There was in fact many groups of people called Gnostics who all shared about several exactly identical beliefs. @5micRecords Yes the divine feminine is ignored in many ways in almost all modern religions, Sophia, I believe, is connected with the kundalini energy which rises from with in. Its good to see that some one is getting the message of the divine feminine aspect of God which is ignored so much in so many ways.

It's the Old Testament "God" that everyone worships, you know the nice guy that supposably flooded the world because he loved everyone so much and demands blood sacrifice and to be worshipped as "god." Cross is very old symbol. It is representative of the spine, but more so the central channel which energy can flow straight up. Now the cross can be seen as different things, it can have usefulness in navigating the kabala, it can also represent the crossing psychic energy channel from the pineal to the third eye and also from pineal to the back of the head, which is also an important point. Pick up your cross, means to activate the channels to experience the cross.

I wouldn't doubt that the cross is older than egypt, where did I say that it wasn't? It's both a solar and caduceus type symbol, and is found in most of the belief systems throughout the world. Post some links to your so called facts.

The snake may be symbolizing the spiraling energy that can be guided up. There are different activations that involve that spiraling type sensation. Some say that there are two counter rotating energies and if the ratio of spinning speed is correctly brought about then it activates different chakras, and the cross might be seen as the chakra being activated. Third eye chakra is important to cleanse the other chakras. Crown chakra can be seen as God chakra, and Christ is son of God, (3rd eye)
