  • I LOVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO JUST DONT FIND IT AS TRASH AND YOU KEEP IT :D

  • i love trash picking, Last pick i found a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp!

  • Nice radio. Got a C725 today from an estate sale. It is basically the same unit as the G730 but with a plastic case.

  • i have one that works good from 1945 a beautiful machine that i still use to this day

  • or buy a power cord?

  • Has a good sound.

  • the sound is the best i v ever heared...and yes, the next time stop fucking me up and open the plywood, ok?

  • At 50 years old you would have needed to replace the cord to be safe. You will need new caps and the tubes tested. Those radios will still work with bad tubes but sound like hell. Very nice find.

  • is that 7m07 chassis?

  • Cool find, why do people cut the cords, makes me mad to.

  • @chairdude1 They usually cut them because the last tie it was plugged in they probably got religion because the set smoked or popped. It's a 5 minute job to replace the cord but I would never do it and plug it in without looking it over first.

  • Garbage picker

  • I...talk...in...monotone...

  • Great find! Sounds nice. Now sombody got your clock and will probably have it on U-Tube next week. . : )

  • Old Zenith's never die....

    They are like gnomes..

You never know where they will appear...

    Even curbside..

    And it still played on!

  • I neglected to mention previously that you should also replace any selenium rectifiers in the chassis to avert any safety issues. They are commonly used in electronic devices of that era.

  • If you have any wax paper caps in it, I would suggest that you replace them, along with any top hat diodes. If you don't do this, you could risk blowing the inline fuse.

  • great sound quality...they dont make them like they used to!!

  • What a big luck, man!!!

  • Does it have stereo sound?

  • Nice score if i saw one of these in the trash it take it in the blink of an eye, its a disgrace how people throw away perfectly good vintage stuff like this id love to have a radio like this

  • I can't believe someone would throw a perfectly good radio out. Has very good sound quality.

  • aw niice!! The things people throw out, eh?

I never found any electronics in the garbage, but I have seen a vintage 1950s TV in a back alley beside the garbage can when I was a kid, but back then, I couldn't get it home. Now, I'd have swiped that thing in a blink!

  • Replace all the electrolytic caps (you said you had a hum). It appears you have some distortion too. Check the tubes as well.

  • Sounds awesome! people are so stupid for throwing those out

  • you're right! i have a 1958 telefunken andante 9 and it sounds great!

  • Can You mail it to me for free ?

  • LOL!!!! NOT!!!! This one is a keeper for me. Otherwise i will Ebay it.

  • dan9788wax he would give it to you for free he'd give it to me! lol GREAT FIND! and i think im lucky when i find a lawnmower.
