Oh my God ...

What a voice, what a woman ... How come we don't see her on tv instead of all these so called "female singers". Simply love her voice, one of the best songs I've heard for a long time, always gives me goosebumps.

Nicole Atkins has got one terrific voice-absolutely stunning song as well. A jewel in the present over hyped field of women vocalists. She has a better voice then Beyonce or Taylor-Swift for example..

@DonJuanPickard she is a natural. These other girls you mention have so much musical back-up, a chipmunk could do the singing for them. They get drown into the mix. Very artificial. It's about many people getting together and performing. This young woman is real and untouched by the american explosion. Awesome !

I'd also like to comment on the sound and recording production on this video.

If this was done by Swedish national TV, I'd have to say that in all this was as close

to pure crap as one can get within given situation.

Situation in which they had a great band performing and extremly high quality equipment to work with (they ought to have only high end equipment in use) and they managed to produce "demo" sounding recording. And this clearly wasn't video packing's fault. Totally over-compressed.

I have to concur with Rajkozuluf. In music business your skill and integrity as an artist and musician has very little or nothing to do with your success as part of that immense bureaucratic machine. Atkins & Co. are doing rather well in terms of integrity and skill while being allowed performing in international TV. That's something but they probably are at, or at least near, the climax of their career as members of this ensemble.

I couldn't agree more with you (also with the comment on recording production on this video), BUT... I got back from work at 2 AM after 15 hours of working, nervous as hell, and I was turning in bed for two hours, being careful not to wake my girlfriend up, so I decided to listen "that singer I saw recently on TV". And then this song came "...I don't think I'll ever sleep 'till morning...". And there it is - in my head and heart forever. I was resurected. It is so simple and beautiful!

I don't think a female singer would be flattered to be compared to a man. She's more like Edith Piaf. Very romantic and emotional voice.
