  • Rest In Peace John Glascock.

  • @DoctorWho1983- i left ya a message on the fire at midnight site

  • relax, bro i say that in all kindness, been a fan for over 30 years, so i think i earned the right to have fun, i think Ian would get a kick out of it myself

  • for me, the best album they ever did. every song is epic. thanks ian, you pagan freak

  • @wingman572

Let's get one thing straight,Ian Anderson is NO pagan freak. Ian is a master songwriter/story telller/ musician who illustrates the golden ages of man in its prime. Not the modern day atrocities man has prevailed into. I'm not trying to start shit with ya, but when you mae stupid comments like that, I have to say something

  • The melody almost has a medieval quality to it. I love this song and also feel it's underrated.

  • my dad used to sing this to me as a lullaby (a slower, mellower version of course) just listening to it now is making me cry <3

  • Ah, just too much talent has Ian.

A rare gift indeed does this man possess.

A Tull and Ian Anderson fan I am forever!

  • An unparalleled love song. The nuances, like "a broken gun beneath the bed". Romantic rapture.

  • @42belvedere Agreed. Ian's lyrical skills are unmatched. A few simple phrases paints such a vivid picture. Song after song, album after album - his wit and creativeness are just outstanding.

  • @ralphyboy25 -perfect and agreed, a master musician is Ian!

  • @Tull29 I had the pleasure of meeting Ian at an hour long meet-and-greet event at a local radio station about 11 years ago. A very intelligent, very cordial, and very friendly chap. Definitely, one of life's highlight, to have a few moments with such a gifted artist.

  • @ralphyboy25- to meet a person with that background , talent and longevity is in my mind a very rare thing. More power to you!

  • Best song on the album, I'd say.

  • This track is just swell.

  • Hmmm 0 dislikes.....for obvious reasons

  • i love playing this song on the flute. its such a good song, compared to all the stuff all my friends listen to today. what happened to good music?

  • A Great song. Yes probably could have been an masterpiece if tull had devoted more attention to details and added another para or so. It will take real guts and confidence for any other band to develop on it. Thanks for the post

  • man i LOVE it !!

  • music for grown ups?????

  • well, devil still thar, yet savage beast pacified 'nough by her heavenly presence

  • here is the divine of the devil who is essentially diva as we well know by now

  • Great song! haven't heard Jethro Tull since the 70's! He received a lot of flack for playing a flute in a R&R Band, but I loved it!! Incredible voice...great band! thanks 4 posting this song!!

  • @HigherWaysWoman Didn't know that. But his music is so well acclaimed, at least now. But come to think of it, I don't know any other high profile artists playing flute in rock band.

  • @Vidinotes Genesis?

  • A great song, beautiful melody and a magical arrangement. Thank you Jethro Tull for consistently making good music.

  • This song is contrary to my life style 'cause I am a lazy bum, though I like it much.

  • This is the song for me.

  • Oh my gods...My dad rewrote parts of this and sang it to me as a lulluby when i was a baby...its great to hear the orriginal...

  • i have a dear friend that introduced me to this song. i cried because it was beautful and i was drunk. i cry easily at thing that are beautiful went indulging. but it really is the fact i to wrote love songs. but now not so much. i use to care.

  • I think the band should have payed more attention to this song, it's fantastic but with great potential to be better.

  • is this the same as the one on the christmas album

  • I dont think so
