my parent's rocked this cut, on a 45 rpm when I was a kid, in fact this wasw one of the favorite friday/saturday nite specials you could hear coming from windows, and doors in the hood. It was bad then, it is bad now. I bow my head and walk away
Thank you for the chills, and goose bumbs... You are the man... so for that i say BRAVO !! ... To You..... please keep the music flowin... Great Job... loves the blues... its people like you that keep music alive for us to enjoy.... bravo!! your buddy Giorgio.... from Calif. bless you and stay safe.. :)
nice...there's a live performance by BB King and Bobby Bland where they sing this song...I can't find it in youtube....would you have that ? Thanks...
Fee So Bad--i could play this over and over again!! My fater still have the original LP in trhe living room, the record still in good condition!!! LM was and still is my favorite singer and guitarist
Superb and understated guitarist with a 'sweet' voice with just the right amount of 'grit'. Milton also performs a version of "I Can't Quit You Baby". With all due respect to the others who have performed this, Milton's version is my favorite. Is there anyone out there who can post the song?
The BLUES Is ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this one that Little Milton sings. I am looking for A Little Blue Bird, my mom's favorite aong!! My husband love this one as well as myself. This is a JAMMMMMM!
Little Milton's version of this song is what's up. Man and i thought i liked the live version by Bobby Bland in concert with BB King. Little Milton did his thang for real!!!
If you were at Sun,and you heard this and early Elvis .Why would you think,"Yes the young ,good looking ,white boys the way to go".But better still, then turn around and pretend, they invented it.HAHAHAHAHA
No one pretended they invented it. And Elvis also had a favorite singer who was caucasian and rockabilly, which was another popular genre at the time.
They did,the big "live" tape at Sun with Johnny Cash. The big discovery.Hooohaaa,Chuck Berry had been playing for 18 months.Rocket 88 was way back,Fats Domino s recording careeer was in its 6 th year. And they stole the poorly promoted black records before they went beyond local recognition..Stop me when I m lying.
All producers were fucking white in 1955.Chuck Berrys sound starts with Muddy Waters and T Bone Walker. Two more genius' who just about fed themselves on two shows a night and endless low pay for session work.
."... He didn't really make a splash though until the early 60s, which was maybe surprising considering his Bobby Bland style soulful blues was less fashionable then than when he started out..."
Not really surprising...R&B fans of that time didn't necessarily taylor their tastes to what main stream America thought was fashionable...not yet...the early and mid 60s found artist like Little Milton, "Blue Bland" B.B. and early Johnnie Taylor still immensely popular with R&B and urban Blues lovers

Fine version, but don't compare to Elvis. Both versions are great in their own interpretations. And that is how it should be.
