1. Nice freaking landing bro! Fly for show, land for dough!
2. I believe the Habu was faster than the radar gun readout. Radar is best from a head on angle. Any deviation from this angle will result in a slower mph reading. From where your guy is standing and where the Habu was traveling wasn't always the optimum relation to each other. So to get those readings at the speeds you did, means that Habu is probably traveling 4-10mph faster than the readout. IMHO :o)
I love the way you hand launch this plane. I've been looking for ways to launch the habu myself. Yours looks easy but awkward and easy all in one. I haven't flown mine yet as its too cold in the midwest now to have any fun!! I think at first I will fly with wheels on to get the feel and get it trimmed just right. Then take them off and let her rip!!
Great Video!!! I just got one , and flew it this past weekend. What a blast. I had to add about 25% expo to my dx7, but it really made a difference. Very different from the T-28. I also have the T-28D Navy scheme, just take your time with the Habu, it is lightening fast, and slightest movement of the stick is a very quick and very resposive on the aircraft, so be ready. Small stick movements make big results!!!
what battery damn thats fast.

Amazing you are getting such speeds with the stock Habu in that colder denser air!
I was flying mine again today, and the coneral consensus is "it hauls".

Yes, it's stock. All I did was move the aileron push rods to the innermost hole for max roll rate. -- Joe

Best Habu vid I've seen yet - but like everyone else I want to know if that's stock :) That looks like a lot more than the HH videos.

Very cool. How tough is that to fly compared to a PZ Trojan? Tks.
