Got a quick questions for the pros here. I have a an area that's 2 meters wide and about 15 metres long. Now I know the slope should be 1/8 of an inch every foot, else the slope's going to be too obvious. But how do you make the slope. Is there some kind of setting on the plate compactor or you got to use the spirit level to somehow create a slope and then hope the compactor maintains the slope. Also another question, after I put the pavers in, should I tap them in with a rubber mallet at all?
@multicast11 You can do the slope at the very beginning with the level strings that you install before even dig the site. The plate compactor will just compact the gravel where it is, just make sure you measure with your strings to maintain the slope
@a334455 I'm confused about slopes too. I don't get how the string helps you with knowing where your slope is. I mean the strings come off when you mark with the paint, and even if you keep them on, how do you use them to help you dig?
Great work, we are a designing company in Southern California and just took photo's of a new paver product coming out in 2011. It has a 3D effect and a unique star pattern. We are interested to find out if this paver application could be a potential seller in your area? Call LifeScape or comment on our youtube UrLifescape Channel, we are interested in your opinion. Thank you.
Nice video..however I have a question. How would you deal with steps? I would imagine after awhile the pavers used at the steps would come loose and fall when stepped on at the edges? Do you concrete theose in?
The house I bought had a bunch of slate around the yard used for various landscaping, so I didn't have to buy any stone. It only cost me about $150 total for all materials, not sure what it would've cost if I had to buy the stone.
Nice!

If you're going to correct someone make sure you're right yourself

@MmmTouchMe Yes you're right, I meant T in it, of course! I'm not really correcting anyone, just having a bit of fun!
