  • i'm a compulsive gambler. it's a hard habit to kick. i don't believe in any of the "disease" mumbo jumbo. people gamble in the hopes of winning and it's hard when you lose and that's how it goes. a lot of people gamble. it's legal in a lot of places and a lot of people lose lots of money. each one does it in the hopes of winning and that;s why they keep coming back. if you can live without it, good for you. i hope to win a good amount someday, but i know it's a longshot. anyway, good luck.

  • @danteras23

Do you understand gambling? What do you gamble on? How well do you understand probabilities? Are you good with money aside from your problem gambling?

Depending on what the answers are I might be able to give you some advice.

I'm a professional gambler and I understand it's not for everyone. But understanding the nature of different games can help people understand that they have no chance to win. In that case it's easier to stop.

  • Gambling addiction is being re-defined in the DSM V and will no longer be classified as an impulse control disorder. It will now be under Behavioral addictions.

thanks and have a nice day.

  • At no point in the "video" while the narrator is discussing his gambling problem does he ever mention the terms "poker", or "WSOP." The title of the video was obviously made to draw people to it.

  • alright it's really simple ... so very very simple... i've known a man to lose his entire family and most his possessions compulsively gambling and getting into trouble with debt to people. his losses and lack discipline were by FAR his problems. 99% of compulsive gambling is simply a lack of BR management and nothing more. i really think ego is by far the biggest problem for people like this, because they just can't be "tainted" by outside information.

no more tarded comments about online scams

  • @PlayOnDrugs you need to suck a dick less, 40% of problems is becouse people is to retarded to win money, other 40% of problems comes from emotional issues like tilt (here you can include bankroll managment) and 20% bad luck. So suck dick more and maybe you will learn something one day.

  • Professional gambler = understands proper bankroll management and has the discipline to stick to it.

Gambling addict = bets it all, all the time.

  • @4JayeP This is a common reaction from people who consider gambling a meaningful thing to do. The whole point is, it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it is an addiction. It's not worth your social life and health to be in that environment all the time. It's all about the money and there are more important things in life.

  • @TDP788 Are you God? You act so high and mighty passing judgement on people. Are you some sort of authority? NO YOU ARE NOT. Don 't stand there and lecture people on YOUR value system. Guess what, I don't give a rip about YOUR value system. Don't tell me what my life is about. Got it!!!!!!! Understand !!!!!!! what do you know about addiction? Have you been to AA, BA, NA? Unless you have/had an addiction that you have NO idea what you are talking about. NONE. Stupid, hi and might moron

  • @4JayeP Whoa, calm down. That comment was not specifically targeted at you personally. It was just an opinion. Why are you so defensive? FYI, I was born and raised in a city illuminated by casinos, and I started gambling in them with a fake ID when I was 17. I built up a bankroll playing poker and now I am trying to quit gambling because it has taken over my life. Win or lose, MY OPINION is that it is a miserable waste of life.

  • @4JayeP Sounds like you have some problems of your own. Good luck managing that anger and keeping yourself from going on tilt.

  • ollidudley- maybe if you could spell, I would validate your comment with a response. You are free to be as insensitive and ignorant as you wish- but please, why don't you find some other forum to share it in than the video of someone trying to help himself and others. You are either one of the many that is still in denial about his/her own addictions, or simply have never wittnessed how destructive and painful a gambling addiction can be.

  • i am very addictional to onlinepoker, and i know all the issues, and i get all the help that i need. But still i choose to gamble because it missing something in my life that i can't be without. do you know what it is ?

  • maybe if you were good it wouldent be a problem..
