I have seen Daniel Kitson twice in Liverpool, once stand up and 66a church road, he was fantastic, unfortunately i now compare everyone to Daniel kitson and no one comes close, his story telling, amazing use of words with belly aching humour i feel priveliged to have listened and laughed.
I saw Stories for the Starlit Sky at Latitude recently, but only about 20 mins of it. I didn't catch the title, and have tried googling the bits I remember (there was a woman called Jenny, and a man (possibly Eric?) and they worked documenting acts of love;motherly love, a husbands' love, etc. They worked especially in romantic love. There were thousands of rooms and drawers etc.One drawer said "Flowers - No reason, Just because." ) I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can read it/buy it?
I saw Stories For The Wobbly Hearted at The Edinburgh Festival in 2005. What a funny, sweet and heart-rending performance. I've since seen C90 and a couple of stand-up shows. This man is truly gifted.
Absolutley loved this show when I saw it a few years ago. Dan, you absolutely have to get the whole video out there somewhere for us to see....please?
Good stuff but I have one suggestion. Allowing the embedding of your videos would greatly increase their ability to spread by word of mouth. I know I would definatly share this and your other video with my friends if I were able to.
Not many people make me laugh and Dan Kitson is on my short list of people who make me laugh. This world needs more people like Dan so people like me don't need to make lists.
Please look at my page cause it has a video of my bands song on it.Its called
Trepanning on the Transpennine. I think thats funny too. X
What is this video from? Its obviously profession, has Kitson done a DVD?

Daniel Kitson has really gone down hill over the years. This routine of story telling just isn't funny.

@daxyboyfuck You're right, it's not just funny - it's funny, whimsical, truthful, spellbinding and human.
sfa2 1 year ago
@daxyboyfuck he actually made a conscious effort to make his work less accessible so that it didn't appeal to people like you.

@beartyincognito Each to their own; you didn't really need the direct assault on daxyboyfuck.
I prefered sfa2's response.

... The scrabble letters see into my soul! o.O
It's true. Being around other people does make me lonely. Why is that? This world is organised terribly.

@Thiefree Because it highlights how different you are to everyone else.
The general populace can, in general, be ignored - they're the sort that think Peter Kay is funny.
As the board says, they are the cause - there are people to relate to out there, you just have to find them.
Good luck.

I saw c90 in melbourne and it was absolutely brilliant.
there were offers to make it into a film but he said he didn't want "actors treading over it in their cloven actor hooves"

I've seen him twice when he's come to Brisbane, and loved him each time.
Big love, Daniel!
