hey up buddy..my arm is very lose on my bigsby..with the looks of it..it looks like i may have to remove the strings correct?,,and is there a special tool that i need to tighten the bolt inside the spring?

Ugh, The one thing I HATE about Bigsbys. They're so frigging weird to restring!

This really helped me a lot! ThankS!;) I switched to 0.11- 0.49 on my Gretsch 5120, and a Grestch Bridge Bar, Cause the stock floating bridge kinda messed up the tuning because the "parts" in it were loose, and moved back and forth when i used the bigsby. The Gretsch bridge bar gave my gear a more glassy tone, and I really LIKE the difference. I am also thinkin of changing the tuners

for "imperial grovers". And of course the Tv jones classics, cause their the closest to Filtertron pickups..

thank you for this video. i just bought a used guitar with a Bigsby yesterday. it was missing a string and i had no idea how to string it. i watched a couple of other videos but they were not as clear and helpful as this one.

It's about time that there is a restringing lesson for us gretsch folk. Too many lessons on restringing a jackson, ibanez or some other metal head guitar. Not enough gretsch videos out there. But this lesson really helped!!
