@JordanSanders1991 true! this is michael's favorite arena because his bulls can get the best homecourt advantage in basketball. it's in the same level as the old fabled boston garden.
the guy before clay was ironically Tommy Edwards and he brought Sirius and that AAANNNNDDDD NOW! line, Clay made it a legendary intro thanks to Edwards..........and now we bought Sirius back
@OReallyYaRly yeah right. jordan came to play for 4 quarters. lebron 3. game winning shot automactically goes to jordan and goes in. 90's bulls in 4 games
i prefer this version over the late 90's version. too many lasers and strobes for my liking. it's nice and simple here. single spotlight and the music, all you need in my opinion
This was back when NBA was my favorite sport, by far. Now I couldn't care less about the NBA, or even my local team (Utah Jazz). It'll never be the same as it was in the early-mid (or even late) 90s.
I think of this intro the same way I thought of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's intro in the WWE - just like when you heard the glass break (for Austin) you knew that things were about to get exciting - when you heard the opening bars of "Sirius," you knew it was time to ROCK THE HOUSE!!
@mtownlobo Hey the Bulls kept getting close but could never win it all until Phil came, the Lakers would get handled by the Jazz and the Spurs until Phil came so he at least helped a little bit!
I dont think people now realize how revolutionary this was for the Bulls to do in the early 90's. I mean now everyone turns out the lights for their starting lineups, but back then this was totally different. I really think that it intimidated teams at first when they started doing this.
I always wanted the #10 like BJ, when I played b-ball in jr high. I am from Iowa and I always thought that it was so cool that there was a player from Iowa that was a starter for the Bulls!!
starberry1984- Are you my lost twin brother? He is my all-time favorite Hawkeye. I'm from Iowa as well, and had #10 in 1987-88 when I was in 8th grade. I remember the Bulls drafting him and knew it was a great thing. Got a Bulls jersey of his from 1995 in mint condition that I have put away for one of my sons when they are older. Great memories!
B.J. Armstrong - I remember reading a story where Armstrong tried to get into Chicago Stadium, but security wouldn't let him in - they wouldn't believe that somebody who looked THAT YOUNG was an NBA player!! Michael Jordan finally had to vouch for B.J., that yes, he WAS a member of the Bulls!
Been to both the UC and the old Stadium....it's not even close. The Stadium was the loudest place I've ever been to. It was even louder for the Blachawks games. The Hawks were great in the early 90's, and the place just went off even at the national anthem.
I don't really care . But actually I think the Seattle stadium was a little louder cause the way it was built. But I've never heard Boston Garden ever in that time. We talking about then or now? So much talk about the Celtics team, which is good this year, BUT NO 98 BULLS! give it up, they lost too many. But yeah the Sonics have a loud stadium. Chicago stadium was louder though, but not the United Center.
noisiest arena in the NBA at that time...it was amazing going to games there...couldnt hear your own thoughts...it was a rock concert/jet plane take off combined level
I think Seattle's Key Arena was noisier. This was back when they actually broadcast the starting lineups on TV -- now they cut them to show more commercials.
This intro makes Bill Cartwright GODLIKE!
