@drummer80005 I think it's Dave Pybus, he was credited for the CD cover design. I'm just assuming, it could him or anybody from darkthrone, quite as well.
I remember when i firstly saw DARKTHRONE´S albums in LP back in ´93-´94 when black metal was underground, fuckin´internet not existed and I was in touch,by letters, with several true bloodbrothers worldwide as Sotiris of septic Flesh(Gre), Tuomas of Parkana Distro(Fin),No Colours Rec(Ger),Blackheim of Katatonia(Swe),Death Scrolls zine(Swe). So, The pagan winter spreads utter disturbing, cold, unlight atmosphere...
@SgtDecoy No I'm a Christian, a lot of people think it's cool to diss Christians because thats what the bands do ! Who's the sheep ? Believe what you want and listen to what you want !
@Melancholymotion It is cool to diss them, Because they diss us and call us Satanists. And then you go off and form Christian black metal bands? Doesn't make sense to me.
@tokorev747777 To be honest I don't care what people believe! I listen to a lot off music with satanic lyrics, not because I agree with it but because simply I like the music, there are a couple of ok Christian bands, for example paramaecium but as long as it sounds good I'm a happy chap.
the egyptians years later domesticated a donkey, their hystory was wiped and robbed by greeks romans and what followed first ones to see womans as equals somthing the heatens hated and still dont do you know the sayng history repeats it self well as long as we know what realy happenned ok enough i love this band and this music
yes the riff at 1;27 gives me goose bumps i see my self swingig a hammer on a batlefield back in time defending the pagan belives the heatens whiped out, butt for you of those who dont know the passage oin the bible about death riding upon babylon was about 70,000 horse back scynthians(todays slovakia ,romania ukraine) riding upon babylon they made cups out of the enemies skulls the greeks were afraid of them the greeks robed all theyr burial chamberssame time they domesticated a horse
i personally think that this song exceeds "a blaze in the northern sky", but they couldn't choose a better name for the album as a whole, it truly was a blaze. and of course, the final choir i love but the whole song is kicking ass... christian ass :)
.Even though people thumbs up the guy who said the early riff started his Black Metal addiction..for me the riff from 4:30 was what stuck in my mind and has done for almost 14 years now!

The end of song is very similar to outro of Bathory's albums, but it's a great song.
