Having watched video clips of recording sessions of Tsunku with Morning Musume (such as "Love Machine"), it is pretty obvious that he is a creative genius as a director/producer, knowing what kind of phrasing and voice will work for each member and that blending it together. And he provides a lot of the background vocals on H!P songs.
