Hey, just a heads up about shea butter. Real, unrefined and pure shea butter does have a smell...it's slightly nutty and earthy. Personally I love it but I know that others don't. The L'Occitane is very popular but really not a high quality shea. Next time, try Whole Foods or the like for a pure unrefined shea that is much better for you and also much cheaper. You will be blown away! I use shea as undereye cream, nothing is more moisturizing. Hope this helped! xoxo Claire

I got the pomegranate body scrub as well and I am a bit confused by it. It felt a bit too buttery or even greasy to me. I was so excited to try it and I always need a good exfoliant, but like another commenter said, I didn't feel clean. I felt like I needed to rewash with soap after. Have you tried it yet? @braceyourselves1 I haven't tried it yet. The greasy ones are sometimes good for the feet, if you don't like it all over. I'll try it though and let you know what I think, if you're interested.

Maria is a pain polish. I was really looking forward to it too. The body scrub smells just like the body butter. It's way more like greasy butter than the body butter. I don't really like it because I shower to be clean, not to feel greasy...It does exfoliate well though.
i love my julep polishes so far. they seem to last forever and dont chip on me for days :) i got a pretty metallic rose color maya i think its called. i havent tried it yet but i hope to make it work for me though
I had the same application problem with Maria as you did! I love the color, but the application was a mess and I had to take it off :-/ I'm holding out hope that I don't get any more colors with this issue.

The color Maria looks beautiful, It looks like a rosey taupe to me. Maybe the color was suited to your skintone? Sad that it dried that way....maybe you just got a bad batch? I wore the Maria polish the other day and didn't have that problem. I really like it. I compared it next to the Butter London Fairy Lights and it seems to be a pretty close, if not exact dupe.

Yea I noticed that Julep's metallic shades which are so gorgeous have that unfortunate problem, I have the color Maya and Maria and both do the same thing. For some reason it forms a sort of tacky bump on the tip of my nail, if that makes any sense,lol. I wonder if a certain base coat may fix the problem.

Have you tried out of africa shea tins? Just a heads up. They are almost as good as loccitane, but far cheaper. I get mine for $10, almost same amount of product too. Just a little tiny bit less.
I also got the american beauty bag and was most excited about the color maria. I applied it and by the end of the day it was already chipping. Its a gorgeous color so i'll give it another shot but i love anne. Ive gotten many compliments on it already :)
Ok I got the same polish but had not used it yet but since it was sitting here right beside me as I was watching the video I picked it up and just painted a couple of nails and it went on great,now I did not bother putting a base coat on because I was just painting a couple of nails so my nails were naked,maybe that has something to do with it. : )

I got that one in my first bag, and had the same issue. I ended up applying more polish on the first stroke and doing the sides quickly and Got it on after trial and error. I love the color, but yeah it was a pain. Glad to see it wasn't just me and they all rent like that.

i love the smell of the scrub! so fresh and pomegranit-y. good word huh. just don't take a deep sniff of the polish remover pads or it will singe your nose hairs! whew. really bad. but they work fast. i'm having fun exploring the products and loving the products. tmi...i've got "demi" on my toes and it was super opaque after one coat. makes me happy. thanks for sharing heidi. i'm really enjoying my julep boxes so far. hope you had a great lunch and a great day.

Maria is a chrome polish you can't go over it more than once on the first cost otherwise it will drag the color off. Wait for it to set before re-applying 2nd coat . Then give 2nd coat a few mins to dry b4 applying TC

That's what happened to me, I received my penny box & I got the polish called Tracy which is a bright blue, and it was drying too fast, and it was too thick...:(

I watched this again and it was the metallic one I told you about on tweeter that reminds me of Zoya Rea - to me it looked more lavender than pink I guess.

Ly need two coats with the Maria. It is a pretty color and neutral enough to wear everyday. Don't give up on it just heat!
