liked it, Still today I like it, Yeah I prefer to Play Sonic the hedgehog games (not recent ones aside from Sonic unleashed Day stages) However sometimes I bot up my Genesis and start to play it.

@TheReid1708 No, not really. Speech in video games was a common thing in the arcades, just Atari was the first to implement it largely into a home console game. Sadly, that was the mindset of the game; Atari foolishly thought that this "revolutionary" talking game is enough to sell, and every other aspect could be done half assed.

And this is where slippery and stiff controls, crap collision detection, piss poor level design and uncreative premises go hand in hand to make this a terrible game.
