Heavy Duty sounds pretty nice even though it sort of stands out from rest of the album. Heavy Duty and Defenders of the Faith are obviously ment to be played live while rest of the album works well as itself. Too bad there's not many videos from this era, not good quality videos anyway. This is decent but it's nothing like the official DVDs of course, like Live Vengeance and Electric Eye...
Best fuckin' concert I've ever seen! I was dead center front row! Kick Axe opened up for them in Bismarck ND in '84, the year I graduated. Drove from Fargo to the show, I threw a joint onstage to Rob....he didn't see it but Glen did...lol...he picked it up and stuck it in on the headstock of his guitar... kick ass show! Next day we drove to Minneapolis and caught Slave Raider/Twisted Sister/Ronnie James Dio on Navy Island....what a weekend!
Thank you for posting this!! Incredible song and performance, I saw them live 2 days ago and they havent lost any of their power and Rob still has the voice!!
Priest PWNS them all. I remember this tour. They encored with this song in Charlotte NC and had 20,000 lighters held up lit in the crowd during the chorus.
i saw this tour in Des Moines. I sat first row on the right side of the stage and when Glenn played Hellion I was in spot light with him jammin my air guitar!! Rockn Roll
Amazing video of the Metal Gods ! Defender of the Faith is definitely one of my favourite albums and the tour was so great, the stage, the set-list, Rob's voice etc. Thanks !
Great post! I've been looking for this forever! One of the best Priest songs ever. Ahh, who am I kidding, I think they're all great. I'm with ya phil, wish I lived there too, even though I've seen'em stateside a couple of times. The Vegas show they did at Mandalay Bay with Queensryche was epic.
I was at North Lands Colosseum, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I know what you mean about the deafening sound. I thought that the pyrotechnics's were going to bring down the roof! Freakin awesome...never forget that!
