This is what The Witcher 1.0 should've been. The first release was buggy crap. I downloaded it with every intention to buy it, but i soon realized that was foolish as the game was a great game that was still a beta.
@RainFall2112 you do realize this is about the second Witcher game? The first one got a new version long ago which fixed most if not all of its flaws. ("The Witcher Enhanced Edition").
Man, they really are obsessed with making sure people know The Witcher is dark. Seriously, they almost never shut up about dark this and dark that. Anyway, awesome patch. I really wish I could get that armor without playing Dark mode, though. :/
And along with the Xbox 360 release, PC is still going to get the new features found in the Xbox version. New, 4 minute cgi intro and, very likely, dlc. Though on PC they'll be for free, because Microsoft doesn't allow developers to release their dlc free of charge for the Xbox 360, as one of the CDP Reds stated. PC 1:0 Xbox
@magicdevil09 Well... that's not 100% true, because if the DLC is free on other platforms charging for it on Xbox would be bad for Micro$oft's console's reputation, but they do try to charge as much as they can for anything if they can...
@93Gamerz The Elder Scrolls games are unique. The open world nature of the TES is something you cannot find in most RPGs. You are asking for this game to have something that is entirely unique to another game.
This is one reason that I continue to support CDP whole heartedly and get everyone I know (who would be so inclined) interested in The Witcher series. In the past few years they have proven that you can take care of your customers, turn out a good product, respect the RPG genre, AND turn a profit while doing it. Everyone else in the business should be taking notes. This is how it is done.
@pathduck I guess he refers to the fact that Dark Mode is supposed to be some kind of Hardcore Mode and still lets you save the game at least. Normally Hardcore Mode gives you limited saves.
Thankfully one factor far outweighs the other! Too bad you can't seem to offer a fair price on Steam for some reason, even though DRM free is superior in every way but convenience.
The definitive edition, ey? Is chapter 3 finally going to be brought up to the quality of the first 2 chapters? I've been wanting to buy this game, but the PCG review scared me away. I'm in no hurry to play this, I can wait until the game is truly complete.
@ncrikku You've only read reviews of the game yet complain about the quality of chapter 3 compared to the first 2 chapters??? Shut the fuck up and form your own opinion, loser...
@vincentdesrd lol, relax. Adorable though, how you came to their rescue like that. Anyway, something must have been up your ass when you read that, because I did not intend it to sound like I was complaining. This being the definitive edition, I was wondering if that meant that the rest of the game was completed.
-inb4 reading comprehension fail- don't bother replying if you think this was a complaint as well.
@ncrikku It is a short chapter but it is not bad... It wraps up the main storyline for the game but sets up for a bigger storyline (Like one of the earlier Harry Potter books)
One of the few good companies still left on horrible games market.
