I have PCOS and was going to try a yogurt and fresh fruits and veggies, and I drink nothing but water, and green tea (without sugar) and taking vitamins and herbs. what do you think?
You really should look into the Low Glycemic Index food. I have been eating it since my father got diagnosed with diabetes. (more than 2 years) You will be surprised what you could eat. I'm never hungry after and between meals.
For me its the lunch room full of doughnuts and coffee cake. Oh, and cupcakes and brownies for peoples birthday. Ugh, its a neverending source of unhealthy calories.
I brought in carrots and hummus one day. Its still sitting in the fridge, but the donuts didn't last until lunch. Ew.
IT looks great with what you eating. The only thing that I would say is you might want to start buying organic yogurt. Walmart has Stonyfield Farm organic yogurt, and milk. Kraft has cheese that does not have the rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone). They call it there Natural cheese.
I'm not really a cheese person, but I do crave a grilled cheese once in a blue moon.
I'll have to see if the cheese in our fridge has rBGH. I doubt it as the brand already cuts out artificial preservatives, color and flavor and a million other 'unhealthy' things. Good Tip!
@thebubblelush I just wanted to add (though this video is quite old now) that the rBGH hormone isn't added to the food, but injected into the cows for the milk and meat production. The worst part about it is that the cows have been recorded to have fertility problems, stillbirth, miscarriage, uterine and ovarian cysts and some have developed cancer. It's like Cow PCOS. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream prides itself on using rBGH free cows. =)
I agree ... try plain yogurt and add fruit ... much healthier! I also add some cinnamon. Cinnamon is supposed to be awesome to help blood sugar/insulin resistance. I have about 1/2 - 1 tsp/day.
i have a sweet tooth it is my down fall lol.... i read an article that if u dont sleep well at night or u dont go to sleep until really late ur body will crave sugar because its expecting to stay awake.... i dont go to sleep until late i'm working on that and hopefully that will help someone reading this to try to get to sleep earlier if they seem to be doing other things right
YEAH for OTH!!! but i must say the whole Peyton drama is on my last nerve... either kill her off or don't.. seriously it's that simple! grrrr! No beauties this time??!!! I so sad! :( :(
OTH is way on my last nerve. Peyton is so frickin' drama. I'm a big Leyton fan, but Brucas is looking better and better even given their whole real life drama.
Chromium is REALLY god for balancing blood glucose levels. Also and added bonus if you are and carb addict and have a sweet tooth this will lower your cravings and in return you will lose weight. It worked in the past for me to lose 40 in 2 months so I will be taking it again.
Another great low calorie snack is to take two square graham crackers and low fat whipped cream put the whip cream in between the graham cracker and put them in the freezer for about an hour take out and enjoy ..YUMMY
The only thing I see that I'm not sure I agree with is the Special K bars. Those types of bars are usually loaded with preservatives, sugar and hydrogenated oils - all of which - even if low in calories - will hinder our weight loss. If you are interested, I have an awesome energy bar recipe I can share with you.
Looks like you already know your stuff and are doing a lot of good things. The grapefruit is awesome in aiding with health and weight loss. Have you considered implementing lentils and flax seed into your diet? These help a lot with digestion.
I love you C, but this video is all wrong. 4 us, I think.

Plain Yogurt! You ladies are killin' me!
But I asked for feedback, so I'll try it. :)
The cinnamon seems easy to incorperate, so I'll try that this week as well.
Thank you Both!

I am a sleep fiend. I go to sleep really early. Really early. Like 8:30-9pm early on a good night. 10:30 on a bad night.
But I get up a 5, so I have a reason to be this lame.
I do agree that lack of sleep causes me to eat worse that day. Just another reason to catch up on my beauty sleep!

He was being so strange. Turns out Chris did take him on a small walk, but he was so lathargic and unlike himself!
I was actually really worried about him.
Then Chris got home from work and he was back to his normal self. He's a big faker!

Low Glycemic Index is a buzz word that I've heard before but I'm not that familiar with.
Have you tried it?

Interesting. I'll have to try that!
A lot of the suggestions I've received this week include low fat whip cream - looks like I need to add that to the grocery list.

Chris and I tried a new grocery store this week that had tons of bulk bins, and for some reason the first thing we though of was DIY granola bars.
We're up for trying it, so if you have a favorite recipe please throw it my way.
