agree with the comments; you didn't know they don't get paid by the hour like UPS? that driver didn't throw the package to your porch, like some other drivers on youtube for both ups and/ or fedex, eh?
to some drivers, that's still not fast enough
Ground guys have it harder than Home Delivery guys; i should know i tried both branches of FedEx
If you get to the door before I get to my truck...then I better pick up the pace a little bit!! Back in the day, they did like 50 stops in 8 hours! These days, 120 delivery stops, 295 packages, 20 pick ups, 250 packages...and make sure you get to your final pick up before 5:00 pm or get charged for a late pick up! Different times Lady! I think he was moving a little slow personally!!
They don't have to physically hand of the package unless it the option for signiture required is used. Also they are suppose to only take 2 minutes per stop. (it might be 5 i forget) but it is a short time they are told to use per stop.
@100kathyc: I always thought they were actually meant to maybe wait for someone to deliver to, like in the old days, rather than just pulling a ding-dong-ditch.
@MStuart420 Yeah, despite having packages lost in the Black Hole of Tennessee, they're generally in good shape. I think we were supposed to have to sign for this one, but that's a technicality. ;)
@ladymorti : If you were supposed to have to sign for it...you WOULD have signed for it. He couldn't have left it without getting the signature. Looks like he did a great job to me!

@ladymorti Unless the package specifically states indirect or direct signature, we can driver release everything to residential areas.
