  • Cool intro

  • The thing about Dale was, people didn't like him at the time. But he was the only person who kept NASCAR sane. Since his death on this fateful day, NASCAR has slowly but surely gone to commercial shit. RIP 3

  • 2:45 O_O that is so spine chilling to see

  • Ya the 2:45 moment and the last thing Dale said in his pre-race interview "you'll probably see something you ain't never seen on fox before" are just really eerie. Then again there are a lot of coincidental and strange things that happened that day. If you looked at the sky above turns 3 and 4 during the crash there is a E shaped cloud not to mention all the doves flying up on impact.

  • 1:15 and 2:46 are scary cause when darrell's talking about Heaven his brother (Micheal Waltrip) is then as he gets the news what is going on with Dale (The 1st never Sr.) and 2-46 is looks like Dale's dissapearing into the white and would never come back.....aka the white is heaven.

  • Watching Dale walk off into the light gives me chills everytime.

  • The Start Of Something Big!!!!!

  • 2:45

    Wow. That's just.....wow.

  • When you pointed it out/......i notced......it gave me chills and goosebumps

  • What started so traditionally... ended so historically...

  • Gives me Chills everytime Dale walks off into that bright light.

  • back in the good old days i watched this race with my dad after church that sunday sad day for earnhardt fans nascar has never been the same since

  • For DW to do the intro of this race, and then have the emotional day he had, will never be forgotten.

  • it was his first race to comatate or something lol

  • feels like this was yesterday...

  • this was BY FAR the best race at daytona UNTIL the last lap... R.I.P.*3*

  • yes i totaly agree with you. the racing this day was something else and totaly amazing. 3 wide, some times also 4 wide at times through out the whole pack. It was a great race until like you said that last lap where we lost some one great, and very special. R.I.P Dale

  • Not 1970, from 1993 on and this one will stay with my other tapes forever. This one is a historic and sad race.

  • Its funny how the intro for that year, then went for the history side n what not...and at the end of the day is was another top 10 historic moments at Daytona....

    sad but true

  • FOX needs to bring back this music get rid of lets go racing boys

  • there intros arent as good as CBS's

  • "You ain't nothing if you've never won the Daytona 500"

Yeah, would you being saying that if you didn't get lucky with your win Waltrip?

  • He won it, did you?

  • I tape every Daytona 500, And this one will stay with my other tapes forever. This one is a historic and sad race.

  • You taped the 1970's Daytona 500s?

  • I tape every race... And I keep every one that I like, or one's that is historic. And I kept this one. But I'm like ya'll. I don't have this part.

  • dale died that same day

  • 2.45 thats kinda of creppy to me a little wat bout the others

  • I have to agree, watching Earnhardt walk off into the mist and disappear toward the end was a bit eerie.

  • I thought the same thing when I first saw that.

  • It gave me chills, it realy was eerie.

  • i have this race but not this part

  • Hey so do I and the first half of this part isn't on it.

  • I too have this race on tape, and i must say, good intro

  • Heck yeah, one thing about FOX is they never skimp on their introductions!

  • ^^^Wait.

    I meant "fateful", not faithful.

  • Wow.

    I forgot all about this.

Given the events of that faithful day, I forgot all about this part.
