@SuperBlackVelvet who are you talking about as far as the person who makes contact with the((locals)) all people in this documentary are ((local)) pasha runs a educational program that works with Haitian children he is very comfortable as a Haitian.
Haitians are very trusting, very good people. However, if your vibe is fake not genuine when you deal with them, they will pick up on that and they won't trust you. You have to establish trust with people no matter what color you are. Just be genuine and honest. People are not stupid, if you give a vibe of standoff-fishness, people will pick up on that. I was able to pick up on it and I am all the way in the United States.
The other guys in the document are fairly comfortable with who they are, where they are and what ever they are dealing with. They are not just saying that they enjoy the haitian culture, they exude that in their attitudes and the way they carry themselves. @OSUNWURAOLA so every white, mixed race, and middle eastern descended Haitian are racist? do you realize many black Haitians stare at whites with the 50 yard stares making them feel like they do not belong?

I appreciate this documentary on the basis of making it known to the rest of the world that Haitians don't always identify with the Haitian brothers and sisters we see on tv. On another note, I find ithis doc to have some type of racial undertone more so negative than positive.
@nadlhy0502 of course there is racial undertone. the documentary is about minority groups of non african ethnic/cultural heritage so of course race will play into that when you talk about european and middle eastern ethnic lineage within culture and people.
and i am sorry you saw negativity in this documentary i did not intend negativity towards anyone but what you see is what you see and how you feel is how you feel.
i am glad you appreciate my work thank you for taking the time to c it.
As a person who was not born in Haiti , but is of Haitian decent because both my parents are black Haitians I sometimes find it hard to explain or justify how Haitian am... So if being Haitian is a question of color most would say I am haitian but if being Haitian is a question of being born in Haiti, then where does that leave those of us who clearly have Haitian roots, but weren't born in Haiti?
@nadlhy0502 there are white, asian and mixed race americans/europeans of Haitian parents and lineage who feel the same way. in the end the culture you are apart of is what you feel most comfortable in and most fluent in my opinion
@fourcorneredroom but before you get so mad at me for what i may or may have not done i want to ask yo ua question. when white people or people of different racial backgrounds or even class are generalized or attacked are you always the first one to jump up and say hey! stop talking about white, asian, mixed ect ect people like that!!! its not right!! ?? and if not can i assume you do not care about people of non black racial background and wish harm upon them? would that be fair?
@fourcorneredroom well your attacks were very personal so it seems though you do not know me you have much judgement towards, i hope you notice it took me several days to get back to this comment i do not always have good internet access here in the west indies so at times i can not respond as quickly as i would like and i am not able to read every message i get right away. regardless my opinion on this subject was stated in this thread,(( education is key to making haiti a better place)).
@fourcorneredroom i am sorry you feel so hostile towards me and my project, i never have expressed hate or malice or disrespect towards the black community nor did anyone i featured in this project.
my goal was to open a forum of expression for people of minority backgrounds in Haiti and hope to make a way of having discussion on the subject of race/color and history and culture in Haiti, i am sorry you see me and my work in such a bad light.
A "Frenchman" is white...a "Haitian" is black. only people with small minds think like that. But also I must say, I saw a stark white blonde-haired Hatian on the bus the other day....and I did a triple take. I wouldn't have known until he spoke.
@AtomicZero there is no need to feel ashamed atomiczero me and everyone included in this doc faces this kind of triple take shock most everyday the only people who should be ashamed are the ones who can not except the fact that there are Haitians of all different types of racial and ethnic backgrounds. I have met teachers of sociology and teachers at big universities in the usa who teach cultural studies and they are shocked when the subject of white/near white/middle eastern Haitians comes up.
@ForgottenFaces001 But people are never shocked when they see a Black French. Why is that?
Some people have no problem mistaking me for French . My brother lives in France , he is French but people are never shocked when they see him , he is not White he is a Black man.
@UniversalOneLove1 i often ask europeans, americans and outsiders of many different backgrounds from many different countries why they are shocked to see non black Haitians and caribbean people of different backgrounds they replyi never knew they were here or i thought they were all killed off and left or they think a white person has no place or reason to live in a place like Haiti. there are numerous reasons why they are so shocked but mainly because there are so few and no media about it
@ForgottenFaces001 I understand what you are saying but the real reason is never mentioned, as we went trough this before I do not want to go there anymore, its not so much so about knowledge , I think its deeper than that.
I think people are more shocked to see White Haitians than it is to see other White Caribbeans.
@ForgottenFaces001 On your videos you mentioned people are offended to see white Haitians really? actually the person was right, a lot of these Haitians are not White but Mulattoes , my grandfather was considered White in Haiti but actually he is not, people who think they are White in Haiti , when they come to the USA they get treated like Blacks but not like Whites. again the title of the video says "White Haitians" .
@UniversalOneLove1 if you wish to deny that anyone mentioned is non mixed you are welcome to the documentary has no agenda in proving that people are non mixed nor mixed it is simply a celebration of people of different european and middle eastern heritage that are rarely heard of or spoken of and how there history has contributed to modern Haitian culture.
@ForgottenFaces001 I never stated that anyone mentioned is non-mixed, obviously yes, I just wanted to say and as I stated " in a country, with so many Black people in a country, I mean intermixing is inevitable" and I specifically said Mulattoes, it means mixed.
@ForgottenFaces001 There are Whites in Haiti but very very few . Its no surprise with so many Black people in a country, I mean intermixing is inevitable.
@UniversalOneLove1 yes there are very few people in Haiti that can be classified as white this was said in the documentary over and over again i simply stated that some can still be found and it is a result of migrants who have come to Haiti for various reasons and who have contributed and assimilated into the Haitian culture.
again i feel if people were to watch the documentary they would see this. the reason it is titled white/biracial Haitians it is not specific to one minority but all.
Céu very nice name, there was a small colony of Portuguese in Haiti and there were migrants of that background well into the 20th century. i know Haitians who are as much as half portugese and who are fully Caucasian in some cases.
@ForgottenFaces001 OH MY GOODNESS you the smartest Hiatian I know lol not Aristide anymore lol how did you know? yeah wow you know your stuff I take my hat off to you BRAVO.
@ForgottenFaces001 I still cant believe you knew what my last name was lol You seem very passionate about your work. My destiny and universe send you far.
I have risked much to make these documentary projects and i continue the work as we speak. the history of my ancestors and my cultural connection and the cultural connection all people share with people of Europe in the caribbean is something i am very passionate about .
but these are struggles of black people, i think it is the responsibility of blacks to address them. i am not black i am speaking about issues that i feel i have a stronger connection to, and none claimed roberto martino junior was white, but many of his family members are that is why he was included in the project.
but like is said the project is not strictly about white or mixed just the history of other cultures that are not often spoke of in Haiti
i am very sensitive to this subject i was playing guitar in my garden when a few children snuck in to steal fruit from the trees they were scared when they saw me but i said its ok take some oranges i dont mind they came over to talk to me and were shocked i spoke kreyol, one little gril put her finger on my hair and said i wish i had smooth nice hair like yours instead my skin and hair is ugly and black i told her not to think that way. be happy with who god made you.
I think its more an Hiatian issue first & foremost . Like you said you concern about Hiati and you are Hiatian so this is your issue too. if you are Hiatian in that case you do have a connection to that issue
@UniversalOneLove1 many people in the documentary including myself who directed the project have german last names, this is Because like i said not all people in Haiti were or are black or mixed there were and still are people of other backgrounds such as Germans, English, Middle eastern, ect ect.
all in all i should not speak for the martinos i am not them all i can say is in my time with them and my time listening to there music i have not seen them as racist or mean spirited, i found them to be very nice warm and fun people
@ForgottenFaces001 hah and thank you for responding and explaining yourself , and you did not answer my questions but its okay lol Ill leave it at that.
If you do not have a french last names and you are Hiatian why you think is that?
well you may think the martinos are black but it is a fact other Haitians do not see them as black and many other people threw out the world do not see them as black this is a subject we touched upon in the documentary, i suggest you look at some videos of t vice and you will see black people on stage with them and in there videos, roberto and reynald are the only two non black or in your words light skinned blacks in the band the rest of the band is black,
the documentary is a statement that white, arab, bi racial or even asian people can be Haitians and the history of there lineage runs deep in Haiti in its history and culture.
i am not mixed people often confuse me with pasha the narrator I am Caucasian, and yes there are dark skinned bi racial people from Haiti and threw out the world no one was making a any claims against that, i would have happily interviewed a dark skinned person who was mixed if they would have let me.
i did not say admixture i said people of minority backgrounds, such as Middle eastern Haitians or Italian, or German, this video is not about people who are mixed
if you watch the documentary you will see white Haitians they are in the country i showed several examples not everyone in Haiti is black or mixed, there was no claim saying there were many unmixed whites but there are Haitians of German and french and other backgrounds who are not classified as bi racial.
all of the minorities in Haiti are wealthy some are middle class several people we interviewed were middle class in in some regions like the people of polish background are in abject poverty so the generalization that all non black people in Haiti are extremely rich is not a true assumption, those who are wealthy, are because those who migrated in came with plans for business. few people without wealth will migrate to Haiti. few poor people have migrated to Haiti
as far as your comment on all white being poor in sout africa? there is a minority of the white afrikaneer populace that has been pushed into extreme poverty but the majority have great wealth or are in the middle class. but yes there is a growing number of poor afrikaneers. i will not answer why blacks are poor i nother countries and whites typically more wealthy but i will speak for Haiti. most whites and mulattos are the blood of business people who migrated to Haiti.
you are misquoting the martinos but i will not get into that being that all of this is hear say. as far as them not ever wanting to date dark skinned women? have you seen robertos future wife iris martino? i suggest you look up a picture of her you will see your comment is a bit false. I am sorry there are so many black Haitian men who hate themselves this is something they should work on and something black haitians should improve in there community.
Mulattoes? where are the dark-skinned Mulatto? You can have a White grandparent or parent & come out Dark or Brown. be careful even the dark Hiatains you walk next to in the streets are mixed.
its no secret that whites have been brainwashed to think they are better & Mulattoes are NOT White.
I do not know why Black countries & people put so much emphasis on being Mixed, lol SELFHATRED. but where as Whites are & would be ashamed to tell peopel about their Black ancestry.
the majority of people in Haiti are of much more pure african background than other countries, many black Jamaican friends of mine and black american friends of mine state this when they come to visit. they can see the lack of admixture most people have, it seems you have missed the point of this program, there are many books and documentaries that celebrate black african culture in Haiti but there are almost none that celebrate the the other cultures that contributed.
the questions i can answer regarding the martinos about being racist based on the fact there music videos have light skinned people in them as racist i can only answer with a question, and i ask you if a black rap artist in the USA has a music video with only black people ((and this is 99 percent of the time the case)) is that racist? the majority of the USA is of is of Caucasian background but nobody says it is racist of them to only feature blacks. why is that?
i know madam pinkcombe as well, yes madam maggie pinkcombe has several black grand parents, i never claimed that all people in the documentary would be white by USA census standards or European, there is a focus on Haitians of white/European and yes roberto martino has black lineage down his blood lines as well, my point is several people i nthe project are fully white or would be considered such by the standards of Haiti and even white majority countries.
Peter Frisch or Tvice never said they were white , they just talked o ther ethnics about what else they were mixed with . Tvice even said because he is not fully white. Madam Pinkcombe is mulatto I know her family
my goal was simply to highlight ethnic and racial groups that were in Haiti and to high light Haitians of those backgrounds mixed, fully white, middle eastern background. i would have even included Chinese Haitians if i could have convinced anyone of the asian community to participate on this particular project.
@LoganDejoie regardless i did feature several white haitians, and yes as the video in its titles says bi racial Haitians, i think it is interesting how so many people are offended that there are haitians who are in fact ((white))
FASCINATING DOCUMENTARY... Wish you could get it on PBS, but they are too liberal, right? "Only whites can be racist"....
I heard there were about a million indentured servants/white slaves who were brought to the caribbean/barbados... that is a forgotten history too. "rednecks" - that's where the term comes from.
GOD BLESS!
I met a 1/32nd black white guy (blond hair, blue eyes) from St. Croix...
And there's that one small island in the Caribbean (Nevis?) that is half white/black.
if you look watched the whole film you will see many examples of white Haitians.
peter frisch who is the first one interviewed is of french and german blood, there are photos of ti corn who is a folk singer from haiti who is German Haitian.
madam pincomb is a french Haitian, Abraham the shop keeper is Lebanese, some would consider him white some white some may not. bu the project focuses on all minority groups within the caribbean, some people are mixed some are not.
a troll is someone who trolls other peoples videos and threads trying to get an emotional response, that is what he was doing, sorry i am to busy to get into everyone else and there battles, as far as restavecs and child slavery and class warfare lavelas, , i am against injustice towards any human being poor or rich black or white, if you have any comments or questions directed towards my videos or the subjects it deals with i would be happy to talk about that.
And also, I am wondering why do you keep suporting mediocrity????Look at Haiti, since Duvalier era, do you think it s becoming better or worst? I don't understand how come you can't see a simple fact or reality.It's better to close this debate because I think that I m loosing my time with you. You are thinking like little retarded kid.!!!
@fourcorneredroom Once again you are far away in my opinion. Papa Doc was a physician, Yes I Know and I agree. But what about the Tonton Macoutes, members of his goverments, most of them, didn't have an Hischool Diploma. He used them to collapse the social class. Whewn I am talking about social class, I am refering to a group not one persone.Andl also try to avoid the word"skin color", which has nothing related to our debate.
I am wondering if you understand the concept of social class..
Wake up!! You are far away in my comment. Due to bad experience of Haiti which has been led from Duvalier to today by uneducated and low social class people, I wrote that its time to reshape the administrative and governmental plan of the society, like it has been before, like it is in all powerful country. "Educated and hifgh social class people have to be leaders" When chimers and restavek were in power they became angry against wealthy people. Ex Aristid.
What could be foolishness for you is genious for educated and high class people. Actually I have a high leadership administrative position in US, thus they treat me as smart genius not as foolishness. Look at the US, French, British, German, Canadian government, tell me what kind of people chosen to be leaders?Educated or unaducated people? Low class or High Class people? If you can not answer theses questions, you will be considered as a "Restavek in your mind and chimere"
The white,mulatoes and rich black haitians have never been organised themselves as elites even when a large majority of them are rich and have good education from numerous prestigious universities, like Havard, Colombia,Oxford.Hence, the country is being led by uneducated people or by people who had been our "restavek" (servants) became our leaders. That is sad ad shameful for all haitians. Only in Haiti you kind of scene where "chimere" becomes president or have a seat in the senate.
But haitian governmet has never used this key to open the door for the country. My friend I know a bunch of haitian well educated in US. but the haitian government has never, never, never call them to participate or to help the educative system of the nation..Think of that.
@ForgottenFaces001 Mon ami, je ne crois pas dans les miracles. Tout simplement je peux te dire que les mulatres, les blancs les negres d'Haiti s'en fou du pays. Ils s'interessent seulement a leur poche non pas la nation
honestly i dont call out anyone, all people are welcome to make any comment they want on my vids, no matter how hateful or uninformed, and i never censor other people, so no i do not feel like a hypocrite.
i dont recall specifics but yes i do reply to comments directed towards me or my film. as far as this online debate you and timaliceetbouqui's are on i could care less, good luck and enjoy your debate but i suggest you do something more constructive and creative with your energy, if you started making videos on the subjects you are so passionate about and spent less time trying to bait people in to online wars your thoughts and feelings would be more respected and heard.
@ForgottenFaces001 well, the problem is that the vast mayority is black, is like argentina, people are unaware they are black and native american people there because that country is 97% white, they are predominantly of german and spanish decent. haiti is still a black nation with a biracial/white minority
@TheExtraordinaryTeen yes we are all well aware the vast majority of people are black hence the reason the only white face i see some days is my own. this documentary simply brings awareness to people that being Haitian has nothing to do with the color of your skin, black, white, mulatto, arab, asian all can be Haiti and all ethinic groups mentioned helped contribute to Haitian culture
@TheExtraordinaryTeen the documentary never implied that white and bi racial people in Haiti were a majority in fact we stated over and over again that they are a small minority threw the footage and narration.
@ForgottenFaces001 I find it interesting that people are having such a difficult time watching this documentary. It seems that just mentioning the existence of nonAfrican Haitians truly is offensive to people, regardless of who you show. Are metis and white people so terrible? Weren't the revolution leaders metis?
Now I don't mean to offend you, but the responses are almost as enlightening to me, as a mixed American, as the doc itself!
We're all human, people. Deal with it, then respect!
@ThePurpleSeahorse i find it interesting as well. this is the reason i made this documentary to confront the mindset i encounter all of the time from both Haitians and people abroad.
i expected these kinds of comments and i am glad they can be made public so that we as people and a society can address these mindsets and confront them and deal with them in a civil manner
@QueinSiingah There is no shame in voodoo. Christianity has been responsible for killing thousands millions of peopel. Ever heard of the crusades? Now why dont you judge them as well?
Pasha, whites are a minority worldwide! Not only in Haiti.

nadlhy0502 9 months ago
@nadlhy0502 there are white, asian and mixed race americans/europeans of Haitian parents and lineage who feel the same way. in the end the culture you are apart of is what you feel most comfortable in and most fluent in my opinion
ForgottenFaces001 9 months ago
@fourcorneredroom but before you get so mad at me for what i may or may have not done i want to ask yo ua question. when white people or people of different racial backgrounds or even class are generalized or attacked are you always the first one to jump up and say hey! stop talking about white, asian, mixed ect ect people like that!!! its not right!! ?? and if not can i assume you do not care about people of non black racial background and wish harm upon them? would that be fair?
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@fourcorneredroom well your attacks were very personal so it seems though you do not know me you have much judgement towards, i hope you notice it took me several days to get back to this comment i do not always have good internet access here in the west indies so at times i can not respond as quickly as i would like and i am not able to read every message i get right away. regardless my opinion on this subject was stated in this thread,(( education is key to making haiti a better place)).
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@fourcorneredroom i am sorry you feel so hostile towards me and my project, i never have expressed hate or malice or disrespect towards the black community nor did anyone i featured in this project.
my goal was to open a forum of expression for people of minority backgrounds in Haiti and hope to make a way of having discussion on the subject of race/color and history and culture in Haiti, i am sorry you see me and my work in such a bad light.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
A "Frenchman" is white...a "Haitian" is black. only people with small minds think like that. But also I must say, I saw a stark white blonde-haired Hatian on the bus the other day....and I did a triple take. I wouldn't have known until he spoke.
AtomicZero 1 year ago
@AtomicZero there is no need to feel ashamed atomiczero me and everyone included in this doc faces this kind of triple take shock most everyday the only people who should be ashamed are the ones who can not except the fact that there are Haitians of all different types of racial and ethnic backgrounds. I have met teachers of sociology and teachers at big universities in the usa who teach cultural studies and they are shocked when the subject of white/near white/middle eastern Haitians comes up.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 But people are never shocked when they see a Black French. Why is that?
Some people have no problem mistaking me for French . My brother lives in France , he is French but people are never shocked when they see him , he is not White he is a Black man.
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1 i often ask europeans, americans and outsiders of many different backgrounds from many different countries why they are shocked to see non black Haitians and caribbean people of different backgrounds they replyi never knew they were here or i thought they were all killed off and left or they think a white person has no place or reason to live in a place like Haiti. there are numerous reasons why they are so shocked but mainly because there are so few and no media about it
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 I understand what you are saying but the real reason is never mentioned, as we went trough this before I do not want to go there anymore, its not so much so about knowledge , I think its deeper than that.
I think people are more shocked to see White Haitians than it is to see other White Caribbeans.
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 On your videos you mentioned people are offended to see white Haitians really? actually the person was right, a lot of these Haitians are not White but Mulattoes , my grandfather was considered White in Haiti but actually he is not, people who think they are White in Haiti , when they come to the USA they get treated like Blacks but not like Whites. again the title of the video says "White Haitians" .
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1 if you wish to deny that anyone mentioned is non mixed you are welcome to the documentary has no agenda in proving that people are non mixed nor mixed it is simply a celebration of people of different european and middle eastern heritage that are rarely heard of or spoken of and how there history has contributed to modern Haitian culture.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 I never stated that anyone mentioned is non-mixed, obviously yes, I just wanted to say and as I stated " in a country, with so many Black people in a country, I mean intermixing is inevitable" and I specifically said Mulattoes, it means mixed.
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 There are Whites in Haiti but very very few . Its no surprise with so many Black people in a country, I mean intermixing is inevitable.
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1 yes there are very few people in Haiti that can be classified as white this was said in the documentary over and over again i simply stated that some can still be found and it is a result of migrants who have come to Haiti for various reasons and who have contributed and assimilated into the Haitian culture.
again i feel if people were to watch the documentary they would see this. the reason it is titled white/biracial Haitians it is not specific to one minority but all.

not a problem thank you for your interest i am glad the project opens up discussion and creates conversation.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
but these are struggles of black people, i think it is the responsibility of blacks to address them. i am not black i am speaking about issues that i feel i have a stronger connection to, and none claimed roberto martino junior was white, but many of his family members are that is why he was included in the project.
but like is said the project is not strictly about white or mixed just the history of other cultures that are not often spoke of in Haiti
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago 2
@UniversalOneLove1
i am very sensitive to this subject i was playing guitar in my garden when a few children snuck in to steal fruit from the trees they were scared when they saw me but i said its ok take some oranges i dont mind they came over to talk to me and were shocked i spoke kreyol, one little gril put her finger on my hair and said i wish i had smooth nice hair like yours instead my skin and hair is ugly and black i told her not to think that way. be happy with who god made you.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 steal from the tree? lol
I think its more an Hiatian issue first & foremost . Like you said you concern about Hiati and you are Hiatian so this is your issue too. if you are Hiatian in that case you do have a connection to that issue
but lol the good hair coonery.
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1 many people in the documentary including myself who directed the project have german last names, this is Because like i said not all people in Haiti were or are black or mixed there were and still are people of other backgrounds such as Germans, English, Middle eastern, ect ect.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
all in all i should not speak for the martinos i am not them all i can say is in my time with them and my time listening to there music i have not seen them as racist or mean spirited, i found them to be very nice warm and fun people
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@ForgottenFaces001 hah and thank you for responding and explaining yourself , and you did not answer my questions but its okay lol Ill leave it at that.
If you do not have a french last names and you are Hiatian why you think is that?
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
well you may think the martinos are black but it is a fact other Haitians do not see them as black and many other people threw out the world do not see them as black this is a subject we touched upon in the documentary, i suggest you look at some videos of t vice and you will see black people on stage with them and in there videos, roberto and reynald are the only two non black or in your words light skinned blacks in the band the rest of the band is black,
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
the documentary is a statement that white, arab, bi racial or even asian people can be Haitians and the history of there lineage runs deep in Haiti in its history and culture.
and thank you i am glad you enjoy my videos.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
i am not mixed people often confuse me with pasha the narrator I am Caucasian, and yes there are dark skinned bi racial people from Haiti and threw out the world no one was making a any claims against that, i would have happily interviewed a dark skinned person who was mixed if they would have let me.
i did not say admixture i said people of minority backgrounds, such as Middle eastern Haitians or Italian, or German, this video is not about people who are mixed
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
if you watch the documentary you will see white Haitians they are in the country i showed several examples not everyone in Haiti is black or mixed, there was no claim saying there were many unmixed whites but there are Haitians of German and french and other backgrounds who are not classified as bi racial.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
all of the minorities in Haiti are wealthy some are middle class several people we interviewed were middle class in in some regions like the people of polish background are in abject poverty so the generalization that all non black people in Haiti are extremely rich is not a true assumption, those who are wealthy, are because those who migrated in came with plans for business. few people without wealth will migrate to Haiti. few poor people have migrated to Haiti
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
as far as your comment on all white being poor in sout africa? there is a minority of the white afrikaneer populace that has been pushed into extreme poverty but the majority have great wealth or are in the middle class. but yes there is a growing number of poor afrikaneers. i will not answer why blacks are poor i nother countries and whites typically more wealthy but i will speak for Haiti. most whites and mulattos are the blood of business people who migrated to Haiti.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
you are misquoting the martinos but i will not get into that being that all of this is hear say. as far as them not ever wanting to date dark skinned women? have you seen robertos future wife iris martino? i suggest you look up a picture of her you will see your comment is a bit false. I am sorry there are so many black Haitian men who hate themselves this is something they should work on and something black haitians should improve in there community.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
Mulattoes? where are the dark-skinned Mulatto? You can have a White grandparent or parent & come out Dark or Brown. be careful even the dark Hiatains you walk next to in the streets are mixed.
its no secret that whites have been brainwashed to think they are better & Mulattoes are NOT White.
I do not know why Black countries & people put so much emphasis on being Mixed, lol SELFHATRED. but where as Whites are & would be ashamed to tell peopel about their Black ancestry.
UniversalOneLove1 1 year ago
@UniversalOneLove1
the majority of people in Haiti are of much more pure african background than other countries, many black Jamaican friends of mine and black american friends of mine state this when they come to visit. they can see the lack of admixture most people have, it seems you have missed the point of this program, there are many books and documentaries that celebrate black african culture in Haiti but there are almost none that celebrate the the other cultures that contributed.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
the questions i can answer regarding the martinos about being racist based on the fact there music videos have light skinned people in them as racist i can only answer with a question, and i ask you if a black rap artist in the USA has a music video with only black people ((and this is 99 percent of the time the case)) is that racist? the majority of the USA is of is of Caucasian background but nobody says it is racist of them to only feature blacks. why is that?
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
i know madam pinkcombe as well, yes madam maggie pinkcombe has several black grand parents, i never claimed that all people in the documentary would be white by USA census standards or European, there is a focus on Haitians of white/European and yes roberto martino has black lineage down his blood lines as well, my point is several people i nthe project are fully white or would be considered such by the standards of Haiti and even white majority countries.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
Peter Frisch or Tvice never said they were white , they just talked o ther ethnics about what else they were mixed with . Tvice even said because he is not fully white. Madam Pinkcombe is mulatto I know her family
LoganDejoie 1 year ago
@LoganDejoie
my goal was simply to highlight ethnic and racial groups that were in Haiti and to high light Haitians of those backgrounds mixed, fully white, middle eastern background. i would have even included Chinese Haitians if i could have convinced anyone of the asian community to participate on this particular project.
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago
@LoganDejoie regardless i did feature several white haitians, and yes as the video in its titles says bi racial Haitians, i think it is interesting how so many people are offended that there are haitians who are in fact ((white))
ForgottenFaces001 1 year ago

And also, I am wondering why do you keep suporting mediocrity????Look at Haiti, since Duvalier era, do you think it s becoming better or worst? I don't understand how come you can't see a simple fact or reality.It's better to close this debate because I think that I m loosing my time with you. You are thinking like little retarded kid.!!!
timaliceetbouqui 1 year ago

Ex Aristid.
timaliceetbouqui 1 year ago
@fourcorneredroom
If you can not answer theses questions, you will be considered as a "Restavek in your mind and chimere"
timaliceetbouqui 1 year ago
The white,mulatoes and rich black haitians have never been organised themselves as elites even when a large majority of them are rich and have good education from numerous prestigious universities, like Havard, Colombia,Oxford.Hence, the country is being led by uneducated people or by people who had been our "restavek" (servants) became our leaders. That is sad ad shameful for all haitians. Only in Haiti you kind of scene where "chimere" becomes president or have a seat in the senate.

@ForgottenFaces001 well, the problem is that the vast mayority is black, is like argentina, people are unaware they are black and native american people there because that country is 97% white, they are predominantly of german and spanish decent. haiti is still a black nation with a biracial/white minority
TheExtraordinaryTeen 11 months ago
@TheExtraordinaryTeen yes we are all well aware the vast majority of people are black hence the reason the only white face i see some days is my own. this documentary simply brings awareness to people that being Haitian has nothing to do with the color of your skin, black, white, mulatto, arab, asian all can be Haiti and all ethinic groups mentioned helped contribute to Haitian culture
ForgottenFaces001 11 months ago
@TheExtraordinaryTeen the documentary never implied that white and bi racial people in Haiti were a majority in fact we stated over and over again that they are a small minority threw the footage and narration.
ForgottenFaces001 11 months ago
