  • halah.....emang dasar maling kampang mana pernah ngaku....

  • It was originally a proud Indonesian song, then the Malaysians tweaked it and came up with version 2.

  • Malaysia anthem taken from Perak State Anthem - Allah Selamatkan Negeri dan Sultan

Officially adopted since 1888 during the visit of Sultan Idris Murshidul'adzam Syah to the coronation of Queen Victoria at London and the first Malay state to have a state anthem.

  • yoo, ppi bxl hadir! ;)

  • I'd only known the tune as Negaraku all my life so I couldn't imagine how it sounded with Terang Bulan lyrics. I'd always thought it was sombre and severe but thanks to the videos it's actually quite nice laidback or fast.

  • Doesn't sound like the Terang Bulan I know. An uncle had a very old music score from pre-Merdeka days & it's exactly like Negaraku. Later on I read that a royal rep on a diplomatic visit to UK was asked for the then Federated States of Malaya's national anthem to be played and there wasn't one cos it was still under colonial rule. So the prince came up with Terang Bulan as it was a popular tune - prob happened in '20s-30s? Guess it stuck.

  • dumb ears....!!!!!!

  • This melody exists already from 1900 on, in the socalled Komedy Stamboel in Indonesia. It wassimply called Stamboul II, and because of his popularity used by many musicians, including krontjongbands and classical composers als Paul Seelig. Later on it was used as the Malaysian anthem

  • not same at all !!

    malaysia national anthem is different..

orang indonesia ni jenis syok sendiri ar..

    xsedar diri..

  • terang bulan has always been a traditional song from indonesia...if anyone should be sued for plagiarism it's those idiots who couldn't create their own national anthem and more those idiots who believed everything their government said

  • Dear Malaysians! This sorts of musical improvisation by an individual-didn't quite similar to M'sian national anthem melody-but, if anybody argue the fact it's still a plagiarism, will they propose a new song to the M'sian govt? Let's wait for our fellow Malaysian's comments here, (a walking tall guy shld rise up and take some actions)Sincerely: nakhoda

  • Dear Nakhoda

wat do you mean with your National Anthem..... ???

    sincerely,
