@RyanKeehn949 You learned that in school didn't you? There really isn't a whole lot of difference between socialism and nazism and facism. The hated each other because they all wanted power, and the others got in their way. Remember, Mussolini was the darling of the socialist movement for a long time (including Lenin), and all of them were loved by the progressive movement ( though it had another name!) .
But the basic idea for all was the government runs everything- the rest is just details.

@destrecht Actually I didn't just learn it from school. I looked it up in the library and looked up sources from the internet. Yes I do realize that Mussolini was a socialist but he switched sides. I will say that both extreme communism and fascism/Nazism love the idea of the totalitarian state. I wouldn't say that communism was really much the progressive movement because the progressive movement destroyed communism and the U.S.S.R. did things that progressives hated
